You know, there was a man who pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the 1980's and he held on to that ticket for god knows how long.
And another thing, your comparisons with food is not sound, Food and Video games are two different items with different preparations needed to be done. By buying the season pass you essentially pre-ordered the game, so the more you bitch, the more the game won't live up to your expectations.

I see S.Thongs point. Why the hell say something if you can't deliver it. If I hadn't paid for the bundle I wouldn't be as mad as I am. But fact is they have MY MONEY. "Yes I'd like to order a pizza please" "That'll be 35.50. And we'll have it to you in 30 min" 30 min goes by. Call the pizza place. " Umm wheres my food. Sorry your orders been pushed back. call again tomorrow" click. Call back. No answer.

Its the same thing. I don't care if there are delays, but tell me that my shit isn't coming on time.

Thats why this world is jacked. Everyone is so passive. How many of you payed the bundle pack with your hard earned money and are just saying "oh i'll deal with not having it and not being told what the hold up is" Doormats plain and simple

the difference is that you need food to survive. you don't NEED this game to survive. (and it would be kinda sad if you did)

of course you would demand your money back in that situation... then go somewhere else and buy another pizza. you could also do that in this situation but you wouldn't be able to buy the same game, you'd have to buy a different one.

Okay. So lets say instead of food I want my house remodeled. The forman says 6 weeks. After 8 weeks its still not done. Im supposed to be happy about that? Get real guys and gals. Simply put its Bullshit. BTW that dude that pre-ordered Duke Nukem must have been PISSED haha.

Lol no but it happens all the time
If you Read the Moderators whole post his sig states clearly Mods are Not TT employees

Backbone = Standing up for yourself,. As I did, here. Why? because TTG don't respond to anything. So I made my opinion clear on the forum where many are complaining.

Being a doormat = EXACTLY what you said but given they have done this before and you STILL buy from them, yes, that is being a doormat.

I also have no idea how you made it this far in life. I would have killed myself long before had I been you. But then, I am a winner and couldn't stand being so passive and beta.
    Enjoy that. LOL

Dude.. You "stood up for yourself" on a message board.. Way to go!!!! Your parents must be so proud.

Walking Dead is the second game that I have bought from TT. I bought Jurassic Park after it was finished.

I'm doing pretty well for myself actually. Awesome wife, beautiful baby girl, pretty good job (pays well, but can be boring, which is why I'm posting here right now), etc.

And I did all of that without posting whiny complaints on a message board. I can't fathom how I ever was able to pull that off.

That's happened dude. Delays and stuff like that happen all the time in construction. If one of the workers died in an accident and all you cared about was how your carpet has blood on it you'd be a horrible human being. If your mother tries to sew you a blanket and instead of it taking a week to make it takes her more than 3 you don't chew her head off! These people are working as hard as they can on this project and it won't matter because people like you will find SOMETHING wrong with it just to bitch.
I'm not saying you shouldn't be angry, but look at the dates left on the poll. If it goes past the 6th and there's no game THEN you have a right to be mad.
  • edited June 2012
Listen. All I simply want is information. Thats it. Plain and simple. Again. INFORMATION. Thats it. Just let me know when my money will be put to use. Idk how you correlate blood on a carpet to waiting for a game but so be it. Im just really bummed that I can't even get some knowledge as to WHY.

And also correct me if im wrong (thats fine if i am) But the guys with the TTG logo in red and that says TellTale team under their name are employees not mods right? Like Mike for example

    I voted Tues. June 5th.

I'll be on vacation next week so I'll still have to wait even if it drops then but hey... I can wait.

Agreed put some new votes up and at least let us have another go at this guessing competition. :)

    Done. :)

I've reset the poll and changed the dates. Can't promise a prize this time around though (I know divisionten has a lot going on, and I don't have the awesome art skills required to provide a prize), so anyone who gets it right may just have to be content with everlasting glory.
So my dude. We are just supposed to be used to not getting information? [...] They come on the boards to tell us "enough with the personal insults" yada yada so you know for a FACT TellTale workers are reading this stuff.

Unfortunately I don't have any information to give - I'm a community member like you guys, not a Telltale employee. Not saying you need to be happy about it, just asking that everyone express themselves without taking it out on each other.

You promise something, you don't deliver. Why should I respect that? Why should anyone just accept that and wait around? I'm not insulting anyone, I'm asking a question. Why is this business practice okay? While 20-something dollars (I think it varies depending on where you buy it, but I believe it hovers around the 25 dollar mark.) may not seem like a lot to some people, it is to many others. I'm one of those people. If I can't hold a company to their promise, they don't deserve my money. Unfortunately, Steam offers a no refunds policy, and I can't get my money back.

This is a discussion, and this is my opinion in said discussion.

On the topic of guessing when the release date will be, realistically, I'm hoping June 2nd-10th. If it's any later than that, I'll honestly be surprised if anybody is still saying "LOL BE PATIENT!"

Edit: Agreed with thewalkingdeadhead. Several employees have posted on these forums, telling us to calm down, stop insulting eachother, etc. That's all well and good, but 1st. That's the forum mods job. and 2nd. Why aren't they giving us any information?

Seriously. Why is it so hard for a company to simply respond to their customers? To me, that seems like a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. It gives us something to look forward to, it makes us happy that the team themselves care enough to respond, and it may even result in us getting to converse with them. I'm not angry at TTG directly, but I've been treated this way by many companies in the past, and I think it's finally getting through my head, so forgive me, TT, if it seems like I'm directing everything at you.

Phew, when I get serious about something I make too many paragraphs.

    Like this.

    Thanks and Agreed
maybe an automatic response to all those asking with a "there has been delays please be patient" at least they get a response right ? lol
And Damn when everyone get so uptight about 24.99 thats like one pack of smokes

Nope, you can't just reset the poll, puzzlebox. If you want to make a new poll, you have to start a new thread. Anyone who has already voted in the "old" poll can't vote now because the system thinks they already voted! ;)

I was against just making a new poll/ thread but... if it helps, should I step in?

Don't put the Sats and Suns in this time!! :D :D

And have a "later than June" option for the pessimists. That always cracks people up. ;)

I'd offer a TWD commission in my art style... but I'm too afraid of what the winner would ask of me.
