Already? What about E3? And why'd they announce it in a tweet and news article? Doesn't have as big an announcement as I would have thought. It seems very anti-climactic like this.

Just a friendly request - you can use this thread in Telltale Talk to voice your feedback if you are a fan of more mature games like Walking Dead, but please don't troll over directly in the Minecraft forums. Consider this the newly designated thread for Walking Dead/etc Telltale fans to voice feedback, joke around, or whatever else.
Just as you guys would not like Minecraft fans trolling the Walking Dead forums, we are similarly going to ask that you guys not troll the Minecraft forums. Keeping your feedback here over in Telltale Talk is okay, but please don't hurt the experience of forum users posting over in the Minecraft forums.
Unfortunately, people aren't liking Guardians that much, and we seem to be a small minority of people who play it. (so, that's probably considered a "small" project.)
A lot of people were disappointed from TWD this year, so I think that tarnished their view of the game a bit (because Guardians has done much better than ANF so far).
Not really in response to anyone, but a thought:
They're doing, what, three games this year. With the major complaint about the first tw… moreo being quality.
Now they're throwing an "easier" series in the mix. I don't think that's a bad thing.
Even with their engine, I think one game a year is a lot to focus on. Three is a bit ridiculous.
If they can go to doing one major series and one simpler series(odd short games, minecraft, poker), I think it'll benefit everyone.
Granted, I don't know how Guardians' is being perceived because I haven't seen anyone over here talk about it... at all. Which isn't usually a good thing.
I think I'll be straddling the line between liking and hating this Minecraft move.
I enjoyed the first season, (I am one of the few who preferred Eps1-4 more than 5-8) and it offered some of the best determinant, cosmetic variations to how events played out. None of them mattered in the long run, of course, but the journey there felt very detailed and different than other people's playthroughs.
I am slightly excited for the second season, but I don't like the fact that the one series that at least had some ambiguous ending that tied most things up at the end (in Ep8) is getting a sequel just under a year later.
There have been so many other series that have set up and begged for sequels that appeared long, long ago (ok, maybe it's just been a few years but it felt so long.)
I'll wait for E3 and see if there's anything else on the plate. I'll even wait for Comic Con this summer or even The Game Awards later on... But Telltale really needs to get a sequel to a previous game going. People have been asking for a long time, and I'm sure it would bring in all the money.
One more thing: I think for continuations, that long awaited Super Show is the way to go. If it is extremely successful, we can see many sequels for that, easily. Since Telltale would own the IP themselves, it would be much faster to get a plan rolling for future seasons.

It's also probably their best selling game since TWD. I wish I could say for sure, but it's just a hunch seeing as they don't release sales … morefigures. I would actually be really interested in seeing accurate sales figures of all their games across each platform, cause Steamspy is hardly a reliable view of the company's health.
But... For why? Who asked for this? Honestly, I can't find very many people asking even casually for more MCSM, but people have literally be… moregged for Tales and TWAU Season 2. I will happily eat my words if at E3 more than just Minecraft gets revealed, but I think this is a terrible profit making decision as well as a nod that they don't even slightly care about the community.
So I said before that I was hyped but I would like a season 2 of another game more (more on the tftbl side) especially because they added “newcomers can jump straight in” I still hope they make references to Rueben and stuff and if Ivor isn’t there would there even be reason to play? I mean Ivor is the best character.
This is Telltale Talk, we're not in the Minecraft forums, so obviously you're gonna find here people who doesn't like MC: Story Mode (me included). Try not to create any arguments.
Yeah, I can't lie. I'm a little pissed off about it.
What the whole thing boils down to is the amount of TellTale games that greatly deserved a second season... and they go with Minecraft.
Tales, The Wolf Among Us, and Game of Thrones fans cry you a sweater of tears...and you make another Minecraft season. Minecraft. Out of every possible sequel you could give your library of games...Mine.Craft.
Patience, man! It's been, like, a week since Episode 5 released. It'll be a bit before they talk about it, and other things are probably a priority now the ANF is finished.
If it were a priority or in the works they would have made an announcement confirming it. They made a thank you statement with no mention of future walking dead content at all. Seeing how they have 2 series going on with potentially more projects the possibility of a walking dead installment does not look plausible anytime soon. I'm simply stating that this could be a backburner project for a unspecified time in the future.

If I'm being honest, I don't really know about season 2 of Story Mode. I mean, I thought it was an okay series, but we've waited for a The Wolf Among Us - Season 2 and there's been no news on Game of Thrones - Season 2, so I just hope they will take their time with this series and produce good episodes that won't feel too cheesy or rushed. It's why I like Guardians so much--they take their time for that series' episodes.
And that's kind of all.
I'm really shocked that they announced yet another game so freaking fast.
Most game developers spend years refining their games, Telltale has been rushing out cheap products to the point of insanity. They had two years to work on season 3 and they rushed it at the last minute! (And instead made the non canon New Frontier)
Take your time for the love of god! I don't care if it's an interactive experience! Night in The Woods was in development for over 4 years! Undertale just under 3. Life is Strange over 2 (and that was a flawed one!).
A single, expansive interactive story would be much more interesting.
I honestly didn't want them announcing Wolf or Borderlands right now, so soon after rushing so many freaking games, I would rather they take a long time developing them, but apparently they don't care about consumer goodwill, reception or profit!
Let's have real talk here, do we really want a Season 2 for GoT considering how they butchered our choices for ANF? Still, I hope they aren't silently discarding GoTS2 from their deck.

Unless they have another announcement for a certain game that we have been waiting for...
I'm hoping we have more returning characters than just Petra, but at least we have confirmation that Jessie is back!
I'm hoping to see Ivor back as i liked him in the season 1 DLC episodes.
I guess they will still talk about it at E3, maybe they announced it slightly earlier due to the classification leak.

That is a good plan you have there.

True True True
well on steam its sales figures are pretty low compared to other TT games
Yeah I wonder the same . But its possible most of them are below 12 and dont have TT community accounts

"EHHHHHHHH?????"
Too bad most of them aren't mature enough to be playing them...

I'm really curious as to why they picked Minecraft for a 2nd season as well. Did it do better in sales than Tales / TWAU / GoT?
I think it did. Mostly and possibly because of the large, large Minecraft fan-base.
Let's have real talk here, do we really want a Season 2 for GoT considering how they butchered our choices for ANF? Still, I hope they aren't silently discarding GoTS2 from their deck.
I watch allot of panels, but the minecraft ones make me cringe the most and it's only because of the questions and sometimes the answers x.x
Buys it later anyway with aggressive passion
Why do I do this to myself?
Just gonna leave this here
