What position did you apply for, out of curiosity?
CM.
Just finished up with the interview process. It was really solid (I think anyways). TTG sounds like a great place to work and I have a feeling a lot of great things are in store for the future. Really excited to watch it all happen from the outside or in...
I'm currently looking at the Tester position, hope to move up in the industry to an entry-level production position at some point. They do have an Assistant Producer position, but having no actual production experience outside of DigiPen, I doubt I'll be legitimately considered for it.
Also, I have a pool table I can donate to the company if I end up down there, which is a much more viable option than putting it in storage until it rots.
I'm currently looking for a nice company for my Master's thesis in Software Engineering. Since Telltale's demand for crazy Germans seems to be satisfied for now, I'm going to take a shot at Daedalic. California is way too warm for me anyway
Yep! Though our HR is currently a little scattered so it might take a few days to hear back.
Cool thanks will. I submitted my resume back in July and i talked to Lindsay on the phone but i see shes no longer on the our team page. Is my resume still on file?
I wonder, why Telltale isn't hiring any new support employees. Based on my own experiences with the support and the impression I got from reading some of the threads in the support forum, I believe this is definitely a necessity.

Well I believe it's just bonnie, and some of us Forumites try to take care of some of the stuff for her on the support Forums.

What was the position BTW? Also, how did it all go as its been a month?
I'm currently a film student at Columbia College in Chicago....I'm going into my Junior year. So maybe I should finish first.
I feel that I could really bring something to the TellTale table when working on a project.
Oooh I know one day I'll get to work with you guys!
You all don't mind having a film guy work on your cinematics do ya?;)
Maybe you can convince them to try a live-actor game.
Hm that's an old school twist! Maybe just maybe....
But I wonder if my experience in cinematography could help set up shots in their animated games. That would be so cool.:D
Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone of you has heard if TTG is hiring testers. Because even though I can't seem to find the position on the website. I found several recent job postings for Tester position on several job websites such as indeed.com, jobfox.com and northbayhelpwanted.com
They were for a while. Don't think they still are since it's not on the site. However,I would like to ask something about it.
I'm a gamer with 30 years of gameplay experience. I've played pretty much every kind of game there is. Table top,pen and paper, collectable card games, and I've been playing video games since there were video games to play. That's right,I was there for Pong when it first came out. And I'd be hard pressed to think of any genre I haven't played something from.
But I don't know how to translate this knowledge into the business speak that'll get me hired as a game tester. The job seems easy enough, spot the bugs, comment on game play, maybe make some suggestions to improve the design. I can't count how many times a game would be improved a metric ton by simply making a few simple changes in the basic design.
So,as a game company itself,I'd like to know what Telltale Games looks for in beta testers? What do other companies you know of look for? How can I get through to the human resources people that I know more about games than they do about screwing people out of their basic human, and often time legal, rights?
Or to put it simply, how I write resume?
Also,I look like Curly and can do a very good impression. Will that help me get a job?
As mentioned Ive gone through many channels
even play tested (ate no pizza I was soooo into SB)
know many many of the crew since before telltale even was a glimmer
Still that farging felony prevents me from even looking to work at TTG
To much exp not enough proof of purchase idk
Dream a little dream or something. Im only 1 hour away from TTG doh!
I'm currently doing a MEng in Computer Science and I'm half way through my 3rd year out of 5. Unfortunately its at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, a wee bitty too far from California. Would love to apply to work with you guys (seeing as many of the members off the team helped create some of my all time favourite games) but I don't have the finances to support such a move. :P
Maybe when i finish my course when I'm 22, you'll hear from me. In the meanwhile I'll just watch you guys make your amazing games.
Thats enough procrastination for now, back to programming a 3D flight simulator in Java (joy of joys :P).
check their programming requirements (think its pearl)
not sure..
might want to beef that for your resume!
I know C as well, but one of my classes demands you do it in Java  They want Lua, Pearl, Javascript etc as well. Lua is next on my to do list for programming languages Also I'll force myself to do pearl lol we did a bit of that in first year... wasn't too bad :P
I would apply for that designer internship if I lived anywhere near San Francisco. It sounds perfect.
A lot of my creative writing is fanfiction though, and even if I could apply, it seems awkward to show fanfiction to a prospective employer. Ability to write other peoples' characters is most likely a good skill to have when designing licenced games, but... I don't know. Especially since a decent percentage is Sam & Max fanfiction.
Not trying to be an ass or anything, but the scripting language is called Perl, not Pearl. Now if you instead misspelled Python like Pony or something I wouldn't care as much.

too bad I don't live in calli
Scripting is pretty useless in Engineering unless it's matlab...

One support employee on several hundred thousand (million?) customers seems a little bit inadequate to me. So, please hire more support staff!

I have the same problem except I'm 16
To each his own(I want PNatI a bit more than the other two). Why are you so negative about TTG?

The availability of video game related uni placements are very little here in the UK.
Guess I'll have to suck it up and go try to get a normal, boring managment placement. (Doing a managment degree you see).

I stand corrected sire :P
