I would love to see it come out on the day after halo four, i would probably play that then continue to halo four. I was sad when
lee got bit.
i was really hoping that i could continue or it could continue for another season, i love that game to death.
But, i guess, telltale's doesn't want another season, Robert kirkmen's probably too busy on the show, nonetheless, the show's great, good plot. But, i will continue playing the walking dead over and over
fixed.
p.s. they are doing a second season...just not with
Well, this is interesting. I doubt that Telltale will have the release date of the episode weeks in advance. I just want to know the significance of this date on the gamestop website.
It is a so called placeholder date.
GameStop has likely assumed that the 40 days between episode 3 and 4 would also be needed for episode 5, and bingo.
Telltale has really performed miracles for episode 4's schedule and obviously tries to perform yet another one, but years of Telltale experience tell us that it's the last episode of a Season that bears most uncertainty concerning the release date.

didnt they say before that they already knew what they were doing with theri ending? it seems like alls they should have left to do is the animations.
then again episode 4 had 8 possible endings with a choice of 4 things to say after so idk, i cant wait
different group members coming with you also theres the did u hide/show bite too. only difference is where his left sleeve is and who comes along so far;)
They should have the retail version come out BEFORE chapter 5 so people would consider buying the whole thing instead of just the last episode (seriously, how many people will will buy a game they already played? collectors?). Marketing+Trolling XD
Please keep in mind you're in the "normal" Walking Dead forum, not the "story discussion" one. Keep spoilers in tags ALL THE TIME.
sorry didn't mean to be a problem but shouldn't story elements from episode 4 NOT be spoilers to those in here waiting for ep 5? That was the only reason I said that but again sorry to those who were not up to date with the eps and saw spoilers.
Yeah, I'd assume that MOST people who are reading the release date thread have played episode 4. BUT NOT ALL! At least the eager iOS waiters haven't yet played episode THREE! And it's the non-spoilery section of the forum, people should be able to rely on this being [almost!] spoiler free.
Telltale tweeted to a fan that the release date for ep. 5 is set for November (shouldn't surprise anyone). No more information aside from that, but I think it's a good sign that it at least won't release on Dec. 3.
The "input" concerns in-game character relations and to a limited degree the narrative. Reprogramming the engine the game runs on or adding mods like this is a far more complicated thing.
The save game corruption is the damndest thing, and I think we'd all agree that the choice between a fixed save system and a save game configurator is an easy one. At the time, both doesn't seem to be possible.
I'd say Nov. 28. Somehow it has to pay for players who kept downloading the episodes instead of waiting for the retail version.
I honestly dont even see the point in retailing any games anymore, they slow down the release, increase costs etc. The games distribution as a whole could go completely digital...if not for ofcourse the thousands and thousands of jobs and stores that would be closed...but since when has that stopped innovating? Say with music stores.
Or maybe i got what you was saying wrong and they are not producing a retail version in the way that im thinking? Heh, all i want is episode 5 sigh, still cant wait.

because when you buy it digitally, you don't really own it. You lease it.
I'm hoping for November 20th(preferably sooner, but that's just being optimistic).
I doubt it will coincide with the retail release, especially since Telltale said it's expected in November. For all we know that could the last day of November, though...
Wonder if one of Telltale will vote on the release again date again.

Well, when you buy a physical copy of it, all you're buying is a disc with the game contents on it, along with a license that allows you to play the game. So you never 'really own' it.

I think the other posters point was just that having the actual disc with game content that didn't have to be downloaded is a physical copy of the game that you own. No need for re-downloading and if you want to use your game on someone else's 360/PS3 all you have to remember is the disk. Plus many (myself at least) are hoping that it will be slightly polished version of the game that worked out earlier problems/glitches so as to have a more enjoyable game, which would rock since this game is already enjoyed by ALOTTA people;)

I dont see this as a major issue at all, if you own a physical copy you are still only buying a license to use it. Besides, with digital copies you never lose a disc, it cant be stolen, and lease or no lease, it cant be moved from the service unless the service itself goes. And even then an alternative will be found to access those games, i mean say for example steam is way too big now to fail.
Brick and mortar stores delay release times, and drive up the costs for games which in the end may reduce the quality if on a limited budget due to disc and production costs. We may even reach that point in the future where the industry has no choice but to go fully digital, gaming is already in some form of a recession, where only the big companies, and a few small indie developers can produce a profit. I can also see them going digitally to stop people buying second hand copies.
Who knows when, but I wish they would hurry up so I don't have to think about another TTG game ever again. Almost a year total for one game? Learned my lesson.

Its barely been 6 months I like this buisiness model, would you prefer them to release all 5 episodes as the full game? Instead of how it is now bi-monthyl/two monthly? What if they ran out of budget and you never saw this series at all?

except if you want to reproduce the game digitally, they can revoke that licence. With the disk, there is really nothing they can do to stop you from making copies or playing said game.

Totally, I've lost so many discs and or game codes over the years. You know how many Steam games I've lost? That's right, zero. Also, the instant gratification of downloading a game instantly rather than waiting for shipping, makes digital downloads my very much preferred way of buying games.
Not saying I'm right and he's wrong, to each their own, but for me, Steam is the best (plus the SALES dude, the SALES!!!). I have over 100 games on Steam, and I've easily saved over $1000 buying them digitally vs retail.
I'm going say Nov 7. I want it to be released asap. Then we can play season 2.
Look...Telltale won't be making season 2 for a LONG TIME. As far as I know, they've still got Fables and King's Quest to do. I'm guessing that season 2 will be out late 2013.

I got the feeling that they were just gonna wait it out then deal with the zomblee afterwards.
ima have an awesome no life november lol

I'm going with nov 28 anyway.

so much for fans having input in between episodes

oh that's cute...he thinks them saying there is going to be a season 2 means they are going to make it right away.
