This is crazy! When I checked this forum yesterday, there were 20 pages of posts. I check this morning and there are now 31 pages of posts! Are people staying up all night to post to this forum???

When you go to bed there are people in other parts of the world just waking up to begin their forum-browsing day ;)

I know this is kinda off topic , but Iwas just in a Thai restaurant and Jurassic Park came on..Sadly they changed it to football . I've only watched it twice since I found out about the game.

Mark my words: no matter how you try to justify telltale taking all JP media off their main page, it simply does not equate to anything good. When Alan has "information" next week you will see what I mean. Trust me on this one.
Only if you build me a theme park with genetic attractions...

Ah the irony of it. Sports always wins over dinosaurs. How sad

Hello, it's getting released in april 30th, stfu now.

I think Friday 29th is a good bet. It gives 'em the rest of the working week to finish up, and then release on schedule.

I understand TP3D's concern as he doesn't appear to be very familiar with Telltale's usual release process. However, they rarely (if ever) miss a release month.
My personal thoughts about Hector taking over the home page is that they started the pre-orders for that game very close to its release and want to give it a big push.
    Duke Nukem Forever this isn't!

I admit the way Telltale releases its games is unfamiliar to me as well, with JP being the first game I've ever bought from them. But I wouldn't have it any other way if it means us getting the game in the end. And as weird as it may sound, I actually take the lack of news from the staff as a good sign, because it means they're hard at work getting the game ready for release

The anticipation is dreadful to deal with.

I've already had several Jurassic Park marathons and I've been to the arcade to play the Jurassic Park arcade game so many times, people are starting to wonder. I'm more than prepared for the release.

I can only hope that Telltale will relieve the suspense and release the darn game on Monday.

Really? The Telltale team must be really dedicated to their job to be working on a Saturday.

The offices close on the weekend so the latest the release can be is the 29th.

I think that Deviltry11 might be getting tired of people creating thread after thread (which all end up merged with this one) asking for a release date and decided to set his own release date.
Telltale is not in the habit of missing a release month, so, as long as you expect the episode to be released on the last day of the month, you will (should) not be disappointed... even if that day happens to fall on a weekend! ;)

Yes, I am not famaliar with telltales release process, but I am very familiar with effective marketing. I don't mind at all if its delayed, I just think its very naive to think them taking all the jp stuff on the main page can mean something good. I'd love to be proven wrong though. I'm just looking at this logically, it hopefully I'm way off. Again, I could care less if its delayed, I just want the game to be perfect :)

err it's Easter time. It won't get released until Tuesday at the earliest.

I dont want it to be delayed either but if they found some bugs that needed work on then I'd rather have a delayed game than a buggy one. I'm sure we will know something on Monday

yes the lack of news is normal. Telltale don't like to give release dates until they are sure they can make it. This avoids all the disappointment, if it has to be delayed.

Yep, I think this proves we won't be seeing the game for a while...Mid-May, at this point? June?

As Hammond would say in the novel, "Oh, Balls"!!!!

It doesnt prove a damn thing. TP3D isnt even on the Telltale team. How would he know about Telltale's coportate policies? For god sakes settle down. There are still 6 days left in April so just sit down before you fall down.

Agreed. Until they come out and actually say in big bold print 'JURASSIC PARK HAS BEEN DELAYED', it doesn't mean a damned thing. They'll tell us if there is a delay or not. Just keep your head and hold on to your butt. Things are gonna be fine.

Me settle down? You're the one who's agitated, buddy.

I think it's pretty obvious by now if we have no release date, no pre-release hype, no communication in the insider forum, and the game has been removed from the front page, it's a sign not everything is exactly "kosher" with the game. It could still come out in April, but they're apparently having problems...
  • edited April 2011
I'm not agitated. I'm just sick and tired of all the negativity I'm seeing thats sprouting up everywhere. everywhere I go to look up info on this game theres nothing but people who have nothing but bad things to say about it. either its going to be delayed, or you cant shoot dinosaurs, or its not like crysis 2, or theres too much secrecy....blah blah blah. I just cant believe you people are so sapped of your enthusiasm even though the game isnt even out yet. Enough is enough. You keep this up and telltale will make it a point to never listen to their fans again.

Maybe you're just overreacting to nothing, honestly just be patient. It's the weekend, they ain't working. In the next 7 days you will hear something, good or bad. I personally don't believe in the bad since my own analysis of the situation leans otherwise.

For now time out some JP stuff to do/watch, play a game, watch the movies, play with your toys. Whatever you do, just hang in there.

Every game has it's critics, especially vocal critics. It's all about the loyal fan base and their reactions and discussions of the game that matters. Haters gonna' hate, but Telltale is here to make the game appealing to the guys that love it and only those guys.

Agreed. Until we have hard evidence to support the speculation, it's simply that and nothing more. We'll know all we need to know soon enough, and there's plenty to do in the time that remains. Just a matter of being patient and learning to ignore the doubters.
  • edited April 2011
I think that the people who are worried that the game will be pushed back are some of it's biggest fans and that's WHY they care enough to express their opinions. So I wouldn't be so quick to deride them. Their worries are legitimate and only exist because they're fans.

EDIT: The "it's" is autocorrect's fault! Again! But it comes in handy so often too...

Very true, but it's a matter of being patient as well. I want this game out as much as the next fan, but I'd rather have a polished copy instead of a bug infested travesty. Even if it takes longer than this week, I'd be more satisfied with a finished product that lives up to it's source material.

Yeah, now I'm a "doubter" for agreeing with an obvious remark. Yep, that makes sense. Thanks.

If I'm overreacting, I take it none of you people have pre-ordered and seen the screeching hysterics in the Insider forum.

The majority of us have preordered. We've seen the mass hysteria that's in there. However people are still entitled to their opinions. The best thing to do is to let it go and move on. People aren't going to stop worrying about this game even after Episode 1 comes out. It's best to just let it be.

Right, which is why I was entitled to state I think the game will be delayed.

BTW, I posted this in the Insider forum a few days ago:

Guys, let's just relax. I know we're all hungry for new JP content, but it'll be out when it's out.

Really, with the amount of waiting we've had to do with this franchise, (IE, JP4), will another week really make that much for a difference? At least we know we're actually getting something this time!! :p

And then, subsequently stated disappointment that the thing appears to have disappeared. Reacting, not over-reacting...big difference. But whatever.
    Where would that be specifically?

Try the thread with the screeching hysterics? There are only six of them in the forum.
  • edited April 2011
We shall see tomorrow. Then we will know if it's delayed, or not.

Have you pre ordered the game? If so, you should have access to the Insider Forum. If you haven't accessed the Insider Forum and you have pre ordered, then you might wanna go to the Site Help forum and post in the Jurassic Park thread there to gain access to it.

You're entitled to that opinion, although without clear evidence that states a delay, it's just speculation. The team at Telltale wouldn't just take down the videos and such without a reason or explanation. We should know by tomorrow at the earliest whether there is a delay or not.

Yes...YOU "hit the breaking point" and I need to chill out.
