Ah, but is it worth the price of coffee when Alpha Protocol and Space Channel 5 are ALSO the price of coffee? What do you do with your coffee dollars THEN?
Well Twister was never a 50$ game. You cannot compare that. And even then unless they patched out the horrible bugs out of Alpha Protocol then yes: Nancy Drew is the game to buy here.
Kinda glad I didn't pay full price for the Dreamcast Collection. Config doesn't seem to work, meaning you have to do edit the config file manually using notepad and even then, it doesn't support any higher than 720p res.
Today's Daily Deal is GUN, a third person shooter set in the Wild West. Kinda similar to Red Dead Redemption actually, only not quite as epic (still great though). £2.50 / $5, and I highly recommend it.
It's a fantastic game. I will probably actually shell out and pay full price for the second one, simply because it was an extremely enjoyable experience all around.
Oh and today Sanctum released 6 DLC packs(each contain 1 thing so you dont have to pay for what you want I guess... or to raise the prices, oh and ones free and automatic, which contained a new gun and map so thats cool) and they are on sale today as well, might get the new items DLC, dont need maps right now since Im doing fine with the ones I have.
Today's Daily Deal is Driver: Parallel Lines. I seem to recall this getting panned (it's got a Metacritic score of 61, so maybe not), but at this price, it may still be worth a look. £2.04 / $3.40
Also, this week's Midweek Madness is up. It's Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale. 50% off at £4.99 / $7.49. This is a hack & slash RPG with a Metacritic score of 49. Make of that what you will.
Finally, the SEGA Sale is now over. Hope you got your bargains!
I'd imagine your outgoings were greater than your incomings.
Today's Daily Deal is Rifts, the MMORPG. £5 / $7.50, not including monthly fees.
There's also the deluxe edition, which includes three in-game items (an Ancient Tartagon Mount, a Bogling Wastrel pet and a Collector's Satchel that ups your backpack to 24 slots) for £6.25 / $10.

There's no game to my knowledge called "Rifts", but Rift however is on special.
I've played Rift on beta only, it's a nice MMO with good PvP playability. The PvE aspect didn't impress me much but character development is extremely in-depth. Each of the 4 core classes have 8 talent trees that you can set up in a variety of different ways.
It's not a bad game, but I'm personally not willing to pay a monthly fee to play it.
I believe it's a mix between a shmup and a Sim-City-in-Space type of game, though I couldn't say for sure. The Steam page is amazingly bereft of information on how the game actually plays.
Also, the Weekend Deals are up now. One's Bloodbowl: Legendary Edition, which is £6 / $8.
The other is Dungeon Siege III. Couple of different versions of this, so I'll make a list:
Dungeon Siege III: £14.99 / $24.99 Dungeon Siege III Deluxe: (Single-player versions of DS1 & 2 included with DS3): £17.49 / $27.49 Dungeon Siege III Strategy Guide: £6.49 / $9.99 Dungeon Siege III together with Strategy Guide: £18.99 / $29.49
...if you're going to get this at all, I highly suggest the Deluxe edition. It's a fraction more and you get two fairly good games, which aren't available on Steam otherwise, for an extra £1 / $1 each. Pretty good, methinks.
Forgot to mention the other Weekend Deal (yeah, another one). PAM: Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem is having a free weekend, and the game itself is £2.99 / $4.99.
Out of interest, how many people actually read this thread? If it's just the one or two, then I'm probably going to stop bothering to update it. I'm not saying everyone has to say something every time I post the Daily Deal, but it'd be nice to know who reads it.
Post and let me know if you actually check this thing out.
I read it rather frequently. I just don't often have much to add.
Also, it's interesting to see the difference in price points for games sold under different currency than the dollar. I had no idea they were that much more expensive at times.

The inactivity could be explained by daily deals sucking most of the time. I still check it, in case someone actually played the game and wants to share their opinion.
Don't feel like you should stop posting these! I just don't have much to say unless it's a game that piques my interest, or one I've played and can recommend. If nothing else it gets games on my radar that I might not otherwise hear about.
Today's Daily Deal is... wait, Transformers: War for Cybertron? Wow. I guessed it hadn't sold fantastically, but 75% off? Yeesh. Anyway, it's £5 / $7.50.
Hey, I'm still here. Surprised I hadn't melted or something. (It's, like, super hot in England right now)
Today's Daily Deal is Avalon: The Black Fortress, an indie RPG that you really need to look at, because I can't describe it. An isometric tile-based RPG-like game? I dunno.
The United Kingdom is presently hotter than Bermuda, Hawaii, and all points west. Unfortunately, the continuation of "late summer" justifies the fact that I don't think my BTTF disc has been posted yet, dag nabbit.
I read this thread pretty much everyday as well. Like others, the reason why I don't post anything is that the games seldom interest me or I already own them. I appreciate the effort put into this thread though.
According to Google, it's currently 13 degrees Fahrenheit(9 degrees Celsius) hotter in London than it is in Atlanta.
Warm for an English autumn, yes. But growing up with Australian summers, it makes me laugh when the papers are branding 27°C (80°F) a "heatwave". Our northern cousins are such sweet little flowers.
Oh, you want games? I'll give you games. Some of the more notable non Daily/Weekend Deal offers on Steam include:
The Witcher II: Digital Premium Edition - £20.99 / $29.99 Sniper: Ghost Warrior - £17.99 / $17.99 (wait, what?) Dead Island - £29.99 (not on offer in the US) Making History II: The War of the World - £9.99 / $14.99
...also, I don't do well in hot weather. At all. Normal summer weather is bad enough, so today made me wish I was dead so I could go cool off in hell.

Oh, and congrats on turning 21 (hundred)!
Today's Daily Deal is Trine. No explanation necessary! £4.25 / $5

Dungeons and Dragons is most certainly NOT Hack & Slash. But this game is really weak.
I bought the Total War Mega Pack. It was only $17, and Empire:Total War (for one) has a metacritic score of 90.
If you figure out how to play those games, tell me. I single-handedly bankrupted the entire Roman Empire and I don't even know how I did it.

It's actually pretty good. It's Dark of the Moon that's the horrible one.

Anyway. £2.99 / $4.99.
It's really not all that warm. "Super hot" for the English is when they can go outside without a jacket.
The United Kingdom is presently hotter than Bermuda, Hawaii, and all points west. Unfortunately, the continuation of "late summer" justifies the fact that I don't think my BTTF disc has been posted yet, dag nabbit.
(And now back to the scheduled topic)
Yep, I rented the PS3 version of War For Cybertron and quite enjoyed it.

and it's still gorgeous.
