Oh, no I definitely agree. Way overrated. I used to like snow when it would fall over few years for one day, but then I spent three years in a place where it traps you home six months out of twelve. Snow is evil.

You make me happy it doesn't snow in California. Very happy.

I like snow, but we only get a couple days a year of it here (though last year we almost got a month, that was very nice).

Doesn't explain all the people who move to California. :D

    Specifically to avoid snow.

But snow is glorious! I often find myself wishing we had global cooling instead of global warming, because the South is ungodly hot. Maybe I'll move to Scandinavia some day.

I'm pretty sure this thread is not about snow, so let's get it back in line about either submitting your resume to telltale.

    One more derailment and I'll..

ANYWAY, last I saw Telltale started hiring testers again. That sounds pretty cool!

What does the Telltale group look for in a Tester? My work experience is kind of all over the place in customer service stuff but I was educated on the basics for game testing and have been in a couple of closed betas.

Is there anything I should cut? If I list my previous employers would that be something uninteresting or does performance at count?

I live in North Dakota now, but wouldn't mind moving for a fun, endless battle against the nightmarish reality of testing.

Working in a games environment in California? Doing what you love and getting paid for it? Sounds like a dream! I am planning to do a games programming course in London this year, the first year i get a diploma, the second year i get a degree, but i wont have much work experience when i walk out of qantm college, so how would i go about joining telltale? Suppose experience is the key? What else are u guys looking for in an applicant.

How easy is it for EU citizens to get a working permit in US?

I can't say that I have been contacted about my application. I'm highly interested for the Entry Cinematic Artist position. My resume, cover letter, and my portfolio have been submitted and I even have a link to my blog which also links to my portfolio for good measure.

REITERATION: It is in Telltale's best interests to hire me. Think about it: it just works on so many levels!

Curious if you hire people who studied Computer and Electrical Engineering? I'd imagine you look more for people in programming and the like but everyone needs someone to manage the hardware! It'll be a couple years before I'm done but if you do hire out of that area of study I'll make sure to get in touch when I'm done with school.

    Hey,

My name is J. Kartje and I am very excited to meet the staff at Telltale Games. I sent in my resume today for the Customer Support Representative position. I am currently in San Francisco working at IGN Entertainment in an internship. That ends in the middle of August and I'm hoping to come over to Telltale after that! My linkedin profile can be found here www.linkedin.com/in/jkartje.

I can't wait to learn more!

    Thanks,

    -J.

I didn't read through the entire thread but is there a specific location where the jobs are based?
  • edited August 2011
    San Rafael, California.

It makes me sad that I'm nowhere near Telltale and that they aren't hiring any sort of IT staff.
  • edited November 2011
Can anyone tell me how I'd audition for voice-acting? I get the impression that Telltale outsource their voice casting to an outside company. Which company is this? Who can I contact?
  • edited November 2011
Your writing staff probably sucks. Replace them by going for gold: going... for Pants.
  • edited November 2011
Psh. Who would go for gold when they can get platinum? Go for Alcoremortis.
  • edited November 2011
Fuck it, PANTS is now Uranium. Far more valuable in the right circles.
  • edited November 2011
    Take it elsewhere, you two.
  • edited November 2011
You're only saying that because you're jealous of my ever growing harem, you poor sod.
  • edited November 2011
On a more serious note, all the positions currently listed are on the game building side. Will Telltale need/are they looking for business analysts?
