hmmm not sure if I would like it, but im open minded and need a new show to watch now that American Horror story is over, and since theres only 8 episodes of walking dead left till im waiting another 6 months for 8 more episodes.
Have you ever read The Great Gatsby? It's got a similar feel to that.
Basically, it's about Advertising Companies in 1950s New York. It mai… morenly follows the Creative director of Sterling Cooper, Don Draper. Don's a bit of an anti-hero, having several affairs, getting drunk and doing crazy things(not super crazy, and not often, but occasionally...), etc. Every single character in the show is amazing, and besides Don it also follows the other people who work at Sterling Cooper, including Roger Sterling, Peggy(Don's secretary), Pete(Head of accounting), and many others who you recognize when watching the show, but aren't really important enough to name...
The show doesn't really follow an story or plot. It just seems to be about the 50s as a whole, along with Sterling Cooper, and a lot of the time after watching an episode, the general reaction is: "That was fantastic! Wait, did anything happen?"
It's a bit of a non-story. Still, it's the best written non-story out there.
ok im assuming its the same scar from brother hood. I loved his character as a bad guy so I think im going to watch the original fma now. Just got to buy the series on dvd when I find it.
Yeah, Netflix has got up to Season 5. I believe that it comes back on after Walking Dead for Season 7, it's final Season. It's definitely not for everyone, but I think anyone can appreciate that it's a good show.

Your title should have said "one of the best stories ever" as to say otherwise assumes your opinion trumps everyone else's and to disagree with this means the person is in the wrong. Which from your responses, seems like what you're saying. It's probably not what you mean but that's how your responses to other's disagreement with you comes off.
This video is basically my thoughts on Bioshock Infinite in a nutshell.
I didn't have as many problems with it as this guy did, but yeah, a… moret least look at the part where he kind of takes the timeline apart to show just how horribly convoluted it is. I really don't mind that though, it's more that it just wasn't as good as the first two, but got a lot more recognition.
It's a really good story, maybe one of the best video game stories ever... but there's just too much out there to declare one clear cut champion. The Last of Us, Bioshock and Bioshock infinite, the Mass Effect series, and for me the first two Dead Space games are all contenders in the ps3/xbox360 generation of games alone. I could go back further and pick apart all the good Final Fantasy games I've played. I could talk about PC exclusive games like The Stanley Parable. And there's so many great films I've seen I don't really see any point in trying to decide one clear winner. It would just be madness.

Please do me a favor. Tell your friends and family that a five episode video game is the greatest story ever told. Then record them all laughing in your face for me. Appreciate it!
"It doesn't change the fact that there are 100's of films, comics, books and hell even other games that have better story telling than TWD" You did say fact. I've always been saying, "In my opinion".
My friends and family have either watched or played TT's TWD and they agree with me that it is one of the best.
Also, I can see your original comments in my notifications, so even if you edit it later, I can still see what you said, and I do not appreciate the insults.
I never meant that my opinion = fact.

Could somebody please explain Mass Effect to me? I only played the first one and I thought it was okay. Entertaining enough, but the gameplay got somewhat repetitive towards the end and I thought the story was relatively standard. I enjoyed playing it enough, but I don't understand why it's so massively popular.
Mass Effect 3's ending made me want to cry in frustration, if that counts.
Also, the intro of The Last Of Us made me cry, but nothing like the full-on sobbing into a pillow that ensued from the ending of The Walking Dead.
I'm sorry if I've offended anyone, I'm not trying to say that my opinion is the only valid one, or that it is a "fact". In some of the arguments here, I can see how some people would come to the conclusion that that was what I was trying to say, and I can assure you that that was not my intention.
If I may interject, I would imagine that there are certain relatively objective criteria (though "relatively objective" is an oxymoron) that can be used to judge the quality of an artistic product, if only for the amount of technical skill required to produce it. What you like more may be a matter of taste.

It's a lot better of a game than the cover picture would have you think though. Basically you're turned into a vampire only to find there is a whole society of vampires - there are some political themes, and I think the characters are really well flushed out. The best thing is replayability, there are so many little things that you pick up on each replay, whether about the characters or their relation to each other or subtexts to the plot... Plus there are tons of pop culture references.
Huh, sounds like something I'd be into, the link didn't work though.
I really like vampire stuff that's done well. Which, sadly, there is very little of. Is it similar to stuff like The Cat Lady or Downfall, that is to say, Psychological Horror Point and Click?

For whatever reason the dashes made the link text into italics, but you can look it up on wikipedia.
It's an FPS-RPG - you have health and blood (used for abilities, and gained by feeding), and you're given quests various quests. There's the main quest line and there are a ton of side quests as well. You also have 'masquerade violations.' The vampire society doesn't want their existence known so if you do anything that might reveal the truth (bite somebody or use an ability in public) you get a violation, too many and its game over. There are a few levels there are scary, but all and all it isn't particularly horror, I think the main appeal is the characters and intrigue.
There are some pretty excellent quotes too. One of my favorite speeches is from the head of the society in LA (where the game takes place) "The folly of leadership is knowing that no matter what you do, behind your back, there's hundred's certain that their own solution is the sounder one and that your decision was the by-product of a whimsical dart toss. I pronounce the blast sentence, and I soak the critical fallout. I make the decisions no one else will. Leadership. I wear the albatross, and the bullseye."

The entire franchise?! Wow...if you think the television series (TWD) has great writing then I am just done. I'll bet you think the Fast & The Furious is the modern age Godfather too. XD
Jesus, can you just shut up? Can't you learn to respect the opinions of other's? Yes, I think that the TV Show is great, you obviously disagree, fine, but there's no needed to be so rude.

Also, there you go thinking that your opinion is superior to mine, and once more, you are being insulting about it.
You know what, I'm just not even going to bother with you anymore since you turned out to be such an asshole. I'll leave you to your clueless and meaningless hate.

Me personally I love anti heroes more than "good guys and bad guys" cause they are usually (especially in animes) the only characters who show that everything isn't black and white and live in the grey. Plus their methods for being good are usually extreme while their methods for being bad aren't. Though in brotherhood he came across as a bit of a religious nut job, when you learn his backstory you learn why he's like that. Also I have to say this eventually but I think you have the coolest Kenny pic I have seen on this site

Oh come on now. The Walking Dead? No way does it even come close. Sure it's good but an apocalypse like this wouldn't even last three monthes (Its true its been proven that its impossible for an epidemic like the one perceived in these stories could carry on for that long) but there is so much better content than this. I love TWD but it really is not one of the best stories ever written, not by a longshot.
Instead, I'm just going to ask you to stop stepping all over my opinions, yours are no "better" than mine. You have your opinions, I have mine. I'm willing to leave it at that. You, on the other hand, are an asshole who thinks that your opinions are superior and apparently get joy off of making others angry through your incredibly immature and rude comments. I hope that you feel good about yourself.
lol "whaa shut up!!!"
No just cry me a river. Dude there is a difference between "Hey I think this is a great show" and "Wow this is one of the great works of all time".
lol, nice try dude. I already saw your other comment where you admitted to losing your cool and resorted to dropping the F-bomb. You keep hiding that rage behind your painfully unfunny meme's. I'll be happy knowing how butthurt you actually are. XD
The "unfunny meme" is gone now.

Go ahead and apply that logic to yourself you hypocrite.
Everything that has ever been made about time travel makes no sense in the end. Excluding Back to the Future, of course.

How has nobody mentioned Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines or the Fallout series?
What's Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines?
I believe this as well, I truly think that based on that, Walking Dead(really the entire franchise) is very high up there.

People like the characters, lore, and choices. Gameplay in the first game was horrible, mediocre in the second, and pretty good in the third.
I liked it a lot, but I wouldn't consider it a contender for best story.

Probably the coolest anime anti-hero I've seen in Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate.

I don't know. I don't think it's the best. We got Beyond Two Souls, The Last of Us and I'm very excited for The Wolf Among Us.
I really love tacos. Therefore, tacos are the best food ever invented. Don't make fun of me bro, it's just my opinion!
If you disagree with me, please write a 5 paragraph essay on the top 3 reasons why I am wrong.

In my opinion, your opinion is far too opinionated and, in my opinion, your opinion pales in comparison to the other opinions.
