It is the only country where people actually would sue for such small matters yes.
I am sure you could do that here in Europe as well, but no one would.
Media here makes fun of such lawsuits all the time.
Yeah. People in America are just ridiculous. And I'm American.
Ah, and the same kind of attitude can be found with Apple and Sony. So you're saying that TTG shouldn't release any games at all. Interesting.
I'm guessing they might end up losing a few more customers than you anticipated. It would solve the problem though. No games released means no delays at all.
Not at all, I'm saying that they shouldn't arrange their releases around another company's objectives. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. What Telltale has communicated to me is that Microsoft's interests are more important to them than a large amount of their customers. Their choice, but every choice has a consequence.
There's no need to be a old Telltale customer. You need to have played "The secret of Monkey Island" some time and have been a Lucasfilm Games customer (aka LucasArts).
Ok so this is my first post, and I am only posting because I am so upset. As with most of you, I'm tired of waiting when this was supposed to be a monthly release. If Ep2 is not released by the end of this month without an explanation, I will be contacting a lawyer to start a class action lawsuit. Those of you who would like to participate can respond to this post. Let me say, I’m not just some idiot who doesn't know what he is talking about. I hold two degrees, one of which is a BS in business management and I know business law. This will be a tort lawsuit for breach of contract. Whenever you purchase something, you are entering into a contract with the other person (in this case it's TTG). TTG in this case has failed to meet the terms of said contract and is liable. The lawsuit will only get your money back, and maybe (and I stress, maybe) some punitive damages. I guess we will see what happens. If you want to stand up for yourself, respond to this posting.
you paid 20$, they released ep 1 so you got 5$ worth so far so they still have 15$ of your money, were all angry with the wait and silence but suing for 15$ is just ridiculous lol, best you can do is just not give TTG and of your services in the future
Does the game update automatic or do I have to do it my self? (WHEN IT COMES OUT)
It depends. If you're using STEAM, you can configure your client to auto-update it. It should be configured like that by default. If you got it right from Telltale.. I have no idea.

There is a "DLC" option ingame, I'm assuming that is for the episodes.
I agree. I think you'll download the next (and subsequent) episodes through the game.
In the STEAM version, we only see "Episode Status" there's nothing about DLC, probably because we'll be updated through the client. It's cool you guys will be updated right through the game though... Assuming that's how it works :P

24.99 was my purchase price for the season pass on Steam.
I am not looking for a refund, since i still want to finish the game, but the lack of any form of communication to consumers is like having sand kicked in your face. "Thanks for your money and for making TWD a million seller. Talk to you whenever we feel like it....... TTG Staff" Hell that is even more communication than they have given
it wouldnt cost us anything to sue them. just sue for attourney fees aswell
You would have to win.. And you wouldn't.. At least I hope you wouldn't. I would hope the judge would laugh and throw whoever tried to sue for something like this in jail. That would be my hopes anyway.

Last Telltale game (Law & Order) updates worked that way, through the game itself.

even if you win theres no garentee. Costs are a seperate but included on top of the original motion, but yeah its at the courts power to grant, even if they were never asked for

thats odd i paid 19.99 for mine (psn), i thought the whole point of the season pass was that you saved 5$?
also i dont think its crazy if anyone wants to demand there money back or are (obviously) angry with TTG (the silence is killing us all), but i think suing is just ridiculous
I think we'd win. tell any one that doesnt know about the game whats going on and the first thing theyre going to say is 'thats fucked up' lets hope the trial is by jurrey.

Chapter 7 is interesting as well if you have played a certain telltale game.
It doesn't matter if it costs me 5, 20 or 5000 euro.
They sold me something, if they can't deliver i want my money back. If they don't do that ill use my "legal assistance insurance" (or whatever u americans call it) to get my money back! Not because of the 20/5*4=16 euro they owe me but because they scammed me!
Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know we're launching The Walking Dead - Episode 2 on Xbox 360 tomorrow and PSN (North America) Friday and PSN (EU) soon! EDIT PC coming this Friday too!
you guys are idiots for saying no ill join that lawsuit if they don't have my product iv already payed for at the time they said they would i want my money back!!!+
Money back maybe but there won't be any lawsuit, you wouldn't make it to the court room for something so trivial, there's more important things.
This legal talk is beyond stupid and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what constitutes a contract. If anyone had read the legal jargon instead of the game advertising it, this wouldn't even be discussed.
Punitive damages is not like pain and suffering or anything like that. Punitive damages or exemplary damages are damages intended to reform or deter the defendant and others from engaging in conduct similar to that which formed the basis of the lawsuit. Although the purpose of punitive damages is not to compensate the plaintiff, the plaintiff will in fact receive all or some portion of the punitive damage award.

Yeah, I happened to catch the tweet the very moment I went to view his feed. Posted it two pages back.
I hope that this "update" isn't just the steam achievements.
Haha, the backlash would be unbelievable. Look forward to the news tomorrow "Telltales head offices destroyed by fringe walking dead extremists"
