All the write-ups i'm reading seem to be "The conference sucked, but we actually loved the games when we played them."
Meanwhile John Carmack's predecting that consoles will become an "audiophile-like niche." Which is shit because audiophiles really are the worst of the -phile's.
Well, there is always the slimmest chance that there will be a Zelda game for 3DS being shown.
I....Don't know it hasn't even been 2 years since OoT. I think it's going to be the titles that have already been announced and the new version of the 3DS.
Any Telltale news beyond Episode 2 of The Walking Dead? I heard we were supposed to get news on Fables.
Also, looking forward to some Vita news. I heard Sony has around 25 Vita games for show at E3, but they only gave Vita the most minimal of exposure for the conference.
Okay, I would swear that NetherRealm said that they would reveal more about Injustice at E3. I guess that means E3 of next year, cause the thing's almost over. I am disappointed. Just not much that's caught my eye.
Not to be Vainamoinen's "knight in shining armour" (though I do have a really nice set of armour somewhere in my closet), but I can see why the dude isn't a huge fan of Steam. It is, basically, an always-on DRM system. A very upfront and user-friendly DRM system, but one nonetheless.
I think it's a little OTT to completely disregard games just because they use Steam though. Vain's missing out on a lot of good stuff. And you can always put Steam in 'offline mode' if it really bugs you.
So speaking of E-3. I was at work when a couple of customers came in and they were talking about the Wii U and how abouts that said Nintendo Product is ripping off X-box with some of their game line ups.
But...99 dollars for a WiiU game bettter be a joke holder price.
Apart from the whole Netflix thing, it's not. People are just stupid.
Wii has a Netflix Channel (downloadable from the Wii Shop Channel). I should know, as I use it all the time. It even has a Hulu Plus Channel that was released recently.
That's not a rip-off of anything. To be honest, I really liked them saying that Amazon Instant Video is available on the WiiU. If I were to rent a movie, it would either be digitally from Amazon or physically from Redbox.

I know. That was the point. People saw that the WiiU would have them and just thought "Hey, Xbox has that. Rip off!" without bothering to see if Nintendo already had them or not. Because, yknow, people are stupid.
Oh. I looked at the "Brave" video game and... well... it looks abysmal. The worst thing is that Steve Purcell actually wastes time at E3 talking about this game. Anything he would have had to say about the movie itself, OK, about Sam & Max, even better, but this thing??
(Yeah I know a place thats accepting pre-orders, £280 for console, £35-40 for each game, though they have no price promise on it. Just a guess on their part)
One of the comments in said story answered the question about Friend Codes in a little more detail.
The Friend Codes will now be Account based, each system will support 12 accounts. Nintendo's spokesperson Charlie Sciebetta confirmed this at E3 and I quote "we are pretty much done with Friend Codes at this point".
No hard drive, sidestepping the lack of multi-touch, sidestepping short battery life, there is a friend code system they aren't yet telling us about in-depth, Off-TV Play is technically possible for all games but for some unfathomable reason they are letting developers make the call to completely ignore the option and gimping its possible functionality, sloppily sidestepping the "Xbox 360 Controller" comparison question(even though I don't really care).
Oooo, short battery life. If the control hooks up to a USB port, then I don't care.
And Reg has a point about the controller. Who cares if it looks like a 360 controller. Nintendo has designed almost all of its controls for ergonomics and ease of use. Well, except the N64 controller.

They need strategy games and MMO's running on that yoke. That's gonna show it's strengths and shift units.
I'm hoping for something big, but i'm not holding my breath, at least for first party titles.
Meanwhile John Carmack's predecting that consoles will become an "audiophile-like niche." Which is shit because audiophiles really are the worst of the -phile's.
Are you sure about that.
Yes. Because they are.:D I should know, I'm one of them.
When you succumb to your urges it's legal though, and hurts only your wallet.
You're right, I neglected the Francophile!

Btw you can now pre-order wii u games.

There were only two years between Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. And both of those were original games - Ocarina of Time 3D was not.
Very good point, and OoT 3D was outsourced to Grezzo as well, freeing up Nintendo EAD Group 3 or whoever to work on new Zelder.
We'll know soon enough (well you'll all know, it's past my bedtime as it is) I hope i'm wrong and there's some serious surprises for 3DS.

...Nintendo, I think I'm more disappointed in you than I ever have been.
EDIT: *eats crow* Not long after I posted this, IGN posted this video of Injustice: http://www.ign.com/videos/2012/06/06/interview-ed-boon-on-injustice-e3-2012
That HAS to be Kevin Conroy as Batman!
I'm mildly interested in the new X-com, but I'd be really surprised if this doesn't come with the Steam ball and chain even in the retail versions.
Agreed. Vainamoinen doesn't know how awesome Steam is.

The Wii and 3DS have Netflix?
As for your second point, that's one of the great truths of the universe.
Of course it is. Amazon has Wii U games listed for $59.99, anyway.
