That moustache just makes this character that much more awesome. I bet you anything Dorian will end up being the badass of Inquisition I mean I'm not gay but by god what gay man could resist that moustache.

It was in the panel going on, I think it was just a general question about the Warden and the answer was
'We're not bringing back The Warden in Inquisition. Sort of.'
No idea what sort of means.
Well, to be fair, the Warden is a bit of a slippery slope. No voice, dozens and dozens of potential personalities rather than Hawke's three, and the (many) determinant fates.
Well, if it means exactly what it means, it's fucking great... not!
So, they're bringing back Hawke, but the Warden gets the short end of… more the stick? Not to mention bringing Cullen back, urgh.
Fuck you, Bioware. You're treading on a thin ice here.
It's very disappointing. After all the rumors floating around about how you can modify your Warden's and your Hawke's appearance in the DA Keep, it turns out that it's Hawke only, and your Warden is as good as dead in terms of the storyline.
I agree that the Warden is way too determinant in almost everything, but what was the point of keeping him/her alive? Just so they could disappear in "The Witch Hunt"/mentioned once in Alistair & Teagan dialogue? Well, that's just fan-fucking-tastic.

Still disappointing, but...

I'm so pissed off right now, I can't help it.
Maybe the sort of means that they'll mention the Warden, or maybe someone will mention they found him or her dead, lonely and forgotten behind the baseboard of a soiled bathroom in a poor neighborhood, with their hand in an apostate's pants."
Yeah, yeah, it's Cole. However, I'm so disappointed by the fact that the Warden won't make an appearance that I don't even give a damn about those renders anymore.

It's just that the phalanx stance is preferable for fighters in, well, a phalanx. While not in a phalanx, and in the more single type combat that Dragon Age generally depicts, you would want to have your sword at a better angle, always keeping it between you and your enemy, within striking distance of the enemy. Keeping it in front of you is generally the best way to not have an opponent's sword easily slip over your shield and stab you in the face. It's also an inconvenience to have your sword in a position where your quickest thrust is over your shield. This is very limiting, and not practical for defense. Whereas in a phalanx, your spear would be far longer than those swords, and would be in a position to prevent attacks from your opponent.
The way the shield is being held is also unconventional, in that a kite shield would generally not be a center gripped shield, that would be more prevalent in a round shield. As we see it, simple leverage would allow an opponent's sword or shield to push the shield to either side, thus, as Cullen would say (making me cringe), "controlling the battle."
Maybe I'm looking to far into this, considering there is magic, and demons, and it's a game. Lol.
On a far more relevant note, thanks for the uploads. I generally don't seek news for games out, so having it here is nice. The character models are looking really good. It's upsetting that the Warden is being pretty much dropped, but I still have my hopes up that this will be a good game, minus Cullen.
The character creator looks really good. The standouts for me were that there are a lot of facial hair options, and the scars look very realistic. The hairstyle options seemed a bit lacking though. I like the color wheel.

It works out good for me that you made this thread and that you guys all post updates in here, because I don't want to use the Bioware forums, and I don't really keep up with the news elsewhere since I don't use Twitter, Facebook, etc.

When I first saw that mustache, I thought to myself "That character is definitely gay". Boy, was I right.
Lol, that was the exact same thing I thought.
And you're damn right.
Damn straight. Well, maybe "straight" was the wrong word in this instance.
Damn... gay? I don't know, even, lol.
That's why I just left it alone, lol.
Dat moustache. That's it, one of my inquisitor will romance Dorian. :-D
Next time: Solas or Cole
I hope there'll be separate poster just for Bianca.
One of the sexual moves will be caressing his partners' intimate areas with his mustache.
Here comes another pretty badass pic. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you - Sole Ass- sorry, Solas!
Well, they've now confirmed The Warden isn't returning in DAI.
Deflate your hype balloons on that, then.
Is that confirmed for every potential Warden?

Well, there's still the delibrate wording of 'sort of' to cling to I guess.
I'd rather be disappointed now and only get mildly disappointed later, than cling onto false hope and get disappointed twice as much.
True enough.

I am removing this hat as soon as I get him in-game. :S
Yeah, it looks really cheesy, lol.
New stuff. Lotta character creator footage, and some gameplay.

Phalanx stance with a sword and shield? Can't say that's the stance I'd use.
I imagine your stance changes depending on whether you're using something like Shield Defense, Shield Wall, etc. like it did in the past.

And on that note, here's a new trailer for the CC, in glorious HD. And with dwarves.

Yeah, the Qunari hairstyles in particular seem a bit limited. I was hoping horns and hair would be separate.
I guess my female Qunari will just rock the mohawk.
I don't really understand the deal with that female Kossith gif, lol.
I wanted face scanning. I mean they have the technology for it with Fifa, that sort of feature would make these types of games that much better.
They have it with Madden as well, and it probably works in all of their sports games.

I'm gone for a few days and already missed so many stuff. That new character creator looks really great!
Haven't seen anyone post Inquisitor's poster yet, so here it is.
Also, how do you like this full cover image?
Neat.
