Questions like this leave me open to flaming...Donna Nobel.

She went on to find some kind of peace prize, right?
  • edited October 2011
Actually, I quite like Donna, and two years ago, I would have labeled her as my favorite companion, with Sarah Jane coming in second.

Now...I'm afraid first place goes to....Rory Williams. He's just that awesome.

Nah, Amy Pond is the best because she's easily the hottest.

Him punching Hitler would also have ended the thread.

Bernard Cribbins is the hottest companion.

I think they missed a big opportunity in The Wedding of River Song, they should have had Rory be
    an actual Centurion
. It would have made perfect sense in that context, or at least it'd make as much sense as anything else.

He is also one of my faves. And I wish he returned as a part of the 11th Doctor's space bucket list.

Yes, and they should have had Agatha Christie and Hitler solving crimes together while they were at it!

When someone is as hot as Amy Pond, they can't help being objectified.

Yh tell me about it. Its a cross we have to bare.

It's probably best that they left Hitler out of it. I did enjoy the cameo from Charles Dickens. Nice to see a throwback to the 9th Doctor's era.

Also, I went back and took some screencaps of the Doctor's ridiculous hair in the Sarah Jane Adventures ep. I don't really have a good point to make with them (I thought it was somehow exaggerated, but it does seem to be about the same as usual, from what I can tell), but he happens to also be making stupid faces in both of them, so I figured I'd share them here

I really don't see the harm in having Hitler, especially because they shared a production block so getting Albert Welling to go on set for 613 wouldn't be that much of a hassle.

I also would have liked to have seen Shakespeare and Queen Victoria.

You know in the Next Doctor the Tenth was a companion to the Fake Doctor. So DT could be the sexiest companion.

And you can argue the past doctors are the companion of future doctors during the Multi-Doctor stories.

    Patrick Troughton could win then.

In unrelated news, I've been invited to a very large Halloween party. I was going to dress as Caroline (Portal) again, but I don't want to wear all white when food and drinks are involved, so I thought of going as the Doctor. I already own all the clothes needed for Nine, but I'm a girl and don't want to shave my hair.

Between Ten and Eleven, which would be an easier Doctor to pull off? Both in terms f what I look like (although I have a brown wig that would work for either) and cheapness of buying a brown suit versus a tweed jacket.

Well, if it has to be between 10 and 11, then surely 10.5 would be the logical choice? http://instantrimshot.com/index.php?sound=rimshot&play=true

I was about to ask for people to help me popularize the word "crossplay" for crossdressing cosplaying, but then found out that it's totally already called that. I now has a sad.

I'd say go to a thrift store (like a GoodWill or Savers or something, I don't know what they have in your state) and see which kind of suit you find first. Either will probably be pretty cheap, so the question is just which can find in the right size and style.

Also, I think a tight ponytail is a decent substitute for short hair in the context of a halloween costume. Paired with the right props I think people (at least the ones who know the show) would recognize you as Nine.

There's a small Friend's Store near me, but no Goodwill or Savers. There's apparently a consignment shop that sells only used men's suits the next town over (very rich area), but I'd feel a bit odd walking into it on my own.

Plus, if I'm going the Ten route and getting a suit, I might as well make it one I'd use regularly. I have a pinstripe suit already, but it's black and white, and is the wrong cut.

We actually don't get a good look at her death at all. The scene gives us a nice look at her hands and arms being set ablaze, but he full-body "on fire" thing happens from a great distance and from behind a quickly spinning fan blade.

That makes me feel slightly better about not spending a half hour trying to get a good image. Or, you know, any image at all.

I got my 11th doctor suit from a charity shop (scope I think). Although at the time it was an Albert Einstein costume. Our entire physics class was given scientists to dress up as, and only I bothered. safdace.

Favourite companion? Kroton. What's not to love about a ninja cyberman?

    Or Possibly (the)Doctor River song.

As for the DT hair thing: SWP actually looks surprisingly similar to Series 3 Doctor, who had shorter hair.

Captain Jack & Sarah-Jane Smith. The only ones so good they got a proper spin-off.
  • edited October 2011
I've not read the comics, but I'll just say Kroton, in being exactly the same name as The Krotons, cannot be taken seriously given how similar his name is to 'Crouton'.

Also, Sarah Jane got two spinoffs, Darth. Lest we forget the greatest opening sequence in the history of mankind.

It seems the Germans want doctor who again.

It'll be starting on the 21st of december, every wednesday on Fox. I think it'll be two episodes at a time, although I'm not sure, as my German isn't what it used to be.

" "Doctor Who" bekommt wieder eine Heimat im deutschen Fernsehen. Ab 21. Dezember immer mittwochs, an unserem Mysteryabend um 20.15 Uhr im Doppelpack."
