the million copies news post says june but that could mean anything still and no other post on the forums saying /confirming.... could be just a smoke screen or a zombie fart...
wtf June :-s that's bull... lucky I only bought the first episode, I wont bother with this till all 5 are released since it could tske a good 8 - 9 months.
They could keep us in high expectations but they prefer to make us wait...
I don't feel so excited to play an episode knowing the next one will come on may, no, on june, no, on july.... One month is the maximum time to wait for....more than this....makes me sad and unexcited.
Also, why to wait almost until the end of the month to say it?
I think communication is the key... we're customers and we deserve it.
If you say one episode every month then you should stick to that by any means necessary. If I was the designer I would have all hands on deck around the clock if needed to keep my word. I know its just a video game but come on...your word is your bond.
I agree.
If you cannot live up to your word then don't say ANYTHING at all. Ever.
Otherwise whenever you say something, we'll assume it means something different.
"It will be out on -random date-" - Means it will be out between the day after and week following.
"They will be monthly episodes" - Means it will be every couple of months.
"They will last up to 2 hours" - Means it will last about an hour to the most green of gamers.
Again, either stick to your word or don't say anything at all and become a company that just ignores us. (Oh wait...)
As for me, meh stuff it I'm tired of you.
I'll wait until they're all out and play it next year or something.
A month to continue a story is the maximum I will wait, any longer and you're just pissing us around.
What do you hope to get out of this exactly?
It will make you less, rather than more money.
though im not hoping to cause arguements, im sure it will, were was it written that it was going to be monthly? (honest question, id like to see it, because if they promised monthly then they technically should live up to it) and secondly if it appears on the first of june (which i highly doubt it will) is it that bad of a thing to wait for less than a week extra?

Here it is verbatim from the PSN description for the game:
"(Episode 1 Available Now. Episodes 2-5 to be released monthly)"
So they tell you it's going to be monthly so you think "Oh well I may as well just buy the package deal (all 5 episodes) and save myself 5 bucks through paying in advance. And then they make you wait 2 months between episodes. I'm seriously glad I didn't get suckered into buying the package deal as I sorta figured something like this would happen. XBL must've figured the same thing as they had no option to buy all the episodes in advance. This is some serious BS on the part of telltalegames.
I don't understand why people are getting so up in a knot over the change of release date for episode 2.
Doesn't mean it's necessarily the end of June, it could very well be early June. So you've to wait a few days extra, what's the big deal?
If Telltale feel the game isn't ready to be released to hit the date exactly on one month, and they want to make sure it's a great game, would you rather they released it bang on date, and possibly be unpolished, unfinished or buggy, or would you rather they took a few days extra, and delivered something that's quality?
It's not like anyone has been 'suckered' into buying the package deal, as they will still get the same amount of episodes, they just won't be disappointed because the game had to be rushed out.
Why is this game episodic? What does that mean?
•Telltale has a strong history of releasing episodic games but more importantly, we wanted this game to offer an experience analogous to the comic books and TV show, which are also episodic in nature. We have plans for 5 episodes, releasing once per month.

Ehm guys, you all do realise it could be ANYWHERE in June right? For all you guys know it could be June the 1st. Okay, it also could be at the end of June but we still don't know. All we know now is that it'll release in June. Which means it could be on any of those days said month has.
About a week ago i posted a thread about information I found on walking dead wiki. it said there would be delays and episode 2 was being pushed back to june 24th... this was apparently refuted.
Now I have came back to the boards for the first time and see that the game has been pushed back to June. It seems really funny to get a vague answer from a telltale member and a week later to here the game isn't coming out until June.
I'm starting to believe the original information from walking dead wiki was right...
If I wasn't so addicted to the walking dead I'd probably stop buying this game.
I know everyone keeps saying be patient, they are putting all of their effort into the game, and it's not that I don't understand that. I want a quality game too...but waiting for a maximum of three hours of game play is just frustrating. I guess I'm not too big a fan of this episodic gaming...
Since I'm an addict though, I guess I'll play ball.
I've been around while not actively posting since the first Sam&Max season. The best advice I can give you. Is find something else to play in the mean time. It's what I do. I find another game series to play and I just go with that..I did an Assassins creed run in about a month and a half. While it doesn't fix the problem it helps it.
I actually just read all the comics....I saw the show, had to check out the comics. read em all in two days....the comics are much better.
It kind of annoys me though a telltale member vaguely refuted my post about the June 24th release date, and a week later its officially going reported to be released in June... kind of felt like a little smoke was blown up my ass.
Being the pessimist I am though, it really wouldn't surprise me to see episode 2 until the 24th.
how are you ripped off ? your still going to get the episodes like everyone else and like everyone else you'll have to wait longer....
ttg haven't failed they have given us a little idea of when to expect ep2 which before most people assumed it was monthly...so imo ttg have actually been nice to us by giving us bit of info on ep2....

Pretty sure Telltale said it would be monthly. And besides that, just about all of their games have been monthly on episodes.
I won't complain as I'm patient, but people getting mad about all this are pretty justified in being mad IMO.
does anyone know when it does come out if all platforms will release the same day or will xbox be last to get it cause the first episode came out 3 days later than ps3 and pc
you're right capn jay! this is just like OWB when fallout new vegas was doing their DLC... I really think it's a shame this ended up happening. a lot of first time buyers like myself are probably frustrated with the lack of information they are getting...plus ontop of the whole episode 1 release cluster which resulted in handing out steam codes so people could actually play they game they bought. I'm not really impressed with how telltale does things...
If the second episode is delayed can you imagine how far the 4th or 5th episode will be pushed back!!!!! The more episodes the more complicated= more time. TTG should not make promises they cant keep. Or hire more designers to keep your word!!!!!!!!

"A Bergman" Is based on Fallout New Vegas when Jason Bergman said
"Good lord, you guys are paranoid.
It will be out in August. We delayed OWB because of the patch. We don't have that worry with LR. "
Then it turned out ... Lonesome Road was Delayed.

Telltale themselves already announced June.
