except if you want to reproduce the game digitally, they can revoke that licence. With the disk, there is really nothing they can do to stop you from making copies or playing said game.
Why would you want to reproduce it??? There is no need to, it will never leave the service unless the service crashes or you break the ToS in a major way. Just grasping at straws now, that is literally a non issue especially considering you CAN reproduce digital games with a certain know how, how do you think pirate groups crack steam games so quickly? Anyway this has nothing to do with the original topic, and even less to with the discussion about retail vs digital.
Look...Telltale won't be making season 2 for a LONG TIME. As far as I know, they've still got Fables and King's Quest to do. I'm guessing that season 2 will be out late 2013.
That's kind of insane. I know most of you are used them making certain type of games. But this is a hit game. You have have 1.7 million in sales. You got to strike while the iron is hot.
What good is them going to do by making content for another game then shipping this one out in a year. Risking people have lost interest. I'm just saying I think it's they're best game and it'd be silly to slow production for another game when you're doing this well.

Diversification is in all our best interest. Both for the survival of the company as well as for the creativity of the designers. No one wants Season 2 if it's exactly the same stuff as Season 1 (but then again, Kirkman has been doing exactly the same stuff for 10 years now and it still works).
By the way, if we're guessing the date for TWD Season 2 already, my guess would be mid to late 2014 and not earlier. Fables next and possibly a second Season of Back to the Future will be first (the latter would, due to gameplay, story and graphic issues with Season 1, not be my favorite pick) and would consume most of 2013. And if there's not that particular Season 4 immediately afterwards, there will be riots. Also, I would have nothing against the announcement of another franchise to be picked up by Telltale right now - the great work on TWD notwithstanding, maybe one that I can identify with a bit more.
Are they're least going to be moral choice. From what I know this was first kind of game where the choices mattered. The only games didn't have that. Why not using that feature in their other games?
So I'm not sure if anyone has addressed this, but I was looking up character pages on IMDB and seen that the woman that voices Carley has credits for episodes 1-3 and 5!!!!!

Last time I checked, ANYONE can edit IMDB. But aren't the edits supposed to be checked before uploaded on to the site?

maybe flashback during ep 5 at some point with either carley/doug. idk but they aren't gonna be alive present times;)

Well it could be a flashback or not, I looked at actors for Carley, Doug, and Lilly and it says they will be in episode 5 and I looked at Larry's actor and he wasn't in it. So perhaps a flashback????? Or maybe we will see Lilly alive and perhaps a zombie version of Carley/Doug??? I say the flashback scene would be more plausible but seeing a zombie Carley/Doug would be cool.

That seems a little wasteful. I know company's Bioware made their career off moral choice and interactivity. So has Witcher 2. Why stop at making this great creative thing for sam and max?
I obviously can tell you know the success of walking dead created a large incoming fan base. Obviously not just going sit around waiting a YEAR for next season. I'm just saying maybe they should make a season 2 asap and make money for their other games down the road.
Sam and Max aren't our characters though, they already have a set morality, that's why we like them. The only logical choices would be picking what kind of one-liner you want to hear.

I guarantee you that that iron will never get cold as long as their are people who enjoy the comics and the show... Plus they have other games that have large fan bases that if not tended to will fall away. I personally think that the reverse of your thinking is true. They can wait a year to do season 2 and the fans will still eat it up.
I certainly hope to see Season 2 end of next year, anyone know the highest number of games Telltale has released in a single year? With WD success then they probably have more money and people to top that now. I'm not too crazy for Fables or King's Quest, but I'd be willing to wait on WD Season 2 if it meant a new season of Sam and Max.

Because Sam & Max is not about moral choices. It's about endless creativity and fun in immoral choices.
If choices are to be implemented in that series, it has to be in a fundamentally different way than in TWD. I don't see that as a problem though, because TWD already implemented choices in a fundamentally different way than in BioWare's games.
So I have to skip from episode 3 to 5? That's fucking bullshit
episode 5 is not available...if you try to play it you can NOT PLAY! It was a bug in the system as episode 5 hasn't been certified or released for any platform. Hope this helps:)
Remember, Episode Five: No Time Left is coming along soon this November for download, and as soon as we have a confirmed release date, we’ll be announcing details right here, and everywhere you follow Telltale.
The ones who voted for the few possible December dates will now have to hope that there's yet another delay.
Well, I don't really expect to have problems, I think it will be fine. But, keeping my fingers crossed just in case... I don't want to do all that deleting, downloading, and replaying over again.
since i have so far avoided any problem, ep4 did some odd file relocating/changing the games format on steam i will be making a back up of the save folder before playing the last ep.

Though I won't mind it releasing before that
It's on the rise, yeah. You'd think people have learned!

The people who edit imdb are the fans of those movies or games. If they're reasonable, they do it AFTER they've got the facts straight.

keep the moral choices out of sam & max...kthxbai

BTW, LAST FULL VOTING DAY!! Time for me to vote. Oh, and the Telltale team members may now add their guess just for fun.
edit: Frick, jaybreezy didn't even vote yet?! He got the last two dates right!!! Ahhhh there he is, a late vote for a late date!
That was an ios bug, if I remember correctly. You can't even play the episode.

Reinstalled. Works fine now.
