Yeah. Anyone know the exact change-list for the update? All I get are general descriptions of 'achievements and made Meat Circus easier'. An actual change-log would be appreciated, as would more details of the Meat Circus changes.
  • edited October 2011
well I just started replaying. I wonder how they changed the Meat Circus too.

Today's Daily Deal is Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum. That's the original game and both its add-ons Splashed! and Wild! for £6.80 / $10.20.

I've noticed you don't lose any lives for falling off the rails or in the deep water. I'm not sure how that was or if anything else has changed.

I loved that game whenI was littler. I might get it for the nostalgia.

Yuck. Horribly inferior to the first two.

What I really care about is: Did they change the screaming kid because that was the only thing that annoyed me in that level.

Hooray. Time to build more rollercoasters of doooooom!

Cool deal. Except you can get a disc version from amazon for £5.
  • edited October 2011

Today's Daily Deal is Runaway II: Dream of the Turtle. Some people like this series, I do not. Not much more to say, really, other than £2.72 / $3.40.

Oh, and if you're wondering: Psychonauts was great, until I started getting random slowdown in places. Also, I have this glitch. It's every bit as annoying as you'd imagine. Finally, if you want the achievements for reaching Level 20 and 40, make sure you don't skip past the relevant level by levelling up with multiple Psy-Cores or the achievement won't pop. It's not the most fantastic of updates, to be honest.

I have that same glitch! Weird stuff. I used to have major lag on a couple of late levels, but I don't now. I got a new pc since then though so I don't think it was the patch...

    Nope, that's still in there.

From what I can tell, it's to do with the different shaders they use in the patched version.

On the plus side, my lag appears to have been a one-off thing, so now I just have to endure the figment hunt in Mila's Race. Woo.

Tell me about it. Right now I am missing 3 figments 2 in the last part (I know where one of them is at least) and one in the race and I have no clue where it could be. I could spend hours searching for it and still don't find it.

Much as I hate using it, this is invaluable during Mila's race.

Today's Daily Deal is the original Crysis. 'nuff said. £2.49 / $7.49 (I think the UK gets the better deal there!)

Also, this week's Midweek Madness is Portal II, in honour of its new 'Peer Review' DLC. It's now finally at a price I'm willing to pay for it: £9.99 / $14.99.
  • edited October 2011
Oh hey, it's finally at a price lower than the $25 I paid for it a couple weeks after launch.

    Yes! Finally!

    Today's Daily Deal is Arcadia, a top-down shooter. £1.36 / $1.70

And does anyone know how to get the 'Mmm... Bacon' achievement in Psychonauts? I must've used the damn thing 50 times, and it still hasn't popped.
  • edited October 2011
I got it, but I still wouldn't know. It eventually worked. Maybe you need to use it in a lot of different settings (I kept using it about once in every level and once in every boss fight until I got the achievement).
  • edited October 2011
Well I'm gonna have to play it again anyway to get the Made Man achievement, so I'll try that. Cheers.
  • edited October 2011
Just use it in the camp. I got it after 3 uses there. Try asking the same stuff every time. The made man achievement isn't too bad. I only missed one of the scenes and only needed to see that one. It was the one at the parking lot right after you see the monster and before you get the fake Psyblast badge.
  • edited October 2011
Thanks. I'll 100% the game, then go back and get those missing achievements.

EDIT: Got it, thanks. Just need to replay to get the Made Man one. Annoying how I missed that.

Today's Daily Deal is (wait for it) Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - The Director's Cut. Y'know, the game that Good Old Games gave away for free a couple weeks back? Yeah. On Steam it's £2.49 / $2.49.

Yep, not only do most people here already have it (probably for free), but they couldn't even be arsed to properly convert the price. Wonderful.
  • edited October 2011
also: the triple pack is on sale for 4,99 in any currency.
  • edited October 2011
Wow you cant beat a deal like todays daily deal.

Oh wait. GoG did so last week by giving away the exact same game away for free.

The weekend deal is Fable III. 66% off, $16.99, £10.19, or €13.59. All DLC also for the game has the same cut in price.
  • edited October 2011
You mean Fable 3, not 2. The second one never came to the PC.

Today's Daily Deal is Cogs, a puzzle game that's basically a 3D version of those sliding tile puzzles I despise.
    £2.38 / $3.40
  • edited October 2011
Today's Daily Deal is Universe Sandbox, which is exactly what it says on the tin. £3.49 / $4.99
  • edited October 2011
Why have you all deserted me? Waa! :p

Today's Daily Deal is Space Siege, which is essentially Dungeon Siege... in space! £2.50 / $3.75
  • edited October 2011
I own Space Siege. It sucks.
And I've never abandoned you, it's just that all the deals on Steam have been so terrible lately. Nothing but Indie games and second-rate games.
  • edited October 2011
I like indie games but yeah. The last few were horrible.

    I know, I'm just teasing.

Is Space Siege really that bad? Ugh. Wish I hadn't bought it now.

Well try it out before you judge, we all have our own opinions. :)

Yes, but only my opinions are right! MUAHAHAHAHA!!
  • edited October 2011
I think you'll find your opinions are irrelevant. I will conquer you all, and you shall think what I want you to think, nothing else.

Today's Daily Deal is Ancients of Ooga. A platformer similar to Cloning Clyde, which is no surprise as it's made by the same guys. £2.99 / $4.99

And guess what? it's THQ week! Woo! A new offer every day, and the entire collection is 33% off. Today's offer is Metro 2033, that FPS that no-one bought. £3.74 (?) / $5

(Predictions for other THQ games that will go on sale: Company of Heroes trilogy, Darksiders, Red Faction: Guerilla, Titan Quest series)

    Also, I'm 1337. Apparently.
  • edited October 2011
Well, if no-one wanted to celebrate me being 1337, then how about the 200th post in this thread? 'cause my last post was that as well. Double-whammy! And not one post to say congrats? Bah!

    Today's Daily Deal is Jagged Alliance 2 Gold. £4.76 / $6.80

Today's THQ Temptation is, as predicted, Titan Quest & Immortal Throne. £2.50 / $3.74 each, or both for... £2.50 / $5. I think the UK gets the better deal there!

Finally, this week's Midweek Madness is... Duke Nukem Forever? Already? Bloody hell, I know it's not amazing but... £7.49 / $9.99? Jesus!

(Actually, it's in celebration of the new DLC, which is, oddly enough, exactly the same price as the game in the US. The UK pays £6.30. Unless you were a member of the First Access Club of course, in which case it's free, which is pretty awesome of Gearbox. Check your emails if you signed up)
