Name-calling has never been a hallmark of a solid, logical argument. If the best you can say is, "anyone who disagrees with me is a fanboy," then I'll just go ahead and assume you have no real counter-argument.
I'm guessing part of the deal with Microsoft and Sony is that the game has to be released on their platforms at the same time as the PC.
They make awesome games. What other argument do I really need for supporting a game developer?
awesome game** singular! all those other telltale games look like garbage and ive never heard of them before.
Ya, wish I could still be around to play episode 5 with my grandkids but just knowing they will live to see that day and enjoy the last chapter of TWD brings joy to my heart.
awesome game** singular! all those other telltale games look like garbage and ive never heard of them before.
Really? You've never heard of Back To the Future OR Jurassic Park? Go outside please.
(and for the record, Strong Bad is based off of www.homestarrunner.com, Sam and Max is based off of an old comic book series/tv show/lucasarts video game, Bone is a comic book, and Monkey Island is an old Lucasarts series)
Also, how can you say the games are garbage if you've never played them? They play almost exactly like Walking Dead! Just replace hard choices with puzzles instead, unless its BTTF or Jurassic Park in which case those games are garbage, or are you one of those "no zombies, guns, or killing, not a good game" type guy in which case leave.

Admittedly, I wasn't too excited by Back to the Future or Jurassic Park. I got the first episode of BttF for free as part of some deal or another. I've had it for over a year and still haven't gotten around to playing it.
But Tales of Monkey Island was fantastic. I still wish they'd do another season of that. If you've never heard of it before, you need to go find a copy of Monkey Island 1 & 2 right now because your classic gaming experience is sorely lacking. Sam & Max and Strong Bad are also a lot of fun. For those of us who are fans of the genre, it's great to have a developer that's still committed to making quality adventure games. They may be short and only come out in periodic installments, but it's the next best thing to having Sierra and LucasArts back.
If anything, I'd have to say that I'm kind of disappointed with less challenging puzzles in The Walking Dead, though I think the game makes up for it with the added role-playing elements and more dramatic storyline. I'm super excited to see Fables though.

Unless you want BTTF 4, just ignore that game. It will probably be the closest thing to a BTTF 4, but as a video game, its god awful. The story/voice acting is the only redeeming quality it has.
awesome game** singular! all those other telltale games look like garbage and ive never heard of them before.
Troll? Those games are actually hilarious, and quite fun! I bet you didn't realize that TWD uses the exact same TellTale Engine as those games? TWD is right below Monkey Island, and that ones right below Sam & Max for me TWD is okay but I don't find it as good as everyone else does... It's a slightly better version of Jurassic Park... Which wasn't very good either....
awesome game** singular! all those other telltale games look like garbage and ive never heard of them before.
Your name is Thugnasty... that says is all never mind... He only likes games that involve violence, and seriousness or stupid un-thought out humor seriously man... obviously a Troll.... or a complete and utter idiot.
I can think of one argument. They make a pretty damn good game. There ya go, I gave you one.
Also, they gave us as much info as they could. Would you rather them remain completely silent until they knew a confirmed release date? Oh, wait. They already did that once and were close to causing an actual apocalypse.
I find that argument invalid. Why? I will admit I love the game, and I enjoy it but however can we look at the facts? We, the players, enjoy the game solely for the storyline...the graphics are nothing to brag about (I like them, just saying it certainly isnt COD, fifa, or battlefield) and each episode lasts significantly less than most video games campaigns. My point here is I know it takes a TON of time to develop and I am not taking that away from them, but it cant take nearly as much time, money, and effort as any other video game. I dont know anything about making a game, but I must assume and take an educated guess that they SHOULD be able to make a monthly episode without a problem on time.
If there is any support for them its that they made a fucking great walking dead game and no one else has (yet) so until others make one better just shut up and wait. cuz even if your mad the game is BOSS and that aint no lie Mr. Grinch
ps no hard feelings dude. waiting sucks ass and a schedule would be awesome but aint gonna happen. ease down with the hate before i fed ex you mass amounts of pot lol jk(I'd never use fed ex;))
Im not Mr.Grinch, Mr.Grinch would imply I hate something for an unfair reason. The majority hates telltale because they dont stick to their word and are in general, sucky - a legit reason I would say. You then go on to say that I am right and I appreciate that. PS I dont smoke pot, and your joke was not funny.
And if you think TWD is anywhere near the best game I have ever played.... LAWD help yo' self
I absolutely love coming to these forums knowing people are going to be arguing over episode 3 release date !!! Keep it up can't wait for when episode 3 comes out and everyone fights over episode 4 release date
I guess thats irony 2? Seriously I´ve been readin this thread 4 weeks and this guy asks 4 it. But since hes got like 2k posts, anybody who offends him in return to his smart-aleck posts in which he doesnt do anything else than defend a by-the-book rip-off by ttg and (getting bitchy about it) gets warned/deleted what have you. See sticks. Makes you wonder....
I used to be very fond of that company and have played a lot of games they made, liked especially samnmax but this delaying is just a kick in the teeth and everybody but milo and maybe jaybreeze seem to agree with me so wtf if he keeps wisecracking he should be able to face the music b ottom line

but then you found people are finding other stuff to complain about..
I guess thats irony 2? yes it was Seriously I´ve been readin this thread 4 weeks and this guy asks 4 it. But since hes got like 2k posts Really hadn't actually noticed (seriously would of made my 2k post something sweet) , anybody who offends him in return to his smart-aleck posts in which he doesnt do anything else other than defend a by-the-book rip-off by ttg and (getting bitchy about it) gets warned/deleted what have you. See sticks. Makes you wonder.... Thing with that is i'm reasonable i have other things to do with my time and accept the game for what it is, episodic, being built one episode at a time ok in double what they planned but ttg get it done.. other game companies would of given up and moved on to some stupid crappy sequel (cough saints row the third)
Thing is, i did get warned, i was almost banned, the key is to learn from it and act accordingly these banned users DON'T F'ING learn.. and you 'sir' should ignore me and move on... as plenty others do...
Because i'm a smart ass, i know a lot of shit/trivia and i do my research and i'm getting old my minds a bit 'damaged' so my spelling/grammar isn't what it used to be.
Let's hope for the unstick next week as the episode releases (Oh GAWD I HOPE). That'll stop its victorious stride.
Some of Milo's posts could certainly be considered insulting, but the hard stuff came from someone else back there. Still, Milo, want to try another thread for now?
By that, you mean watching the community spiral into kaos?... Eh, if nothing's on T.V. lol:D
Haha yeah pretty much !! Hey it works though the whole time I was waiting for episode 2 I just read the forums every now and again to witness the uproar of insults and the constant trolling and after a while I was enjoying episode 2 !!
Originally their plan was to release monthly, but they realized they weren't gonna be able to do that and changed it to "periodically throughout 2012". To me it seems that the game spends most of it's time in certification, lol. Once they submit it for certification it's out of their hands.. so we'll have a release date as soon as they get word back from from their partners! I hope that's next week! They submit it for certification like around 2 weeks ago.
Wonder when "Periodically throughout 2012" changes to "Periodically by the end of 2013"
But those kids had to have had psychological issues before that, because any sane person(even a child) would know reality from fiction. That is the problem with these arguments, its impossible that pressing the left trigger to make some polygons fall over will ever lead to a massacre without having problems beforehand.
No you aren't, you are pressing randomly organized buttons to watch stuff happen like a movie, you AREN'T doing anything beyond that. Unless you are playing say the Wii or something with the zapper attachment, but then you are being trained to wait 1 second before anything happens giving everyone else time to react :P
All i am saying is that i am speaking from experience.
Not all of these murderers had any signs of psychosis or even any hint of a criminal past or violent past. You do not know how your kid will handle a situation where you are not there to tell him what to do.
I am through explaining it, because you obviously think you are above all others.
But it is a warning, and the fact is Rated M means NOT for people under 17, regardless of how well they are raised.
TWD game is raising some difficult questions which aren't fit for the youngsters. 17 should be the absolute minimum age, I believe. But this is not because there is reason to expect that the child immediately turns into a mass murderer or loses his grip on reality. You might get a temporarily disturbed child, maybe one that has a fright, and that's enough. A child with a family that gives him lots of care and social support can endure a lot of media authorities might have deemed unfit for his age group.
With media of all kinds, we catalyze the experiences in our social life. Games are not on the forefront of this. Movies and books still seem to have a deeper grip even these days.
I am through explaining it, because you obviously think you are above all others.
If you want to prove a point, saying the other person "thinks they are above all others" isn't a good way to do so. I don't think I'm above all others at all. I just find it silly to think pressing buttons somehow relates to mass murder. I do believe in other problems games like this can do(nightmares and such), but not violence in real life.
