I would like Puzzle Agent if there were no gnomes. But other than that, I have a demo of it and its pretty cool. It kind of reminds me of a game called Spy Fox. (From way back in 2002 - 2005. I think I might still have them. Its from the same company that made a game called Putt Putt saves the circus And other Putt Putt games. I think its Putt Putt. Its a car, not minature golf.) Telltale never releases on Fridays. There has only been one Friday release in their whole existence.
And I bet they had WED for Hector. THU for BTTF and FRI for JP, before the cancellation.
Mathman & I are discussing doing a FAN continuation. So, obviously we wouldn't be charging money for that but it would be an absolute labour of love! Anyone interested, please PM me with your contact details & how you think you could contribute (3D modelling/animation, voices, whatever). We would do it as an episodic game series, most likely. Obviously, we'd check into permissions but so long as there wasn't money entering our pockets, I can't see it being TOO much of a problem.
If we can't do it, then I have another time travel concept that I can do games with instead. Quite different and while it will still have the broad appeal and accessibility of Back to the Future, it will explore the possibilities and pitfalls of time travel more.
But those who are saying BTTF being continued is unlikely due to using a different term... series and season are pretty interchangable. And they just might not have the permission to announce the next one yet.
I think they've done a PRETTY good job capturing the spirit of the originals & we all know they learn from season to season... so I think next time around the puzzles will be more complex and inventive & same goes for the environments. That said, we still have two episodes left so who knows what stops they'll pull out?

Actually, if a series makes it to its finale without finding whether or not it's renewed, that's a very bad situation. It'd have to be a bubble show, so execs watching finale ratings to determine a renewal or not would be very bad for the show and likely lead to cancellation.
But it's quite different for games. Most game sequels are determined by post release sales and interest. The longer people buy copies of BttF, the more likely a sequel would be.

Hi kempy, there's no release date for episode 5 yet. If you subscribe to the email newsletter you'll be updated when ep 5 comes out.
They only open shop (the offices) in about 3 hours.
Then it takes time to upload the ep onto the sertvers.
It's only 6:03am, Thursday, 28 April 2011 at TTG.
Episode 4 won't be coming today folks. Spare the F5 keys today.
This means one of three things.
1. It's coming out tomorrow.
2. You're going to break your usual rule of not releasing games on weekends and have it on the 30th. (My birthday! )
