No you don't because you're an idiot fan boy.

What are you talking about? We got Episode 1 3 days after PC got it and 2 days, I think, after PS3. Deal with it.

That was before the game sold over one million units bro.

Well people please stop with this nonsense about how people should be glad they are getting the game finally and not upset the 360 is getting it earlier. This doesn't apply to PS3 users but for a PC guy that owns quite a bit of the Telltale library I'm not happy about not getting the game first especially after I pre-ordered. That isn't being childish, outlandish, or entitled. When TOMI was announced I pre-ordered it and I've bought quite a few titles since then. Ever since the JP fiasco It seems like it has been one thing or another with releases. Last time out Steam released the game early and we had to wait. This time the 360 is going to get a game early while I've pre-ordered a game I'm going to get late. So what is a pre-order worth? It just doesn't seem to make any logical sense that a person who has already paid full price for the item has to wait while someone who has not gets it. Not very logical at all....

Amen. I don't see how people can even start to defend the horrible business practices I've seen here.

But Xbox didn't even get the chance of having the season pass...

That falls on Xbox. I'm sure the option was offered.

It wouldn't make sense for them to deny it if they were given the opportunity. Tons of games have season passes for their DLC.

It does make sense. Why would they have it on EVERY OTHER SYSTEM? But not have it on xbox? Because MS thinks it will make more money selling each episode individually. I've been on here jumping on telltales case about what they have done wrong, but this one is obviously MS.

the episodes on xbl are 5 bucks a pop, right? Thats the same price I paid for the entire season...$25. And not only that but I had to pay it up front. Please quit while you are ahead.

Anything selling a million+ in the games industry is suspect to backroom exclusivity deals.

I wasn't lurking on these forums when Episode 1 was released but were Xbox kids complaining they had to wait 3 days?

The main fact and complaint is that Telltalegames obviously have terrible businessmen.

I understand they are a small company, but the lack of communication, the ridiculously odd release dates and just the lack of professionalism as a whole has to make you question where they really put the money. Obviously with this game they have spent a good deal of money to make it great. But other than the developers and writers/voices, who else does anything worthwhile there? Do they have any PR staff or anyone who has anything close to a business degree?

So then why are you not blaming TTG for accepting those deals?

I don't even see why they have a PR Staff if they don't use them until the day before the game releases...

Oh. Oh well. But would you guys rather still be in the dark with no release date or know when it's coming and just suffer a 2 day wait?
  • edited June 2012
Bleedin' playstation updates no psn in the uk at the moment, at least there's no firm release date for us so I don't feel like I'm missing out or anything!
It's been fun reading all the posts for the last month (trolls included) cant wait for the 3 month delay between ep2 and 3

Im fucking moaning because first of all there is two realease dates where they screw two third of the consoles asses.
Second im pissed that now finaly theres is a date and not do i have to wait for it to be realesed later than those who own a Xbox but i have to wait futher because my entire next week i wont be able to play the game because ill be on military Mission orintating training. I could have lived with that i had to wait futher without a realese date but im fucking pissed that the game is already out and i have to wait more than a fucking week because they make a preference of game consoles.
Im so close to say FUCK telltale games and never buying one of their shitty games again after this load of bull crap.

and to repeat my previous reason for why i'm not happy with the pc release being later is wait for it ..

SPOILERS... even if i try to avoid them...

Oh FFS. First we go through this inane crap of being left to wonder about the release of the 2nd episode with barely any feedback from TellTale, and now they're pretty much pulling the old crap of treating PC gamers as 2nd class consumers? Fuck that. I paid my money up front and it is worth every bit as much as an Xbox users money. Am I mistaken in thinking TellTale got their sealegs by starting out as a PC developer?

Oh well, not only do I feel burned by how the delay situation was handled, but now I have a 2nd reason not to support this company after this. I will be sure to throw my money towards a developer that respects all of their customers. I don't care if you were trying to get on Microsoft's dick, you owe it to us to consider what is in the best interest of the people who paid you, not a corporation. The PC is not a 2nd class gaming platform and you fools will pay someday for acting like it is.

everyone just shut up with the complains you should not be complain in the first place way back in may the did say it was coming in june they sayed june and it coming it june so it reaally was not delayed they do the with most of there games with the 1st and 2nd episode just like BTTF so shut up but i do agree thhat the MS is BS

I love how PC gamers feel they're being treated as second rate when the PS3 is getting it on the same day. Plus, Xbox Live only updates on Wednesdays. Also finally, you PC gamers need to grow up, it's just two days, and the XBox players had to wait three days to play the initial game.

So the xbox players response is "well they treated me wrong previously so its only fair that they treat you wrong now!" You don't see the failed logic there? Why aren't you right there going "Yeah they wronged me too whats with these guys?"

Some of our xbox brothers have been supportive and sympathetic as I'm sure we were to them. So let's get together and unite cause let's face is we are on the business end of the wanker!!

    You need to understand why.

    XBLA typically updates on Wednesday
    PSN typically updates on Tuesday

These are viable reasons to hold the release back a few days, as far as we are concerned with telltale. However the important chunk is:

    Steam updates every day
Telltale controls their own servers and can upload files at any time

SO! The only (sensible) reason the game isn't out RIGHT NOW (or weeks ago) on TTG's server or on steam would be to keep the releases close together for PC and PS3/Xbox. If this is the case, why can't they release it tomorrow with the xbla release? (This question may have a valid answer, but too bad we don't know because telltale won't fill us in)

Beyond that, xbox users can't preorder the episodes or buy a season pass, when PC gamers were REQUIRED to buy the season pass, so the entire market of people who have already paid for episode 2 are being excluded from tomorrow's release. Maybe they're hoping the anxious annies will pay the 800 microsoft points to get the game 2 days sooner (more revenue)

Additionally, they cite that the certification process for the consoles is what takes the release date out of their hands. So the xbox release essentially is what held the game back for so long, when the PC version has been sitting compiled, complete, and ready to release, and XBOX gets the first release to drop? Not cool.

This is why PC gamers are upset.

Wow, it is impossible to make some of you guys happy isn't it? For the past month-ish, all I've heard is "I'm not upset it was pushed back, just that they haven't given us any information." So, now we have the information, but even that isn't good enough? You seriously couldn't pay me enough to be a game designer and have to deal with all the whining. This is why I don't have children.

Seriously Captain 1 post, just now weighing in??

Look back at all the posts and this is what you come here to whine about?

Justified, and even if they were not, it's their/our right

Well of course they should :) But that's simply not their type. Let the poor sods struggle with each other instead of uniting for their common goal.

To them, any complaining is a sign of being spoiled. Only their concerns are valid. Other peoples' time schedules, worries and wishes are unimportant. If there's any criticism, others simply should "man up", "deal with it" and "grow up". Everything is relativized for their goal of self-affirmation by belittling the concerns of others, which are always "only... ", "just a...". Of course, they're excluded from all this since they're above those pesky others and obviously more intelligent, experienced and mature.

Best example can be found two posts above me.

I think we can all agree, we are ALL pissed, PC/PS3/ and even some Xbox users.

TellTale is to blame, I'm sure we can all also agree on this.

Let's at least keep it civil.
