    From TellTale Blog:
We're expecting to have some anxiously awaited release date news in the near future for Episode Three - Long Road Ahead and the iOS release of Episode Two - Starved for Help, so stay tuned to the Telltale Blog for the latest as soon as it happens! Thank you again to everyone for your patience, we're looking forward to fans getting their hands on the next episode as soon as possible.

Obviously they're not been paying much attention to this thread.. Patience?? here??

These forums and those of us who post here are much like the character's in the game itself. We're all stuck together in a small room, waiting for a zombie invasion, discussing each other, talking about plans, but because of all the different opinions, and frustrations, we're turning on each other at time's, forming our own cliques.

Just be glad their's no salt lick's in here!

10 months to 1 year for 5 episodes really?? I like the game but ttg sucks. Then you have these lame people posting messages to people complaining telling us, to bad just deal with it (like sir milo k.i.n.g. of my ballsack and master of aeron bater and others, all this time inbetween takes away from the game! Anyway I'm sure they will have plenty to say about this since they probly have nothing better to do then kiss up to ttg.

p.s.last post, peace out(they need a middle finger icon) :)

Back to the waiting game I guess. I almost forgot I even paid for this game, since its been forever since another episode has come out. At this point we should be used to the episodes coming out later then expected. I wonder which will come out first the next season of the Walking Dead or the next game episode?

My guess is TV series, the Walking Dead FPS and then the complete TellTale Walking Dead series.

There is a difference between what all these blog posts are and an update. It doesn't count as an update if it includes the following phrases

    "Stay tuned"
    "As soon as it happens"
    "Near future"
    "Coming weeks"
    "Very soon"

Not saying it will be tomorrow but the last time there was an update where they said they would have an announcement very soon, I'm pretty sure they announced the release date the very next day.

I have a feeling it will be released next week. And when they say "we're expecting to have news", that tells me it's out of their hands.

Yeah, because everyone knows you can just crap out a quality game. Seriously, everyone just needs to be patient. I paid too, and I'm waiting contently. You want to know why? It's because I know that when they release it I'll enjoy what I get.

To the person who compared it to going to a movie theatre and learning the show was delayed a week. I think the better comparison is if you bought a ticket to a comedy show that was 1 month away, but the show was delayed for some unknown reason. You still get the same show, probably a little better if the comedian tweaks some jokes before showing up, and don't lose any money.

I'm not trying to defend TTG, but all this angry posting here gets a little frustrating. If you can't wait for the game then don't buy the season pass until the series is completed. It's that simple.

Also, would you rather a broken game as long as it came out exactly on time? I know I wouldn't, and I don't mind if they take more time to iron out the wrinkles as much as necessary. Even though from what I've read here they've already finished and are trying to get the okay from Microsoft to put the game on their marketplace.

I know I'll probably get flamed for this post, but you all need to know that patience is a virtue.

Now, that I've got that off my chest I hope everyone here has a great day.
First of all, those of us who purchased the season pass (pre ordered, mind you) were told specifically that each episode would be released monthly. Shortly AFTER episode one was released, the wording on Steam was changed to "released periodically" the monthly date was gone.

That is slimy PR if you ask me. I am patient and can wait, but it is still very disturbing to be told one thing, purchase the entire product in advance with the knowledge that it would be released monthly, then change that promise AFTER you have paid the entire price.

Personally, i only bought this as a bridge between Season 2 and 3 TV series. Figuring April 24th, then May, June, July and Aug for all episodes.

Now the fact is, the TV show will start up and this series will still have at least 2 episodes to go. The TV show and Game are completely different characters and locations. To me, that will just make things more cloudy as I will then have to process two separate stories and try to keep them in line in my head.

This is not what i was expecting or wishing for when I originally purchased the season pass.

People have a reason to be upset as they were promised one thing, before purchase, and then given a completely different release schedule after the fact

I still say the release will be Aug 31st. This way they hit the 2 months release exactly, and then can plan for release of Ep4 on Halloween, Oct 31st, keeping the exact two month timeline.

However, if ep 3 is not released until Sept sometime, the scathing comments here will be brutal

There is no way that "monthly" was changed to "periodically" shortly after the release of episode 1. You might want to recheck that "fact".

Just a warning this is going to be long... and a lot of complaining... just letting you know in advance so you can skip reading it if you don't want to hear it.

I rarely if ever post here because I just don't find time for forums but right now I have some time to kill so I'm gonna let loose.

I've been a TTG customer since the first season of Sam & Max, I love adventure games! TTG brought me to my childhood by giving me games like Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Back to the future, and Strong Bad's cool game for attractive people... I love the games they make, Steve Purcell is awesome, and Ron Gilbert, and Tim Schafer are two names in gaming that I will never forget...

I can vouch for this when I say TTG has dropped the ball oh so many times in the past... as well as many other long time customers can.... Something I cannot stand though is the one excuse I continue to read is that "I'd rather wait for a quality game than play a half-assed one... =P" TWD has as many bugs in it as every other TTG game I have played... Glitches, choppy audio problems, tracks playing over each other and other weird random stuff... They have even told us that it's done... Their waiting on it to get verified or some crap... I will tell you this TTG as a tip (not that you'll read it) Plan everything ahead of time, including what your PR responses are going to be to customers waiting... The next issue here... They said READY mid august not released... I understood what they meant here... it feels like everyone else didn't... well it was ready mid august, yet here we are all of us including TTG waiting on when they can release it because of some third party which we are unaware of... This is one of their first REALLY BIG name Titles... as others were marketed to a very niche audience... adventure gaming still isn't very big in the gaming community, I think I understand whats going on to some degree... They are dealing with a third party that is a lot less co-operative than Ron Gilbert, Bob Gale, or Steve Purcell (Who I believe actually works at TTG doing art and stuff) TWD is very main stream and Robert Kirkman has been gaining tons of popularity through the TV-Show (Which I dislike, but my family watches it and really likes it) and through this upcoming FPS and the sheer number TWD memorabilia I keep seeing in comics shops, my Buddy works at a comic store, which gets ALL kinds of TWD requests.... So here's where I'm coming from... rationally... this is bigger than TTG was ready for... they bit off a bit much... and now they are suffering tons of backlash... Yeah I realize they screwed up.... I expect the same glitchy awesome adventure gaming I've been playing from them for years now... but that doesn't mean I will stop playing, I like TTG they are trying to revive a genre I really enjoy and grew up with. They obviously want this genre to be broader than a niche audience... I mean the graphics for their games have always been WAAAAAAY less than stellar.... I still love the games....

It will be released late, and the next one will to... it's not that they don't care... I believe they do, it's just that made a huge mistake and they are adjusting to handle it in the best way they can... They are VERY new to appealing to such a large audience... They're still pretty small too... It's alright though guys just think about it like this, it will come and they want to make us happy, I mean we paid them, they keep making awesome games and I keep buying them even through my frustrations with the way they handle their PR at times. Anger is natural...

But it's a stage of grieving... just chill.

That doesnt make sense. It is obviously a rated M game. There is no debate or question with that. The fact is 2 episodes have been released with a rating. How can that rating change, unless they change the first 2 episodes?

I am not making this up. Ask any Steam user. This is a fact, the preorder stated "Episodes released monthly" Sometime AFTER episode one, I believe it was actually after they missed the monthly date of EP 2 that it was changed to "Released Periodically".

One thing i do not tolerate is someone calling me a liar without investigating the facts. This is a fact and any Steam user who pre ordered will verify

I don't know much about it but even though it's an M rating, it probably has to be checked to make sure the content fits in that M rating and nothing "crosses the line". That's just what I'm thinking, so it could be wrong.

That and they have to check data size (TTG had issues with this when they released Tales of Monkey Island as WiiWare) and other things, PSN and XBXLV all have a BAJILLION games to check through so they can authorize them for release, also it depends on contracts and the like, we aren't even sure if TTG signed a contract stating that HAVE to release the game on a specific system first or not, there are a ton of third party factors they have to go through.

I still think they should do a better job at conveying this... just takes time is all... TTG's PR has always irritated me....

Well, it still reads "monthly" on the PS3 store...

To Robotoboy20 up here (message to long to quote) Then why not make the game finnished on PC first, getting the episodes finnished and out, then porting it to consoles, then taking preorder for consoles if they are to small to deliver to the game to more than one platform at the time ? OK, TWD may be a bigger game then their previous game, but why bite over more than they can chew ? The way they are doing things now is to scare off more people than they attract...

I dont know about everyone else but personally telltale can hold back the walking dead game for as long as they want cause i no longer care. I am so sick and tired of these idiots and the ill fated planning. There are too many games that come out to wait for one that cant get it together. The walking dead is good but by no means great for it to take so long so delay it for as long as you want cause i am moving on.

I'm not to sure why they make the choices they make, I just know that they've T'd me off before with monkey island on the PC, and WiiWare... I realize they aren't handling it right... that's why there was some slight disappointment with them in my post, I may not have conveyed that correctly.... I think they intended for this to work out in a way that allowed them to branch more... Did you play Back to the Future? It was on PSN, and it came out late every-time too... I really think this lateness is shared with the distributors as well as TTG. I said in a previous post that they may have signed some contracts stating that they would release the game on a specific venue first... similar to Bethesda... If they did, then that can't be helped, at this point.

No it was consistent. I do not know the exact date, but i know it was after ep1 and before ep2. Like i said, i believe it was right about the date Ep2 missed it's monthy release date. Which is still "shortly after" ep1.

Dont get so nit picky trying to excuse your failed accusation.

I did play Back to the Future, but I didn't buy (or discovered it) on PSN before it was released in full. I did preorder the Tales of Monkey Island and, was as angry as I am now with the TWD, hell, I bought it on Steam back then, and when the final episode was delayed on steam for 24 hours because they couldn't finnish it on time before the people at steam went home, I was so mad that I got the final episode off Piratebay...

I was very sceptic to buy the seasonpass for TWD remembering my experiece with ToMI, but I realy thought TellTale must have learned since then, I guess I was wrong...

Actually it's obviously more reliable than the PSN. Considering the faq is changed whereas PSN is not.

"Soon" can mean anything to tomorrow until End of Days(and that is just the releasedate witch may or may not be held), so I'm not holding my breath. Not sure what you mean with your last sentence, but when I bought the seasonpass (as I said in above post) I thought (hoped) that TellTale have learned when they made Tales of Monkey Island....
