*i am not a telltale fan*.. i have come to terms. i like most wont buy another game from them (especially after the launch fiasco of walking dead ep 1).. but i am quickly giving up on checking on updates. if it comes out then well it is what is and i will get to it. but i will not waste another night waiting. for example, the whole steam bs and now i have to redo all of my playthroughs (with out doing all the crazy moving files process).. i just dont care that much. by the time the game comes out i will have forgotten either way.. so guys just take a breath and get ready for the short end of the stick i suppose.:o
Yeah that is true. Plus, TTG employees probably aren't even awake yet considering they're in California.
yea i am hoping that when i wake up later it will be released and ill have a nice surprise its 6:00 am where i am i have insomnia but i have to sleep sometime lol;)
Although i'm definitely not optimistic that it's coming out today, it's not even 4 a.m. here in California yet, so there's still some hope. There's still plenty of time for ish to hit the fan.

True, maybe the pc will get it earlier than ps3 etc. I just remember ign having their review of ep 1 up around a week before release and psn blog having a article from jake the day before the original 24th april release date. Would be nice to have the game out today i just cant see it
i hope steam gets it before the others. The amount of times ive had to wait for something to be released on steam when its already out is stupid. But theres less than 6 hours until its released here presumin of course it goes on sale at 6pm in the UK like episode 1 did
I wouldn't say calm down. Because, you know if it's not out today, these forums will be on fire. Get the ban hammer ready Vain. You're gonna need it...
Why thanks for the reminder. But, yes, I will say calm down again because that's the necessity here. There is no indication whatsoever that episode 2 comes out on any platform today. It won't happen, and that shouldn't come as the big surprise. I'm trying to soften that "blow" because I'm trying to keep the forum a friendly place.
I have readily shared my disappointment about the lack of communication, but at this time, the flaming helps no one. We all know there's a rise in aggression and there's some reason for it. But I absolutely hate to ban more and more uncontrolled insulters, be it personal insults to Telltale, mods or community members. Frankly, that's NOT what I became a moderator for. I wanted to be helpful, now it seems the only help I can offer is to surgically remove extremist elements from the forum.
No idea when they will finally release episode 2, but I_positively_trust_Jake when he states they're hard at work to get this thing out there. These guys are sweating hard, and they are quite aware of what boils in their forum, I am sure of this.
There's no episode today. That sucks, it really does. But Starved for Help is around the corner now and that's that. You've all waited your butts off for this episode and Telltale should well appreciate that, but eventually one more week isn't that relevant. So again I do ask for your patience, not for TTG, but for the sake of a functioning community. There's one thing I consider certain, and that is that this discussion is not over once episode 2 releases. There will be an aftermath. I hope it will be quieter, more fruitful and elicit more responses than the present one-sided discussion.
Yeah, too true. There's no point getting frustrated over it not coming out today, when it's certain to be out in the next few days regardless. It probably shouldn't be necessary, but the blow softening is definitely working for me.
This is pretty pathetic. Lost all care for the characters I grew attatched to in episode one. Going to have to play through it for a fourth time before I start part 2 in order to get the 'magic' back. This game feels like it will be out second week of July, then we will see the obligatory pat yourselves on the back for a job well done posts by TellTale. I should have learned my lesson with Bttf and just picked up Twd during episode 4 so the wait didn't kill me. Oh well.

i am confused on the meaning of this? does that mean if there are more aggressive people they will get banned? every consumer has the right to complain? If you go to a store and they sell you rotten food, do you not have the right to complain? or do you have to suck it up and say... "well when you get around to fixing the problem thats cool with me!" .. nobody here would sit here and wait for a physical retailer of any sort to get back to you them on "THEIR TIME FRAME". So dont hypocrite out on us honest consumers with this digital understanding kind of mentality...
Perfect example is... i pay my phone bill monthly, but even though i pay it... if my cell phone provider cant manage to keep its towers up or continue service without ANY INFO... should i just sit back and say... its cool, my phone will work when it works?.. (devils advocate)
i agree it needs to calm down a bit.. but you cant tell people to not speak their minds on something as one-sided as the ttg team has take on a "dont talk dont tell" mind set? please, correct me if im wrong.
ive read somewhere, that the episode itself is finished and they have problems with licensing some stuff on xbox and ps3? is that true?
if thats true, why cant they release it for pc asap and for the consoles later? i mean we were told to get them on a monthly basis...
if the episode is not finished then go on and take your time! id rather have a good game than a "dang it together and throw it out like mass effect3" kind of game!
What he is simply trying to ask is that whether praise or anger, keep it civil, please do voice your opinion but try to keep them civil.
i agree with the whole civil concept, but ... people arent being shown the same respect from ttg either. people that have paid the entire season off should AT LEAST get an email update once in awhile. Just one response from someone that isnt a mod would be nice for me and everyone else (and im not really even complaining.. ) TTG have kinda placed ALL of the burden on the mods and get to sit in their "bunker" not caring about the paying customers ... again (2 episodes in a row i mind you)

I do completely agree, especially the mods part, i mean they are currently up a certain creek going against the tide, and TTG has dropped the ball recently and im sure they will present a reason at some time over the next few days/weeks, and i can also see that some will be equally offended by this as they will feel it is not enough. But it is (as always) out of our hands, and i know it is more than cliched at this moment, but ill say it anyway, there is nothing we can do but wait, perhaps they have something up there sleeves to surprise us all, who knows?

(haha its a quote war lol) i honestly do feel for the mods at this point. If i were a mod.. i would have just stayed away from this forum for a while. But, as for the ttg team having something up their sleeves, highly doubtful. I have to go through and play episode one again because of the whole free steam code bs... they never really fixed that issue, it was more of a buffer and i dont expect one single act of honor on their end for this either. But hey.... they make other games for this reason i suppose. occupies my time either way ..
(the sad thing is.. the reason i am disappointing with this is the fact that i would have waited in the first place for the xbox release and not gotten the game from the developer if the first episode wasnt supposed to come out on PC first... the smartest people were console consumers in theory.. they can take or leave the game when they choose)
*snip* the smartest people were console consumers in theory.. they can take or leave the game when they choose)
Im not 100% sure (xbox gamer myself) but didnt PSN offer a season pass as well?
Plus the fact that the game released first on the pc is the nagging feeling that we wont see it til july, I grasp that for xbox gamers we have to wait til wed each week, i have come to terms with this lol, but IF it was ready surely the PC gamers would have already got it, completed it, commented on the bugs or battery puzzle like elements and started a thread entitled "Walking Dead Episode 3 Release Date Discussion And Guessing Game (Late August)"

Xbox , PS3 and Steam users could play to Episode 1 the release day. TTG users couldn't.
I do apologise, for some reason i was under the impression that pc (steam) got it first and that xbox was a day or two later, in that case let me modify my statement to be.... last time they gave us some form of notice? erm.... yeah thatll do for now.
EDIT: just pulled this off the wiki
"Episode 1: A New DayEdit

thanks for clarifying for me.. that was my point as well. The people that supported the direct developer got the short end of the stick... and that was my point on the email to the supporters of the TTG. They took no cut in profit from us, but everyone else reaped the benefits. But somehow.. my non bitching now comes off as me bitching lol.

you are right.. one of the employees was working his ass off to inform us step by step... throughout everything. i cant remember his name right now. but thats what is weird.. i felt like he must have gotten in some form of trouble. cause he would have been all over this by now. I will update when i go through my old posts.
Probably reiterating what multiple people have said in this lengthy post, but I do not mind that it is delayed if they had released a press release, however, I do mind that I haven't recieved any update via ttg especially through email. Most people wouldn't even think about searching through forums to find out release date info and so not receiveing any info from the developer (even more so as I bought it from them directly) from any of it channels, I do feel severely let down by this company. I mean it is over 2 months since we had the last the first ep!!
And the cold cat gives us a perfect example of hos to do it! Welcome to the forums ChilledFeline, enjoy your stay!
ChemicalWinter: I too had a brief look through the original thread (the episode 1 thread) and i couldnt find any red members either, its a pity there isnt a member search function (that i can find) as the only guy i can recall off the top of my noggin that has been helpful is that jake fellow, and i know there are others who used to be active in this forum also.

i wanted to say it was jake too, to begin with.. so you are correct.
This is at the end of the story "Episode 2 will be available "around the end of June"—the only reason there isn't a firm release date is that they're waiting to hear back on the certification process."
Comments
EP 1 was released on PC before Xbox. Those are the facts. So in my mind, i doubt the issue is certification.
