Yes, we updated both the Mac and PC builds.

p.s. just make sure you uninstall the old build before installing the new one. You can choose to keep your save games. They "should" still work with the new build.

Steam support also? Haven't seen it update. Would a reinstall help there as well?

PS thanks for the quick response to this! :) :)

OK. Just tested it and it works. I played it identically to how I did the first time and sure enough I could click things and continue. Also I didn't experience the walking down through the floor glitch either. Very nice work on fixing that.

Yeah that happened to me too at the glass house when I entered AFTER doing the plant part. I restarted the game and skipped all dialogues so it didn't take me more than a few minutes to get back on track, but it was pretty annoying.

It's ok though, bugs are unavoidable and understandable. I'm really enjoying the game so far and listening to uh... someone's...voice is such a wonderful BTTF experience. I love the series and adventure games, so this combination is just awesome.

I kind of wish they had tougher, more intricate puzzles though, like adventure games were in the 90s. Now I usually finish these episodes in one sitting... oh well, times change.

Yea. Nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen. It's how you react when you make one that shows what you are really made of. I tip my hat to the Telltale guys and gals because they never tried to make us feel stupid. They communicated with us and asked for help to figure it out. They never tried to say nothing was wrong. They got to work and got it fixed even though that meant staying late. A lot of developers could learn a huge lesson from them.

I agree, I just wish I bought it here and not on Steam so I didn't have to restart the game. I'm a little hesitant to use the provided save files (thanks, though)and I see that updated build post is only a couple hours old so I bet they really want to go home!

Thanks everyone for testing the new version and for letting us know that it worked. We are currently working on updating the Steam builds as well. We will be working with Value to get those versions (Mac & PC) updated as soon as possible.

    Thanks for your understanding.

I hope this is a race condition, but
after watching Emmett be drugged in the Glass house I walked around and suddenly started floating up onto the second floor. Now I'm trapped on the second floor because the yellow wall's handle is on the other side!
    PC Version. Hooray for Auto-save!

Also, the textures on a bunch of the science fair stuff has gone wonky after
    turning Edna in
. Flickering yellow blotches. The legs of the easel with the next talk and Doc's Science experiment. I've played all the episodes on this PC and haven't seen this problem before.

Please fix this for other awesome players!

ooh! I'll check the latest build in case this has been fixed.

I find a playthrough on youtube, hope this extra helps for some. ;)

You'll need to download the episode again. The fixed version is already available on this site. Remember to uninstall the existing one before installing the new one (you'll get the option to keep your saved games).

I got this bug twice, the first time I didn't save and had to restart. The second time, I saved when I first entered the expo hall, went to Emmet's booth, talked to Trixie, tried to enter the glass house, talked to Jauqes Goustoe (or w/e his name is), then saw Doc in the glass house before entering and getting stuck. I reloaded from the beginning, and did everything the same, except I didn't enter the house until I saw Doc, and it worked. So I think maybe the bug is caused by trying to enter the house early.

PirateGamer, You most likely need to update your graphic card drivers or Direct-X drivers. We saw that yellow blotches problem on a few people's machine and we were able to solve it by updating both the Direct-X drivers and graphic card drivers.

Attached is a save where the phone booth puzzle has been completed, but the recording not yet given to Officer Parker. You just need to walk over to the glass house from this point, once you are inside the hotspots will appear ok.

Hope this helps people who might otherwise have to replay a bunch of stuff.

If I was not already married I would propose.

Very dissapointing to see that the glass house is bugged like this, I hope the savegame provided earlier in this thread will fix it for me.

Same problem. After the Hit the Pipe problem in the first episode I thought I would have no more game breaking bugs.

cant believe this got missed.... very disappointed...

happy it was fixed quick, but still annoying....

If you're still running into this problem, you need to re-download the game from your My Telltale page. The version that's up now includes fixes for the glass house bugs.

If you bought the game on Steam, please be patient for a bit longer--we're testing those versions right now to make sure they're working OK. Assuming we don't find anything wrong with them, Steam will have the patched versions of the game available in just a few hours.

I re-downloaded the game and the bug in the glass house with the handles seems to be gone (I deliberately entered the house first without speaking to the diver). However there still is a bug when trying to leave the glass house in the back, sometimes Marty goes up invisible stairs and gets stuck.

Also the bug with calling the phone booth after Edna is taken away still exists (the booth is empty, yet you hear Edna talk).

Later in the game there's a bug with the cactus, a hat just appears on it, but the game 'thinks' it's not on so you have to remove it and put it back on the cactus.

In short, this game is (still) buggy as hell.

I'm stuck in this bug, too. The only dialog I skipped was my conversation during a glitch:
when after Edna ran off, I was still able to have a conversation with 'invisible Edna' while calling 'her' from the House of the Future's telephone, as seen in the link below.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/DingleDootie/InvisiEdna.jpg

After that, I went inside the House of Glass, and, yeah. I'm stuck. I hope my information has been useful, TT Team!

I want to point this out too. Not sure if it has any adverse effects will happen as a direct result from this bug (still have to play through the game again to get back to the glass house part) but it's something to be aware of.

Hello. I purchased my version from Direct to Drive. When will the fixed version be available for download from D2D? Thanks.

For the love of god, really should put the files to a place where people can actually get them from without registering to the forums.

    There, that wasn't so hard.

Same here. I just created a Telltale account, wishfully thinking I could somehow link the D2D purchase to the account with the keycode, or something, and then download the update. No such luck, apparently...

(Still, I'd like to thank TT for reacting so quickly. Recently, an irritating but apparently trivial-to-fix bug was found in a certain big budget action shooter, and I don't think the developer even commented it in any way, even though forums were full of angry gamers. They just released a patch several weeks later, and that's it.)

Will it fix the problem if you've already autosaved inside the glass house? I don't want to have to sit through the whole unskippable intro again!

    Lame Telltale, really lame.

Alright to answer my own question. Yes, it does. But I had to leave the glass house and come back in again before it worked properly.

I didn't have any more problems after that aside for a [minor and non game ending] weird graphical glitch with Edna's hat.

Overall, too short as always. Four hours even with reinstalling it half way through?

Marty walked up invisible stairs in the Glass House and now he is stuck up there. Had no problems up to that point. I hope a fix comes out soon.

SAME glitch permanent stuck in the glass house....
That's what said!!! They delayed the coming of the 5th episode and this is what we get??? What is this anyway??? I cannot believe that Telltale is buggy !!! OMG....for the love of Jupiter how are bugs even appearing when technology has reached such a state ??? Maybe there are some NOT professionals doing some lazy work...
Anyway a month late surely does NOT justify such problems....
    Come on.........

A bug in the glasshouse? Interesting...
I didn't talk to the diver before going there. I saw a scene, where Marty watched Doc with Emmet in the glasshouse talking, then entered the glasshouse myself.
That's interesting. Because I didn't get that scene with Emmet and Doc talking, unless I asked the Diver about them first.

I have found a solution for mac users who bought the game by Telltale:

Remove the "BackToTheFuture105" to the Trash Bin.

Redownload it from "My Telltale" and Install it (move it to the app folder).

Start the game (your save files will still be there) and load the save where you're in the glasshouse.

This worked for me, i hope this helped :)

Will you people take your arguments and complaints elsewhere so those of us with actual support needs don't have to sift through pages upon pages of it?

I'm in the same boat as some other people: I don't know where the save game goes and looking through the folders doesn't seem to indicate it. I haven't seen anyone get an answer.

My saved games are stored in C:\Users\my_username\Documents\Telltale Games\Episode 5, where my_username is my actual username.

If yours aren't in the same location, try searching your drive for prefs.prop. Saved games should be in the same location as that file (just make sure you're in the folder for episode 5, rather than an earlier one).
