And I stated that I was just kidding about that.

You and me both, pal. The thought of being you is enough to make me puke.

And I was killing that joke. A little too effectively, it seems. How 'bout we let it go before it gets even more uncomfortable?

    Skyfall 7/10

It was pretty good. Except for that gay scene between Craig and Bardem. *shivers*

The only thing frightening about that scene is the fanfiction where Silver didn't stop. Because I'm sure that shit exists and is as poorly written as all such shlock.

Funny that "what make you think this is my first time" line always gets the most laughs when I saw it at the movies like 8 times.

    Son of Rambow 10/10

Gets better every time I watch it. And I usually watch the ending twice.

    The Hobbit - 9/10

It was really really good, dwarves are cool and elves are gay. :p

    The Hobbit - 8/10

The movie was beautifully done. I loved the characters. But I'm taking away points for plodding along at the beginning and for taking so long to get things going. I hope the next two will move at a bit quicker pace.

I don't think there's much chance of that happening. The source material is pretty scarce compared to LotR, so the third movie will provably be all battle of five armies. Jackson loves epic battle filler. Remember King Kong? That movie lasts at least an hour longer than its plot does.

    Kill Bill - 9.5/10

Don't have a lot to say apart from it was SO enjoyable! Why I took so long to watch it I'll never know, it just takes me forever to get round to watching films. The ending was frustrating though because I don't know when the second one is on (watched it on BBC3).

I hope it isn't too long. These two were the last movies I watched in a cinema. I remember seeing the first one and going into the next best store to get the soundtrack after. Still my favorite movie of all time.

The Watch- 6.5/10. Well, I wanted to watch some more Jonah Hill movies. This one had very obscene jokes, sometimes placed inappropriately throughout the movie. Also, the 4 main characters acted like kids in the watch group. It had aliens, which was alright.

Well, I expect the next movie to end with the death of Smaug. Not sure if the White Council's assault on Dol Guldur will be in movie 2 or movie 3.

I will also say that I'm glad that they added that one little bit to add to Thorin's dislike of elves. And also...it is so weird to see Hugo Weaving NOT looking like he's constantly frowning.

He just told half the book in three hours, and that was too long. He now has six hours left, double the time, for the other half of the book. So we may assume two hours "battle of the five armies" ... and another two "driving the necromancer out".

If the Hobbit had two hours total, it could have been quite the movie. But nooooo, not for Jackie-boy!

I think I can read the book faster than that. Oh dear.

...I suggest you look at the book again Vaina. The "halfway" point would technically be the fight against the spiders. The book is a little over 300 pages long(in the printing I own) and "Out of the Frying-Pan Into the Fire" ends at page 110. They still have Beorn, Mirkwood, the Elven halls, the barrel ride, Lake-Town, the finding of the secret door, Bilbo's riddles to Smaug, Smaug's attack on Lake-Town and subsequent death...and that's before we get the political "We don't owe you people anything since this is our mountain and the elves are jerks" stuff and then the battle and the journey home for Bilbo. And that's not counting any of the stuff in the appendices that they go with.

Sorry, I've read the book about 100 times and had almost written my master thesis on it (AND I will, by the way, receive my fifth copy tomorrow). The lack of knowledge which I must concede you are definitely correctly perceiving here is that I haven't yet seen the movie. ;)

I'll wait for a DVD release myself. Let's hope there will not be an Extended Cut again. From what I read here it might be too long already.

    MIGHT? Heh.

Last movie I saw was the A-Team movie, and it's still freaking awesome.

Only reason I'd want an extended cut is so that the song the dwarves sing isn't so truncated.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - 9/10

Saw it in 48 FPS 3D. Took a bit (quite a bit) of getting used to but it was beautiful. I for one enjoyed the slow opening which other people seem to be complaining about. The
    Gollum sequence
was easily the best part of the movie. It was wonderful.

There has only been one occasion where I saw the same movie twice in one night: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

    All right.

I’ve been writing a screenplay for a horror movie. It’s called “2233 Wilson Way.” It’s about two 10-year-old children in a small California town who look like regular kids but turn out to be brutal killers (the main title being where they live) who at first target adults (their first victims being their mother and father) but then start killing people of every age group. I’m not aiming for a cheesy slasher flick with endless amounts of blood and five minutes worth of on-screen boobies, but a full-on scary movie.

    Anyway, last movie I watched.

    The Adventures of Tintin 9.5/10

What a great movie. Seeing as how Spielberg worked out the sea battle scene, I expect “Pirate Latitudes” to be good. Peter Jackson is going to find this hard to beat when he directs the sequel.

    I knew you had taste.

The Hobbit - 0/10 because the original story had spiders in it. Screw that noise, man!

I'm pretty sure there won't be spiders in the first part. They didn't show up until Mirkwood.

Also, they were giant spiders. I thought you were cool with spiders that were bigger than a small pony.

Yes there were! But only for a brief moment. The spiders will probably be back in Hobbit 2.

Along with a kick ass dragon, for sure.

The cut is really not at the worst part, as the following Beorn scene essentially starts with Gandalf retelling the previous adventure.

    Indie Game: The Movie

I'm gonna rank this by each dev/protagonist.

Team Meat: 8/10 The real meat of the film (HARHARHARHAR) The team shown a real story of up's and downs. Team Meat's two members are vastly different people, Ed a cheery optimist and Tommy, someone who no doubts considers himself a realist. What they do have in common is that they both work super-hard and their tale is some of the best viewing I've seen for a long time. Heartfelt and compelling.

Jonathan Blow: 4/10 Watch a man tell you how nobody understands his work and put himself on a higher plateau than the rest of us who dare to breathe the same oxygen he does. Blow briefly mulls over the perception as himself as a wanker, and continues to be a wanker about it. This highly intelligent man laments that the most important aspect of his work was overlooked by nearly everybody, rather than accept this a shortcoming on his part for not conveying his important message effectively it's our fault, we should all feel super-guilty right now. Blow mostly reflects on Braid and the indie scene. His story is that of an intelligent mouthy man who lacks wisdom mouthing off unwisely. It's filler basically.

The Phillip Fish Show starring Phillip Fish: 8/10 Another insufferable goit, but Fish makes for great viewing. Fish's project "Fez" is funded by the Canadian government and has had a long protracted development cycle. At the time of recording has been through a lot recently, his girlfriend and business partner have both recently abandoned him, this is most likely because he is a complete asshole. Fish throws tantrums throughout, talks of how his hope for Fez is to find validation and respect by gamers and his peers. His project is may be odds with what others may define as an "Indie game" but it doesn't matter this is Fish's tale and it's all genuine. One particularly showing part is Fish fuming in a hotel lobby due to legal troubles with his former partner, he screams "All he has to do is do nothing and i'll make a fucking millionaire, for nothing!!" Fish's ego is both delicate and gigantic. Asshole he may be his story's an interesting one

Not to mention the always wrong thing to say after something bad just happened. "I think the worst is behind us now." *facepalm* Never say that Bilbo. Never. It never bodes well.

The Hobbit. I find it difficult to rate movies, so I'll just say that the first thing that I did when I got home from it was buy the soundtrack.
