Alan Wake 2 - I am extremely shocked and upset about this. Crap no one wants - Ding ding ding! Peter Monyleux and his "innovation" - Was there any doubt?

"Oh hey guys sorry about the PSN." Of course. Sexy Uncharted 3 stuff - And how! Kevin Butler says a funny - HE WASN'T EVEN ON STAGE?! Sony takes non-subtle jabs at Nintendo - Oh. Wow. The PSN downtime really humbled Sony. NGP stuff - A fantastic Vita Presentation.
E3 seems pretty lacklustre so far.
Sure the PSVita seems interesting
Only one thing I want to know about it, and that is: will the PS1 classics for the PSP+PS3 going to be compatible with it as well, because if so, the prospect of playing Final Fantasy IX on the go is excellent.
(And before anyone asks. My PSP is in a bad condition, it really is. Some idiot (older brother) dropped it in the toilet and though miraculously it survived, it does not function properly at all now. The UMD drive is broken, the keys are unresponsive and worn, and the screen has a horrid aura (caused by water damage). The battery died too.)
It seems affordable (but barely like the 3DS was. Its probably going to be like £250 here...), but I hope the games are even moreso.
A reason why I stuck to the DS (and the 3DS to an extent), is that the games tend to get to a nice cheap price after a few months.
Well since I know there's at least one other person looking forward to seeing something about Colonial Marines:
IGN isn't covering SEGA except for 20min on the new Sonic(the day after the planned birthday celebration....I don't know whats going on there and apparently IGN doesn't care).
Gamespot just has their wandering crew with nothing time slotted in.
Gametrailers either isnt covering anything past day 2...or they just don't plan ahead.
Disappointing. The only thing I could find is that the website, Gamingtruth, will cover it...but not streamed.

Yeah, because no one buys Halo or Fable games! I was hoping for Alan Wake news too, though. You do know that a sorta-sequel is in the works though, right? Although it's not being developed as Alan Wake 2, per se, but as an XBLA title.

I was more referring to the Kinect stuff as the crap no one wants. I'm sure Ill eventually pick up Halo 4 if it's good, and I have no problem with Fable- just Peter Molyneux.
I am aware of the XBLA title, but I was hoping we'd at least get to see some of it.
The PS3 and 3D stuff bored me to tears, as did a lot of the actual software for the Vita.
But they seem to have hit the price point they needed. Not too far out, but $20 more than the competition to give it that "premium handheld for Grown-Ups" impression.
I'm really impressed by the Vita's hardware all-around. it seemed though that any games I'd be interested in were shoved into three second teasers at the end of the presentation, leaving me badly wanting to see more coverage of games that AREN'T major PS3 franchises because I honestly couldn't bring myself to care less about Uncharted or various shooters.
I love the thing as a device. The PS Vita as a MACHINE impresses me greatly and I really want one. As a device with a library of software that I intend to use, PS Vita has yet to really pull out the stops for me.
Each year I watch the Nintendo conference hoping for something new. Instead I get the same old nintendo franchises I lost interest in years ago. Sigh. Will this year be different?
Oh well, I just want Last Story to be brought over, show me that Nintendo and I'll be somewhat happy.
Okay, the 3rd party support does look pretty sweet.
BTW, Nintendo is saying that the Wii U's controller allows you to not only have a small screen interface with which to interact with the game, but also the Wii U controller supports a latency-free, wireless screen for playing a full blown game on a handheld device (so long as it's within wifi range of your console,) so you can play Wii U games while someone else uses the TV.

5/8 so far. Not bad, I guess.
Well, if the Nintendo conference had those it'd certainly be quite interesting.

Overall thoughts?
It's $249 for the Wifi only model, or $300 for the Wifi + 3G model.
Yes, I know. I meant was it higher than expected, lower than expected, or something else surprising. :P

Sony.
Lower than expected; people were expecting around 300-350 for Wifi only.
Edit: In addition, it basically competes with 3DS by having the same price with vastly higher production quality.

Since half the world started playing games on it?
Looking forward to this nonetheless.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!
I noticed somersaulting, the ability to call in an air strike, and near seamless transitioning from gameplay to cutscene and back.
edit: Also, the ability to physically grab enemies over cover to pull them over it and stab them, instead of merely using cover to hide behind.
Oh well, I just want Last Story to be brought over, show me that Nintendo and I'll be somewhat happy.
Bullhonky
Edit: You'd think the President of Nintendo would pronounce Pokemon correctly.
Poke-a-mon.
The new controller looks intuitive but rather bulky. Color me skeptical.

...what? There were only 2 remakes there.
edit: OH SHIT SMASH FOR BOTH CONSOLES
Okay, okay. I just started paying attention to this thread.
