Im all for LGBT rights but TWD shouldn't be about pushing some liberal agenda. So no, there shouldn't be gay people just for the sake of them being there, especially if it breaks the immersion, hated that in Mass Effect 3.
Lol no, Pete and Luke aren't related.
It's pretty common in some countries for an older man to call a younger one "son" when talking to him without being related at all.
why exactly is it that a gay character being there automatically means they're pushing some liberal agenda? Can't he or she just exist for no particular reason?
I know, it's crazy, but gay people actualy do exist in real life [!!!!]

North Koreans do exist aswell, you just won't see them in real life because they are not allowed to leave their country. If there is a gay person in the game, then don't make it too obvious and not for the sake of pleasing lefties.

Why do people care so much about gay people? Maybe some of them are gay. Not every gay guy needs to show it so obvious. Gay or not I dont care. Only thing that matters is that the game will be good.
Problem is it was forced on you even if you're not. In real life gay people usually don't exactly hit on you unless they are sure you're with the same orientation. In a game like TWD that is set in southern USA with rednecks and what not being gay isn't something that people usually try to show so CannibalCarl is right. It would be cool if someone was closet gay and you can discover that. That would be realistic and well done. Kinda like Molly and Crawford.
It wasn't at all forced. Besides, Mass Effect is sci fi. I like that in it's version of the future, people aren't homophobic. They accept aliens, different orientations. I agree it shouldn't be forced but Aaron and Eric were in Southern USA. Good idea with the Molly and Crawford comparison

After doing a little bit of searching it appears GA has about an average homosexual population, about 3.5-4%, while your town and the surrounding area may have had an unusually high number of homosexuals that doesn't translate into the larger area of the state and surrounding states. It makes sense that gay people would want to group together with other gay people and your town, it seems, was the place to do it.
I articulated my reasoning in a terrible way by saying I thought it was petty, and I apologize. I just don't find it reasonable to expect a homosexual couple and use realism (or probability) as a basis for that argument.
I know this is anecdotal, but I live in GA (you know, where TWD takes place most of the time)... I know/have known/known of, off the top of my… more head, at least a dozen out-of-the-closet gay people in this town alone (I haven't always lived here). And there's something like 30-40 or so straight (OR THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT ME TO THINK!) people that have come and gone through my social circle. Now, I'm not gay nor do I seek out "the gay community," so this isn't a result of that. I live in Athens, and it IS gay-friendly (as is nearby ATL), so obviously that plays a part (in both the sampling and the openness), but there it is.
And what is petty about people wanting to see the diversity they experience in RL presented in their favorite entertainment?
Why do people care so much about gay people? Maybe some of them are gay. Not every gay guy needs to show it so obvious. Gay or not I dont care. Only thing that matters is that the game will be good.
No, but he was Dexter and Andrew before Rick and the group found the prison. You find out that the three of them had a sexual relationship when Axel is talking to Andrew after seeing Carol and Lori in the shower. He tells Andrew that Dexter will be "switching sides" soon after he finds a woman "willing and able".
Did anyone play 400 days? Wyatt and Eddie were clearly a couple.
I mean seriously, no grown men talk like that with each other unless ones rearin the other.
I bet that the survivors of the zombie apocalypse would be closet homosexuals. That didn't tell everyone of their sexuality nor show it to them in any way. For all we know everyone that hasn't been in relationship or close to being in one could be gay; Mark, the ST Johns, Lee's brother, chief Andre, Chet, Shawn.. need i go on? This doesn't really serve any purpose, and it would just feel forced to me. I say no, let there not be "obvious homosexuality" because it would just feel weird. The comics had a gay couple, but it still felt... meh
I personally feel all the straight people feel a little forced :-/ I mean.... Lee having a wife? That was kinda forced and didn't serve any real purpose...... If he had had a husband instead that would make sense but all the "obvious heterosexuality" felt a little... meh

I think what Still_not_bitten means is that he doesn't want TTG to shout from the highest mountain ''OMG U GAIS WE HAF TEH HOMOSEXUALS IN OUR GAEMS'' for the sake of being accepted by the Tumblr twit brigade. If they think they can tell a good story with a gay character, then that's all fine and dandy. But putting them in for political reasons is a few steps below from saying ''damn gays need to be cured o' their gayness, ahyuk!'' It's still not treating them like people who just happen to be attracted to the same gender, but rather as a political cause - which is a douchebag thing to do.

You are now aware that having alien sex in Mass Effect is nothing more than beastiality. Think about it, a human having sex outside their species is beastiality. And what are Asari, Turians and Quarians other than a different species (and family, and possibly genus)? BioWare is pro-zoophile.

This is tame by internet standards. I've visited forums where people literally discussed which race was the worst. Oddly enough everyone - the blacks, the whites, the mesoamericans, the hispaniscs etc. - all agreed it was the gypsies. It was weird seeing black and white supremacists agreeing that no matter how much they hate each other they hate gypsies more. It was fucking surreal, and hellishly hilarious.
Yeah, some people want to destroy a non-political game by implenting liberal agenda in it. Walking Dead wouldn't be the first game they destroyed by doing this...

i hope this happens then, i really don't want to play the games you play.
that is some bullshit!!
I'm.... pretty sure they are cousins. If Luke is indeed Pete's son.... just a guess since he does call him "sir" all the time.
Lol no, Pete and Luke aren't related.

ME3 just threw them in? No. It was so fans with any orientation could enjoy the romances. Same with the Dragon Age games

I feel they would welcome gay people as they would cause less of a population rise which means no babies and no extra mouths to feed.
Special snowflakes always want to push their beliefs on everyone else.

Or they could have just been close friends. You don't necessarily know.
This thread basically turned into a discussion about whether gay people go to hell or not, Im Out Peace
It'd be brilliant just because it'd annoy anyone shipping them with a certain little girl
Pushing? Such intolerant people are mysteries to me
I'm not saying it's wrong or anything, but do we really need this?
Do we?
Really?
Yes

Oh now you're just teasing me.
How about you stop being a raging homophobe and we'll call it even
gay people come back as zombies
really though, there is such little romance in the game. I think you can pretty much project any sexuality you want onto any of the characters
Right now you are pushing your ideals on me. Plus you offended me by calling me intolerant, you national socialist. Please go away!

WHAT THE FUCK IS ALL THIS ? This is like reddit all over again.
What are my ideals? You carzy Like Roman
