Ron Gilbert, Tim Shafer, Larry guys, and the tex crowd have tweeted about spaceventure showing their once and or soon to be again rivals some love, its cools to see everyone supporting each other for the good of the genre... As well as showing a mutual respect... Warms the heart... Or maybe just the place I keep my inventory.
This one's going to be close. I don't think we'll have a better idea as to whether it'll be successfully funded or not up until the last minute. This is tense!

Yeah. It's currently 90% of funding now with less than two days left to go. It's definitely going to be a close one.
Legit! For people who pledge at least $30 their names will be entered into a draw with a chance to win one of 3 vintage Sierra games! Even if you don't want them, these classics go for quite a pretty penny on eBay! Up your pledges! $25k and 26 hours to go!
Wow. That is an amazingly generous gesture, and I really hope it pays off.
EDIT: Because I'm quickest, I get to point out two new tier levels.

Glad they managed to get funding, that almost went down to the wire. Honestly, I didn't think it'd make it. Back on Friday, they needed 150,000 bucks, I think.
At this moment, lots of pledges are withdrawn, you can clearly see this going up and down. Seriously, either you back the project or you don't. Cowards!
Booyah! We did it! $503k raised and still climbing!
Thing is, now that the goal is reached and it's within 24 hours of the deadline, nobody is allowed to lower their pledge if the lowering goes under the goal. So it's definitely set in stone that this thing is getting funded now!
I have a theory. A nearly full month of fundraising only brought them 350,000 dollars, some people figured there was almost no way they would get funding, and threw their hat in thinking it was no big deal. Then it suddenly WAS a big deal.

Hmm. So basically you're suggesting that some people pledged just to ensure that the target was met, but they had absolutely no intention of actually giving that amount. Only now that the target's actually been met, they'll find that they can't back out.
If so, I suspect that once the time comes for the money to be paid, it actually won't be as much as it should be because those particular pledgers simply don't have that amount of cash in their accounts (I seem to recall someone posting here saying they'd promised thousands, and I didn't buy it one little bit - people like that). I hope I'm wrong, but...

I think that was for Tex. My offer still stands on this project though... if I find out you(ambiguous) backed out, I'll kill you... with a broad sword(just to be clear and avoid unwarranted legal issues).

In that case, no it wouldn't be as much. But the Kickstarter will still be a success and it will still be funded by those who CAN pay.
Perhaps people who paid $100+ in an effort to ensure it succeeded realize they're no longer required to stretch themselves so far, and are more comfortable paying less now that they know they can and still get the game made.
It is a bit of a dickish thing to do, but I can understand the reasoning. You really badly want the game to be made--badly enough to pay a bucket of money. But now that you know you don't need to pay a bucket of money anymore, you find yourself lowering the pledge in order to actually be able to eat more food than ramen noodles this month.
...not that I did this. I paid $30 and stayed at it.
Unfortunately, I did have to decrease the amount I pledged. I knew my credit card was near it's limit, but I just checked my balance tonight and it was tighter than I thought. So, I put it back down to $100 instead of $150. I could do $125, but I want at least a little bit of wiggle room.
Drat, guess that I really will have to put up that money now!
But seriously, I am ecstatic that this made its goal. Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe are two genuinely funny people, and their reunion story is very touching. Mark had a lot riding on this, too. He left his job at Pipeworks Software to form this partnership with Scott. It would have been a travesty for this Kickstarter to have failed. Although, Mark had said that a Plan B was in the works in that event.

From Terms and Conditions, under Fundraising and Commerce...
Backers may increase, decrease, or cancel their pledge at any time during the fundraising campaign, except that they may not cancel or reduce their pledge if the campaign is in its final 24 hours and the cancellation or reduction would drop the campaign below its goal.
I kind of wish this got more money, if only so that part of the dev costs could have gone to buying Space Quest back from Activision. I'm sure it'll be awesome no matter what, but come on, who wouldn't want an official Space Quest 7?

Why don't you guys just go out and pick up the license to Space Quest?
If only it were that simple! We actually did take all the steps before even announcing the Two Guys From Andromeda were back together in the first place. We even talked to the VP with Activision in charge of the Space Quest IP. It wasn't ruled out that there may be something in the future, but for now, they aren't quite ready to move forward with anything on that. We did obtain approval to use the Two Guys From Andromeda name though.

My credit card is at it's absolute limit, but I upped my pledge again to $150. I really want to see this made.
The Gary Owens interview was fantastic, by the way. Great stuff. He's a very nice guy. Had some cool stories to share.

VERY POSSIBLE.
The late surge is alive and well. New backers by the minute. Prepare for the fireworks.
/edit: 164$ left!!!!!
/edit2: IT'S FUNDED GUYS.
I was worried for a moment...
20 hours to spare too!
It's still rising though, but slowly now.

(Spaceventure, Moebius, Tex Murphy, and King's Quest (Telltale), Double Fine Adventure, The Cave)
Even though they are not adventure games per se, lets not forget Wasteland 2, and Shadowrun Returns!
An epic year for crowd funded games at least.
/edit: They're still doing it, withdrawing pledges whenever they can. Good to know they can NOT go under the 500,000 limit.
Exactly that.

So, now anyone who can't use Amazon payments can get the game (and any additional goodies depending on the tier you choose) too.

Laaaaame. What are they going to do, sit on the rights for another 5 years, doing nothing but collect royalties from GOG and Steam sales?
They are likely going to wait and see how well the Telltale King's Quest game pans out before deciding what to do with the Space Quest licence.
