Wait... holy shit, I took a smiling picture? I never do that. Well, it is an exceptionally awesome Secret Santa gift. The guy bought me a whole weekend of Dragoncon, too!
I don't know about you guys, but I got my first glasses 7 months before I got my first computer.
Well, my family had computers before I was born and I remember using them either in maternal school or before maternal school, so yeah, I used computers years before I wore glasses (possibly ten years?). And my whole family has bad eyes so I'm going to say it's genes.
But maybe being a nerd runs in families too, and they're the same ones?
I have noticed. A lot of people here wear glasses.
I uses both glasses and lenses, but right now I neither of it.
My glasses are broken and I´m to lazy to fix them.
I can use them but with risk of one of the glass falls out.:p

Duct tape is your friend. Or you can perform your own laser surgery! :P
See through tape is a better bet. Oh, as a legal disclaimer NEVER perform self surgery. Jessica seems smarter than that, but you never know... Sorbet302 might be reading.
I just use cheap functional clean looking frames, that way if they break (and they always do) I can grab a new set of frames cheap. I only use my glasses for reading and stuff usually so I don't go for fancy designer frames
I've had sticky taped glasses, super glued, and even a pair where every time the screw fell out I'd be in the kitchen at work screwing it back in with a sharp knife. Last few years I've taken advantage of my health cover and gotten my 2 free pairs a year, even if I don't need any. I finally have spare glasses, sunglasses, and even a fancy pair for going out. Not that I ever remember to wear them...

You look like a really happy and nice guy!:D
Thanks!
I am now...
They sure would, good buddy! They sure would!
'Tis indeed a nice hat, but the manic grin is probably better.
A common affliction for nerds? Brought about, perhaps, by staring at computer monitors for hours on end?
I have been staring at screens for all my life. Cartoons -> Snes -> N64 -> PS2 -> PS3
And also PC through that whole line.
Still have good eyesight though...>.>

Oh yeah? Well mine is BIGGER.
I would say it was more from reading for prolonged hours in exceptionally dim light...and then lying on the eye exam.

Or you can use see-through tape. My left glass has been see-through-taped for like the last year, it works fine!
I had to do the "tape your glasses together" thing for three months in the seventh grade. Not fun.
I was, however, able to persuade my parents that I needed contacts, so it wasn't a total loss.
Ah, thanks for the tip!
About the duct tape, own laser surgery, nja I think I wait with that!
Well maybe I should try that, * starts looking for some tape around here..*
That really suits you!
...plz?
:<
I will learn... eventually:D
( always fun to irritate someone..)
It is my most favorite hobby and it is a habit befitting a godtier troll!
We should walk together in the path of annoying fiend!:p
So say we all!
Wow, I must say that the hat really did the picture!
