To elaborate on Johro's post, Humble Bundle has been having a spring sale that extends beyond more than just Telltale's games for the past s… moreeveral days. It's comparable in scale to a major Steam sale. As is the case with normal Humble Bundles, I believe most-if-not-all purchases include a Steam key you can use as well.
GOG.com is currently running their Summer Sale.
If you like your games DRM-free, there's a lot of stuff worth checking out.
Sadly, for myself, a lot of the games I've been keeping an eye out for are just 10-20% off.
There seems to be a bigger focus on newer releases.
Day 1 is almost over. It was not forgotten. There just haven't been any deals to write home about yet. A lot of the new sales are 20-40% off. Most of the notable games at the 75% mark have been there before and will be again. For those whom are not Steam vets, games that have been out for more than 6 months, usually have a two tier sale(with a few exceptions, like GTA5. I doubt that's going any lower than it is). If it's been out quite a while and it's only on a 20% sale, might want to give it a couple days and see where it goes.
I don't consider myself a gamer but Steam Sales always have my attention. Finally decided to buy TFTB. I'm not familiar with Borderlands but people say it's a good game so I'll give it a try.
I'm going on a vacation tomorrow evening and my money is over now but if I'll manage to get some more then maybe I'll be able to buy Valiant Hearts and pre-order Civilization VI. Never played Civilization before though.

Oh baby, linear discussion. Telltale, you're such a tease.
Anyway, I'm trying to meet these people halfway here.
Speaking of Humble Bundle, if anyone doesn't own Saints Row 2 or 3, there's a great bundle running for you.
Hey, Mafia II is once again available on Steam!
80% off too.

So it's Steam Summer Sale time again.

Have fun.
With a bunch of Sierra classics being released on Steam, Humble Bundle joined the fray.
BUY IT!!!
Police Quest III is one of my favourite games of all time.
As was mentioned in the WOYM thread, Humble Bundle is having an End of Summer Sale.
A lot of the deals are pretty pedestrian, but they are applying a few of the 40-50% offs to new releases. Check 'em out.
Most games are redeemed on Steam.
