Jesus christ, accept the situation as it is. It's not our fault that you didn't look into the game and Telltale more before buying. You already bought the darn thing, and it's already fairly public knowledge that Telltale Games does episodic gaming. And cajoling them won't make it go any faster. Go ahead, send your e-mails, make your calls. But the chances of changing anything are slim. And they aren't likely to change this model in the future.
Deal with it. Everyone else here is stuck like you are.
Besides this is THE OFFICIAL FORUM OF TELLTALE GAMES. There is no better site for better information on Telltale Games. This is it. You don't like it, too bad.
Interesting, the current most voted date is 29th of May, which just so happens to be my exam date, the second most voted date is 25th of May, which is my birthday. This is the biggest coincidence I have ever seen, EVER. Other than that, nothing else is happening for me in May, so it truly is a big coincidence.
I like the guessing game, I just wish because of work they would give a deadline so I could work my schedule to when it comes out, but regardless they do a great job so I'm happy.
PS. If the developers are reading this, make a season 2

Its not my fault that the official forum of ttg best answer is we don’t know, might be fun getting a rise out the forum until next epp though:)
In other words, you want to waste your time on annoying us. What are you, 10 years old with a lot of time on your hands and nothing better to do? Go waste someone else's time.

I'm not cranky. Besides, that guy was just being annoying. He knows the answer, but refuses to accept it. That's not our problem. He'll just have deal with the situation.

If we didn't have people complaining arguing and generally being silly then this forum would be slower then a herd of snails stampeding through peanut butter

I wonder if the programmers are thinking about how many actual diverging choices they can make before their is too many variables to account for while designing.

i guess they do it to the point where any more makes the game crash or they run out of possible combo's
like say
lee is nice to kenny, kenny needs saving but doug/carly dies, duck gets clem in to trouble so lee has to choose between random and clem either way clem is saved, new random causes trouble larry gets all high and mighty gets punched larry nearly dies lilly complains and lee makes a tough choice with clem needing help, new random helps save people, new random gets hurt and turns goes for doug/carly then some one decided to tell the group lee is a murderer .... clem cries...

Imagine if TTg could make a 7 gb game with this formula
I just created and voted. Unlike some people, I really don't mind waiting for a quality product. Heck, I'm still waiting for Mass Effect 3's ending, you know? But seriously...I voted May 29th as well. Most games are released on Tuesdays so it would make sense. Although...I'm not sure if TellTale tends to avoid that or not. I'm a Steam user and traditionally I've waited for the season to be over before buying.
But these episodes are totally worth waiting a month for. I noticed you guys call it a season though, and maybe it is, but I sorta thought this was planned to be a one-shot kinda deal. You know, once the episodes we bought are over, that's all she wrote. Could this story literally end in a cliff hanger? o.o
they've made a 7gb game that has multiple decisions that matter and can lead to multiple outcomes? I don't know what game that is i only know Walking Dead and Sam and Max the only system i got is the XBox 360 my pc is too weak to run pretty much any game
Less than three weeks is not "almost a full month" and I'm moving this to the release date discussion. There's no need at all for single threads with ever the same rhetoric question.
/edit: Come on, we can beat 300 voters until the poll closes tomorrow!!
This is the most bogus stuff I have ever read. Which idiots edit Wikipedia these days??? You'll very likely get episode 2 more than three weeks before June 30th. Or four, or even five.
The list is completely invented. It stretches the Season almost to 2013, how stupid is that? By then, we will probably have another Season of a completely different franchise running at episode 1 or 2... and the tumbleweeds rule the TWD game forum!!
We've only announced the release date of the first episode (which has since shipped ). When the dates for subsequent episodes are announced, you'll hear about it on the Telltale blog, Telltale's Walking Dead Facebook page, Telltale's Twitter account, and the Telltale forums. If you hear a release date from anywhere else first and can't find it substantiated on Telltale's site (or a news/social network page belonging to Telltale), it is most likely incorrect.
That "only trust the official source" extends to IGN and the like -- they put release dates up for games based sometimes just on a guess! They are often wrong.
I am new to TTG, but I have to say, I am very impressed with the first epp of this game and am really excited at the depth of story.
I know the delay sucks with episodic releases, but I for one have always enjoyed good television shows that have delays between episodes; allows for anticipation build up, discussion on forum groups, and really makes you appreciate the next installment. I hope that this game delivers everything it has started out with and more. I am such a huge Walking Dead comic and show fan, I can't believe that this game didn't disappoint. I wish people who are too stupid to understand the weekly release thing would shut it and realize that this is a great game who's spacing in between episodes can allow for some excitement. Also, TTG's track record speaks for itself.
That being said, are any of the other TTG offerings good? I don't like "kiddy games"... i.e. Wallace and Grommit...:D

All comes down to taste - I have all of the TTG offerings except for 'Bone" which I was never terribly interested in.
For me - "Sam & Max" Series 1-3, "Poker Night at the Inventory", "Back To the Future" & "Strong Bad" are all solid (although I did really enjoy "Wallace & Gromit" - don't discount it as being a "kiddy game", it's actually a really good adventure).
Favourite so far would still be "Tales of Monkey Island" though. Keep in mind that all of the above are very different stylistically and gameplay wise to "The Walking Dead" - at one point you could get "Sam & Max" S2E01 "Ice Station Santa" for free - if that's still an option, I would recommend giving that a try.
did not expect it to be so half assed, not a fan of ttg though seems they walk on water here, fan of twd
still say piss poor way to run a company and no wonder they do nothing about it when there currunt fans are pepared to be walked all over, if all my custmers said its cool we dont care i wouldnt give a shit about a timetable too
i know banging my head aginst a brick wall here as it all fanboys
Mate, you're Australian? No wonder there's been all the confusion, these guys here don't speak Australian!
I'll take it from here guys. Let me translate, mate.
Let's put it in terms we blokes from the outback better understand. Say, you and a wallabee are relaxing, and chillin by a billabong. When along comes a bloke with a Koala on his back.
"Crikey!" he says, "There's some fair dinkum in that there billabong mate! I've got five jumbo prawns in there, and for only $24.99, you can have them all, approximately once per month, awww they'd be great on the barby, mate!"
So he offers to sell you those jumbo prawns, and the Koala assures you you'll get all 5 prawns. Now, Koala are revered as one of the most trustworthy animals of the outback, so you have a little confidence, and because you really love prawns (both the comic AND the TV show!), you agree to buy the whole 5 prawn series.
You buy them with the knowledge that they're episodic prawns, and they only swim up to the surface every month or so, and only when at their most succulent and nutritious.
You're not gonna go back into town 7 days later and start making demands about when you're gonna get that second prawn. The first prawn was delicious, but you know full well, you'll get the second prawn when it's ready, not a day before. If you and your wallabee tried to make a ruckus, they'd definitely run you out of town, maybe even take you up there to Ayers rock, where they'd beat you down with a didgeridoo!
Point is, you agreed to what you agreed to. You bought it, now be a man worthy of Australia. Be a bloke! Man up and accept your mistake, drink about 40 Fosters Lagers, make sure to do a little wrestling on the dirt wif your mate Bruce, and all will be right again on the outback. You can bet your dingo on it.
For me - "Sam & Max" Series 1-3, "Poker Night at the Inventory", "Back To the Future" & "Strong Bad" are all solid (although I did really enjoy "Wallace & Gromit" - don't discount it as being a "kiddy game", it's actually a really good adventure).

Thanks for the info - very thorough and solid recommendations. I have to admit that I'm pretty intrigued by the episodic release, but I think - for me - the beauty really lies in a show like TWD that I love so much and actually feel to be enhanced by the wait between episodes. It's like waiting for the next episode of the show and not knowing what is going to happen next makes it even more exciting to watch. That is something I loved about lost and still love about Fringe!

Quoting Jake again:
You'll get the episodes much sooner than that. Its a monthly release.
That is probably more realistic.
