Updated family photo
Let's acknowledge the fact that Kate is not bothered by having a family picture that features Mari and Gabe's mother. It could be akward for some.
I'm not sure if this has been pointed out by anyone here, but the song that plays when Javi and Clem meet, is a darker version of the S1 an… mored S2 soundtrack "Alive Inside". It could mean Clem as a person has grown darker to the world. Many thanks to a commentor who noticed this and here is the Ost of you wanna listen to it:
I know it's not the place, but I noticed them in my photo folder, and I didn't want them to go to waste.
well, wouldn't be surprised if alex is modeled after season 1 clem.
and lily? eh that's a stretch, but I can sorta see what you mean.
Interesting. Not really the place for it, but interesting. I'm honestly having hard time picking between the two, since Clementine somewhat … moreresembles Alex Fairbanks and Becca is not only wearing a jacket but always looked kinda weird to begin with--kinda like a pale young Lilly, now that I think about it.
{Yo Mods! If you could relocation these two replies/posts to my character design thread, that'd be great!}
Ya know, that actually looked pretty good at first. Then I looked at her lipstick'd mouth.
Also, I think it would've been a neater touch if it was Nick's hat.
This one is for the people wondering—what does "From The Gallows" mean?
Gallows humor is humor about very unpleasant, serious, or pain… moreful circumstances. Any humor that treats serious matters, such as death, war, disease, and crime, in a light, silly or satirical fashion is considered gallows humor. Gallows humor has been described as a witticism in response to a hopeless situation. It arises from stressful, traumatic, or life-threatening situations, often in circumstances such that death is perceived as impending and unavoidable.
Gallows humor has the social effect of strengthening the morale of the oppressed and undermines the morale of the oppressors. According to Wylie Sypher, "to be able to laugh at evil and error means we have surmounted them."

Are we upset that they included a little variation that depends on our choices when they could've not included a little variation that depends on our choices?
What's especially about that is the fact that they have a story generator built into the game in case you didn't play them first, so I don't see the issue aside from the fact that Clementine would be the one making the references

Not sure if this was already posted on this thread, but I found this YouTube playlist that features scenes that are easily missed or rare to see in Season 1 & 2.
Some of them, I didn't even know about up until now, and this has been out since 2012. Like, asking Carley about Ben, talking to Katjaa inside the barn and even calling out to the survivors during the Motor Inn raid.

The title of episode 4 of season 3, 'thicker than water' is a reference to a common quote: 'Blood is thicker than water', taken to mean that familial bonds are stronger than those of friendship.
However, this is famously misused. The quote is, in full, 'the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb', which actually means that the bonds we form as friends are more important than those of family.
We can see Eleanor speaking with other inhabitants in the background just after Javier and Clementine arrive at Prescott.
It is barely visible. I'm still not quite sure how I managed to spot it!

Great detail! I'm sure there's more than a few people who don't know about the idiom being commonly misused.
[whisper] Still not sure what covenant means.

Right after Lee shoots the cop, you are able to look around for a second and there is a circle icon for Lee to look into the woods, but it disappears before you can click on it, queuing the cutscene where the walkers appear.

Earlier in the thread I posted this image:

Turns out I was wr… moreong, it's actually based on a beta model of Kate!
Beta version on the left, final version on the right.

It basically is a strong form of 'agreement' or 'treaty' or something, basically an intense promise of loyalty! The most famous example is the supposed covenant formed between mankind and God in the Bible.

Well, they're not her kids(even though she looks like Mariana), so why would she be?
Lee's expression makes this song even more depressing.

And Sarah's glasses, let's go wild on this one.
Where are photoshop masters when we need them?
So... gallows humor is like dank memes?
Especially when rewind option is nowhere to be found. You would have to compare random playthroughs to notice such a little detail.

Eh. I'm still waitin my pic of Michelle with Sarah's glasses
I know, right?

Yeah it looks like an edit to me
Yeesh, I think Katjaa was about to turn into somethin there.
That's gotta be the angriest/scariest version of Katjaa ever.
YOU CHOOSE KIDS THIS TIME LEE DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME YOUNG MAN
yes ma'am
And to think, all those years ago, many of us never knew that this scene made the cut.
Oh hey, that's actually my playlist
I should probably continue that someday
The people behind Clementine in episode 4 can be seen in the episode 5 slide
Bout time for a war cry...

I was wondering about that to be honest.

Who the hell is Eleanor again?

"A covenant, in its most general sense and historical sense, is a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from a specified action."

Actual new characters or just poor people that won't ever show up lmao?
Hmm...
The asian not-doctor chick that escorted Kate to Richmond and who everyone assumes will be evil because Die for Our Ship.
It means that Clem will "give birth" to an alien. Hm, that's actually disgusting.
Jane suicide foreshadowing?
2:29
Clem: "We could hang for this."
...Clem attempted execution foreshadowing?
It was unused so I doubt it.

You can actually click it if you're fast enough, but it doesn't change anything.
I've replayed the game like 10 times. Whenever you get near it, it auto triggers the cutscene, I've never hit it.

I must say that I much prefer the Kate that we got.
I have. Maybe it depends on the platform, I play on PS4.

She looks a little like Andrea, so I'm glad they changed her to the one we have in the game.
