I'm studying digital animation, and I have dual citizenship to USA.

Problem is, I'm broke, and I live in Australia.

Maybe a couple years down the road. o_o

How likely is Telltale to hire someone straight out of school? (University, not high school).

I'm sure not all of their employees are gay.
(Yeah, I read it that way at first for some reason).

Y'know, I spent a pretty long time trying to put all my insecurities into a single, simple sentence and I still got misconstrued. :> But seriously, is it likely? And is it ok if I apply before I actually graduate? Although the jobs page says to state one's earliest start date, I wonder if it's bad etiquette to name a date a few months away.

Give it a shot, what's the worst that can happen.

You already know the best that can happen ;).

Semi-off topic. I might go to San Fran over the summer. Permission to stop by?

    Bah! It's all computer stuff.

I turned in a resume, cover letter, etc. for the Designer - Internship a couple days ago (this was my second submission) and was wondering.

    A. Is the position still open or is it closed? The description said it "starts in January" and didn't state much else.

    B. If it is open is there a possibility that I could get a reply as to if my information had been considered.

Because I need to know by sometime next week if I'll need to change my schedule if I can still get this position. My e-mail is colt.buhr@gmail.com for reference.

I tried to call the company about this but found out that your HR department doesn't have a phone number, and haven't received any e-mails back in regards to sending a follow up letter. I'm really hoping that it's still open but i'm losing hope right now.

    For writers, yes :)

I'd love to apply, but the "legally qualified to work in the united states" thing is a bit of a show-stopper for now. Also, I haven't completed any game-related projects since university. I know pretty much any gaming company likes to see those, so I guess I should try to get working on one of those again.

Yeah but they're not offering any jobs for you.

Telltale will always have an opening for me. Right?!

I wish i could work at telltale but i think i won't qualify, i need to finish my computer course first. So goodluck to those who are planning to apply.

Good luck to all of the applicants

    Wish you all the best...

    Dear Telltale,

If I were to apply here in a few years, would you look at the forums and say "sh*t; this guy's crazy"?

Would this lead to a less likely hire?

    And the signature.

If Telltale had need of a composer I'd apply, but they have Jared who does basically everything.

I think Telltale is in need of my considerable vocal talents. With my native Georgia-ness, I'd be a perfect fit for the Walking Dead game.

Any STE2/STLead positions coming open soon?
  • edited March 2011
totally didn't get even close to getting hired, which makes sense, as I'm only a second year student, and I had no resume; still I wanted to thank the whole TTG crew for making GDC a memorable experience, especially the guy with the fauxhawk who was telling me about the different deaths they did for jurassic park; really great job of making us potential hire-ees feel at ease, and best of luck at your new TTG employment!

I am thinking of applying in a few months for the testing position. Being in school for most of my life, I have no work experience. Would that be an issue? However, I am a bit of a geek when it comes to games and know my way from a computer.

So... Either I work for Telltale or become an Imagineer... Which one?!

    GUYS.

Start a Telltale East division. I could head it up, too! I'd do a better job than anyone conceivable when it comes to running a gaming company right... into the ground.

    Worth it!

I wanna work for TTG.... I would move to California no problem... I am so sick of WI winters....

You can totally watch snow fall in California. All you have to do is turn on your TV and watch the news for pretty much every other part of the country.

And the best part is: enjoyment without discomfort! No need to go shoveling snow or break your kneecap on a slippery patch or other unpleasant snow-related things that I know nothing about.

Gee...I sound like an advertisement. I'm not a spambot, honest!

I do. Snow is completely overrated (says the person who's never had snow in her life).

Oh, no I definitely agree. Way overrated. I used to like snow when it would fall over few years for one day, but then I spent three years in a place where it traps you home six months out of twelve. Snow is evil.
  • edited April 2011
where i live it only snows for 2 months so i guess thats why i am fine with it
