Just saw the first two episodes of Miracle Day (it's been added to Netflix streaming, so if you do still have it, you can go watch). I'm not sure how I feel about it. It makes me want to keep watching somehow, but I'm on the fence bout really liking it or not. Anyone else's opinion?
The first half of the series made a lot of really interesting theoretical points about what would logistically happen if nobody died. Really fascinating and disturbing stuff, especially the
suicide bomber "corpse"
in the first episode. I really feel like they either ran out of cool disturbing ideas at some point, or else they felt like they had to abandon them in favor of driving the plot, because the second half really doesn't seem to explore them as much, so I feel like there was some potential that was wasted. The second half is worth watching but overall I was left with kind of an "ehhhh" feeling.
Bah! I forgot that I always go to the "most recent comic" link thing. Thanks. If you don't mind, I'll just go back and change my link so that it leads somewhere useful.
What are you guys talking about...? o.O Why is there an animation of Matt Smith falling out of the shower...? Why is... uh... ah, nevermind. I'll just drop this info here and quietly retreat to my royal chambers:
Helloooo Telltale Foruuuums!
We've reached a point where we are choosing the material for Mihai's jacket (11th doctor). If you have ANY suggestions, NOW is the time to share them. Take note that we cannot find the exact texture/design, but your advice could help us chose between a good material and an awesome one.
Moreover, I just updated the script and made it 200% cooler! How could I miss this idea?! It's SO awesome! Oh man, you'll love it!
Unfortunately, I did come across a tiny-big plothole which I'm trying to fix.
...
wait...
Oh my God! I just thought of a fantastic way to play with that idea! Wait, hang on
*writes idea down* *giggles* *comes back*
Okay, I can safely say that it's a really crazy script so far, but it may fit in the Universe just fine.
Now, this is a first and LAST shoutout (which will also be posted on my site): If any of you want to participate in the tribute, either by video contribution or music, now is the time to tell me.
We are approaching the end of Pre-Production, folks... no more changes after this! If you have a decent camera (not webcam, sorry) and you want to appear for 5-10 seconds in our most epic clip yet, send me a PM please.
What else... hm... we bought a bow tie ...and it's cool. (no pun intended)
Looking for matching suspenders.
I think the shoes (on both actors) may be different from what the doctors wear on the show, but that shouldn't be a problem (I hope).
We already announced that the filming date will be November 5th. We might choose November 12th though due to the fact that we both caught a nasty cold and we want to make sure we're fresh during the filming.
In totally exciting news, I've uncovered another massive hole in Big Finish's website which could mean stealing lots of audios. Reported it but didn't use it to my advantage at all.
Also; 100 pages. When did that happen? We should start a new thread in three posts after locking this thread at post #1989. www.instantrimshot.com

GOOD NEWS! Somebody has posted the script for "The Dark Dimension" online!
Seeing as I assumed it to be a 2-minute tiny little thing, I voted 60 minute special because I am incredibly selfish. Don't forget to include as many corny 'Doctor Who?' jokes as possible!
Even though pretty much everyone guessed that his departure would be in time for the 50th anniversary special, this is still a shock. It just seems far too soon! It seems like only yesterday he was popping up from the tardis demanding apples.
Yeah, it does feel really fast, doesn't it? It doesn't FEEL like he's been doing this anywhere near as long as he has. He had the best dress sense of all the Doctors, too.

I think the issue is that the overarching storyline has condensed the number of standalone episodes down, so he hasn't had that many unique storylines. He still feels fresh, as if he's only done one series.

To be fair, Matt Smith has sadly been campaigning to move away from the Bow Tie and Suspenders for some odd reason recently.
It might be like what David Tennant did, not coming back for Series 8 but rather for a series of specials. Add this to the fact Moffat said that 2013 will have more episodes in production then any other year since the show's return, we could have 6-7 specials with Matt Smith before the new guy shows up.

Oddly, to me it feels like he's done three series. 'cause he kinda has. 5, 6, 6½. But that's just me, I think.

To be fair, David Tennant did only three series too. We'd have just witnessed the Master's death and the Doctor refusing to give him his remaining regenerations to save him because he secretly hates him if we were at the same spot in the Tennant years.
Actually, Tennant had an extra christmas special at the front, but that doesn't really count, does it?
Also; Friar got post #1996. McGann fan to the end, I suppose.

Yeah, but the 2,000th post is mine. Hah!
And honestly, I think it's a shame we only seem to be getting three years or so out of our new Doctors. One would think they'd want to stick around longer. Where are the Tom Bakers? Oh well.
And no, Tennant's extra X-mas special doesn't count. He was barely in it, for one.

Webcam quality? Hmm... I'll think about that.
Fixed for you. :P
Rory's manliness needs to be regularly posted!
I did, but obviously it was such a great post that it bore repeating.

I really should pre-order the boxset. My mother was watching Downton Abby, which has Captain Avery and Harriet Jones. Slightly confusing.

BAD NEWS! It's a scan of the script, so isn't very easy to read, and you can't download it, just read it off the web.

The Doctor wishes he was James Bond.
Also; the good inspector was on set filming the Holiday Special today!

I suggest Alex Kingston.

These are cute.
