Lair of the Leviathan - Speculation
Right, well... let's keep all the speculations in here (haven't found another thread, correct me if I'm wrong)
Anyway, I think the next episode (or, the most part of it) will be set entirely in the giant manatee, where I think we will also encounter Murray
Guybrush and Morgan will probably bond in a way but because of the title of chapter 4, I doubt it will end well...

Oh, and LeFlay will turn out to be Largo LaGrande in disguise
when she didnt go with him i was like :( guybrush
This could easily be one of the sea creatures taking the gang underwater to La Esponja Grande that is hidden in the lair of the leviathan. just transporting them in it's mouth as it were, and then spitting them out in the lair.
Further more, I feel that Morgan has a crush on Guybrush ("but you're married to Elaine...") and will eventually turn out good in the end.
I also got a funny idea about the Pox in Elaine... somehow it just seemed different on her (no actual visual pox and her eyes seemed different to the other pox victims)... Maybe it turns out she isn't really Elaine and the Pirate God (LeChuck???) has put some sort of spell on her.
i had to delete a few posts when it turned out it didnt really post them. then it really DID post them, so i deleted a few.
i blame the stock market
indeed... first time I posted the boards just froze, reloaded, didn't see my post, posted again and it got posted twice.
Anyway, hm, I wouldn't be surprised if a few familiar faces turn up within the belly of the beast - like Murray or whoever.
I can't really think of what else to expect, though - we'll probably finally get plot revelations from De Cava, and maybe even learn something about the nature of the Pox itself, but that's all I've got.
*edit* Oh yes, and the sponge has to be there as well, right? Unless 'someone else' siezes it beforehand.
Thinking of that, we probably haven't seen the last of Macgillicuty.
And it's a manatee. Not only do they say it as they're being swallowed, but that's a theme with the merfolks so it makes a lot of sense.
Especially with all the hints to a "Path of the mouth".
And I don't really care if we get to see Murray or not. We got the Pyrite Parrot.
I think she doesn't trust Human LeChuck at all and is just playing along with him to keep an eye on what he's up to. You can tell at the end where she tells Guybrush "Trust me."
It would be interesting if he was inside the manatee.
Since he had a map to "Path to the Mouth"... He's been there at least once. He'll be an interesting character for sure.
That was my initial thought as well!
LOL, when I saw it I was like "That's no leviathan, that's a huge manatee!" XD and can't believe my friend said "That's the second biggest manatee I ever seen!"
But yeah, from seeing many manatees in this game, I know what they look like. And leviathan in legend is a huge water SNAKE! *looks at the people on the forum* Yeah a SNAKE. Get it in your head guys!
The sponge only soaks up the pox so he could end up sucking the pox back into himself.
The 'path of the mouth'-map in his cabin in the game could either refer to the route you have to take to get to the manatee, or it could be the route the manatee swims to get to his lair/the sponge. If it's the last one, it could mean that De Cava wanted to travel to the lair/sponge inside his submarine instead of inside a giant manatee (which would be rather sensible of him).
But yeah, my money is on meeting De Cava and his ruined submarine inside the manatee/lair/ocean floor next episode. Oh, and I just wanted to say that the last cutscene of Spinner Cay is the most impressive cutscene Telltale has ever made. Really, really impressive stuff.
like rescuing her and wet monkeys from the botom of the ocean
LOL! That actually makes me remember of Pinocchio being swallowed by a whale XD
Well, Jacques the monkey from DeSinge's lab in Chapter 1 looked awfully similiar to the same monkey (the thirteenth monkey of montevidoe) that witnessed the explosion of Elaine's ship from it's deck, and could be thrown away along with Guybrush (and then got to DeSinge accidentaly). I mean, there could be something importatnt tied to this monkey, considering everything that LeChuck and Elaine do with the monkeys in Chapter 2.
who knows?
besides telltale.
Even so, Jacques is a monkey. There's got to be something with the monkeys (I mean, just returning them to their natural habitat - it can't be simple enough as THAT). Plus, we do most likely return to Flotsam at some point. So there may be something boiling, who knows... besides TellTale, yes.
And I don't know about you guys, but I think Guybrush is the kind of man that when he sees his girl getting too close to another man (like Elaine and LeChuck) would flirt with another woman (Morgan) just to make her jealous.
I find it funny how when Guybrush
