    That would be fantastic

I love that idea. So much that I'll be disappointed if it's not the case.

    I am so serious.

By the way, I also have a suspicion that De Singe is in league with LeChuck somehow. I've been pondering that possibility a lot.

Someone drew ppl's attention in another thread to Guybrush's first meeting with LeChuck in ep2 (more specifically, what LeChuck was saying to the monkey). Since then (having replayed for myself), I've been convinced LeChuck just being devious and he's definitely not good. Also that he could well be linked to Singe.

What I don't get currently, is why LeChuck is humoring Guybrush and leading him on. The only reason he would help Guybrush would have to be selfish, and therefore he doesn't want anything to happen to Guybrush for a reason. Possibly, LeChuck wants the carrier of the Pox to stay safe and well and even on the track to the Sponge. If anything happened to Guybrush, the Pox could be out of Lechuck's reach and control in a singular form. With LeChuck's venemous mojo inside another carrier, LeChuck is free to use some means to experiment on it and use it for his advantage however he wants. And let us not forget that Elaine carries the Pox now as well. One can only wonder what would happen if De Singe or LeChuck got their hands on Elaine as a carrier of the Pox.

I find it suspicious then, with that theory in mind, that it goes so well with the condition De Singe wants Guybrush in. De Singe wants Guybrush well, intact, and completely whole for his experiments. If LeChuck also wants Guybrush intact as a carrier of the Pox, it stands to reason that he and De Singe might be working together with the same goal.

Interesting theory, I like it. Makes a lot of sense. We'll see on 29th.

I don't think LeChuck and De Singe have been working together the whole time, but I wouldn't be surprised if LeChuck made a deal with him after chapter 2. LeChuck can gain a lot by pretending to be good, especially if he is still in control of the pox. In the prologue of chapter 1, he mentions that his outer shell is meaningless and that there is more voodoo magic inside him than anyone will ever know.

With that in mind, I think LeChuck still has some voodoo magic in him, just not enough to be detected. With this little bit, he is able to control all the poxed pirates while remaining in Elaine's good books. I think he is now manipulating Guybrush to find the sponge for him, so he could use it for his own purposes and perhaps use it to become a pirate god. As for the monkeys, I believe he is completing another step in plan with those monkeys and Elaine. LeChuck is going after it all, an army under his control, ultimate power, good looks, Elaine's love, all the seven seas under his rule, and Guybrush dead with the help of De Singe.

Wow, another good theory! Is there something in the magnetic energies of the world tonight? lol

I think we'll find out that the voodoo released from Guybrush's improvised cutlass has a will of its own and is possessing people in order to secure La Esponja Grande and make sure it isn't a threat.

At the moment I'm pretty sure it has control of Elaine. And through her, it is using Guybrush and LeChuck as agents, since they're both in love with Elaine. LeChuck seems pretty clueless; subtlety isn't one of his strong suits. I don't see him as an enemy at the moment, only a dummy. She's using Guybrush to find the sponge and make sure it doesn't threaten her, and she's using LeChuck and his Monkey cargo for some other nefarious plan, probably something to do with the "Pirate God" of episode 5.

After seeing the recent preview film, I suspect that Guybrush will have to convince Morgan to pretend to be married to Guybrush, so De Cava isn't mad with jealousy. Of course, this will lead to complications with Elaine down the road.

Now that you mention it, that might be the case. Also, dont forget Elaine gave Guybrush her ring, so it should still be in your inventory at the start of chapter 3, otherwise, what's the point in getting it in episode 2?

Well if he just acted like a dick to Guybrush, Elaine wouldn't take kindly to it. Maybe it's all an act to win over Elaine.
