it's coming november... they said it at the live-stream!!
They said it was slated for november but certifications and such could compromise their schedule as it has in the past so let;s not start saying they promised november or some such so we can all just get through this wait as easily as humanly possible...tho many here are already infected so that may be an impossible task:p grrrrr arrghhh
Huh, I'm curious. Why are most people voting for November 20th?
Well, I guessed the right date for Episode 4 by figuring about a month to finish the game and then tacking on another 2 weeks for the certification process. Don't know if that was the actual schedule or not, but if Episode 5 also takes 6 weeks, that would put on Nov. 20/21.
I am a little surprised that people are picking the 20th rather than the 21st though. If we're guessing the PC release date specifically, it should be on a Wednesday, assuming they follow the same pattern as the previous episodes. But others may have just not noticed that part.
I was going to pick the 21st myself. Then I thought, that wouldn't really give them much time between the release of Episode 5 and the release of the Season 1 disc on 12/4. I imagine that making and distributing physical copies probably takes a few weeks. So I backed my guess up to the 14th. Then I realized that they could very well have the disc ready to release on the same day that they make the last episode available for download. So I'm probably wrong. Oh well.
I am voting December 4th, because that is technically correct. Unless the release gets pushed back, episode 5 WILL be released on December 4th... as part of the retail release.
mid ish november gives em time to get it out to the 'we want it monthly' and so we online gamers can 'find all the lovely bugs' and spam the forums with them so ttg can 'try' and fix em in time for the retailers..

Nope, it´s confirmed that the episode 5 will be out BEFORE the retail version.
the 27th, they have 8 different storylines to right for crying out loud! good luck to em.
the best part is, they were right all along 'By the end, people should have very different groups' (dunno where it's from, but telltale did say that about episode one in the early days). Cant wait to see how it turns out.
I hope it is early November. I can't wait to find out how this plays out. Oh, BTW, I just finished reading The Walking Dead: The Road To Woodbury, and I am really disappointed with Lilly's character. It's a COMPLETE polar opposite character from the game. The book has her as a timid, gunshy, coward. And her father was a generous caring man, who died saving her life throwing her on a bus to escape, while sacrificing himself and being eaten. Very disappointed in the book with her character. But the rest of the book is a decent read, and a better insight into the Governor and his mentality.

Thank God! Now at least we know that Telltale's Lilly is the only real, psychologically understandable one. To have a character in a TWD game that is far more in character than the Kirkman canon, I'd consider that quite an achievement.

Speaking of which, I hope everyone understands why episode 3 was so drastically delayed and why TT was so gunshy about saying anything about said delay.
Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes between a game being finished and it hitting retail? I'm guessing it takes longer than most digital certification periods, but that's not based on much. I'm guessing digital certification would take a couple weeks less so I picked the 21st. But if it's a comparable period (difference of a few days) I could see Telltale just releasing everything on December 4th. Conversely, if it's more of a month's difference, I could see Episode 5 being released as early as November 7.
I voted for the 27th, the last Tuesday before the retail releases.
I hope this time around the PC version doesn´t come out after the PS3 version. Seriously, that was really strange, do they have to do certification for the PC?
I would love to see it come out on the day after halo four, i would probably play that then continue to halo four. I was sad when
lee got bit
; i was really hoping that i could continue or it could continue for another season, i love that game to death.
But, i guess, telltale's doesn't want another season, Robert kirkmen's probably too busy on the show, nonetheless, the show's great, good plot. But, i will continue playing the walking dead over and over
Well, this is interesting. I doubt that Telltale will have the release date of the episode weeks in advance. I just want to know the significance of this date on the gamestop website.

id say 30 november, cause its about 7 to 8 weeks after the last one came out!
Errrrr... you must have mislooked, it's always been this way. Really. Honest. Please?

Welcome back, Milo!
Yeah, I'd imagine so. I'm thinking an iOS release for episode 5 will follow the retail release.

And it'll be released at retail on December 4th, unless they change the date. Ergo, technically correct, the best kind of correct.
