I'm glad they're back. I enjoyed 400 days but it didn't feel really epic for me because I was thinking of Clem and Kenny. I missed those two. I'm so glad they're back. :)

I liked 400 Day's more maybe because I knew Clem and Kenny were not going to be there, I still missed them though.

Is there anyone in this forum who actually attended the panel?

    I did.

The panel was mainly composed of talking about PS Vita, showing reaction videos, having a few questions being answered, as well as a five second image at the end showing two hooded figures with Clem's theme in the background.

Explain the image in detail please!!! Others who saw the picture didn't not explain in ver much detail and kept it vague. Also, what kind of questions did they ask?

Is this picture the pic that everyone is talking about, the one with Clementine and a kid or is this a different one, ether way go into some amount of detail.

Interesting...that seems to be why most reports from the panel say Clem appeared in the image, even though both figures were concealed. "Clem's Theme = Clem". Maybe it's true...or maybe Telltale is just being sneaky.

Well, it was two hooded figures apparently sitting near a forest in the rainfall. Their heads were obscured, but I could make out of the figures with long hair. This image plays with Clementine's theme in the background for about five seconds, before The Walking Dead: Season Two shows up as a logo.

As for the questions, most of them were the same things we talk about always on the forum :p

-Is Kenny dead? (They were keeping that a secret.)
-Who were the two figures on the hill? (This will be revealed in S2)
-Will Clem be grown up in S2? Will she be a playable character?
-How were the developers able to craft the characters so well during the course of five episodes?
-Since Telltale's WD is awesome, can you guys work together with Capcom to make RE6 look less crappy? (Cue Kevin Bruner saying "We charge to the gates!")
-How did Kirkman first think of Telltale developing TWD? (Kirkman was a big fan of TT's Strong Bad and thought that they could tell great stories.)
-Also, Dave Fennoy jokingly asked "Why did you have to kill Lee?" and "Can you give us anything to keep us going?" which prompted Telltale to show the teaser image.

    That's all I've got, folks!

That is not a whole lot, thanks anyway for telling us, so this seemingly non existing pic was not the one shown there, interesting.

People still think Clemetine is going to be grown up in S2? Why do people want that so much? do they want to ruin the games canonicity? people NEED to understand its in the comic books storyline.. I really dont see the obsession..
  • edited July 2013
I thought people would stop talking about it the first time someone said that the comic is at best only 3 years in, she won't look that much older at all.

I'm confused as to why people are labeling Clem as one of the figures. Even though Clem's theme was playing during the image, I saw no relation that she was one of the figures. The figures looked more grown up to me.

People are "Clem-Crazy", man. They just can't get enough of Clementine :D

It's just I have heard some talk about a pic with Clementine sitting on a log with another child, it's just I have searched the internet and have not found it at all, and Telltale has not said a word.
  • edited July 2013
Even if it's not Clem in that picture, we can relax. Clementine is confirmed to be in season 2, acoording to IGN.
  • edited July 2013
I think we all knew she would be back, but it is good to know that even the smallest of doubt has been washed away, now if only I could figure out if this 'pic' is even real.
  • edited July 2013
I think it's real, there has been two teaser images, this one and one that they showed during their E3 conference
  • edited July 2013
Okay, it's just after so many hours of looking I have yet to find the other teaser pick, does anyone have a screenshot of the pic Zeruis talked about?

Oh, I thought they were the same image. Didn't both have two figures sitting with hoods, or is the Comic-con one slightly different? Because there was mention of a forest and one figure having long hair in the CC one.
  • edited July 2013
I honestly don't even know anymore if there are two teaser images or not, I guess in a month we will know.

Well the description for the one showed at E3 never mentioned a forest or rain, just two hooded figures. I'm guessing they are different images.

Maybe there is some kind of cult who wear hoods in Season 2!!!

YES! Kenny's fate! We finally get to know for sure. Alive or dead, I just wanna know. (But he better be alive.)

    That's dark, I love it!
  • edited July 2013
Well I guess if he is dead, then it's better to know, then to believe he is alive and never know, this is a good thing, for now anyway.

Kids grow fast. If Telltale decided to put Season 2 that far forward we would see noticeable differences, though not as much as some people hope.
  • edited July 2013
Looks wise not to much, personality wise a ton, I don't think we should skip ahead a year because we will miss all this development in her character.

Sorry this thread went in one direction, and now another, in comic con news I have checked the web, and have not seen that photo at all, it's nowhere.

Well, there has to be at least ONE comic con exclusive visual. Apart from this, Telltale seems to be empty handed. There's a reason why journalists only describe the image - they're not allowed to post it yet.

The maturity of some members on this forum...

the way i see the 'clem must be older theory' is cos some people want to play as clem in the game but they don't like the idea of her being a kid cos in their view a kid can't survive alone or be a good protagonist.

i actually want to be clem in the game as she is from season 1 cos i think it would give us more reasons to emotionally invest in clem's story and experience it differently cos 95% of games use adults/teens and that comes with an automatic sense of strength and bravery.. but a survival horror game like with sherry from resident evil 2 (she's all grown up in resi 6) was kinda scary cos she had no weapons. true clem will have a gun and can use it to some degree but she imo would make a great game protagonist.

Playing as Clementine does not bother me, but I can see why some people would not want to play as her.

    And I'm one of them.

It just doesn't seem right. Clementine is someone who's outlook on life iss caused by your actions. There's no reason to have "Clementine will remember that" at the end of Episode 5 if you suddenly take the role of her.

Plus, I don't think she'd have the most advanced of choices for dialogue.
  • edited July 2013
That is why I can see most people would not want that, I can adept to stuff like that but if I get a choice I would prefer not to play as Clementine.

I know it makes me sick! Why come to forums when there are so many repeat threads.

Honestly, though, I'm not gonna get my hopes up, in case telltale games decides to kill off an amazing character shortly after getting me attached to them.

    Yea,me neither.I really hope Kenny's alive though,but I have to be prepared.
AND CUT.A.BITCH,when Lilly will be back..
Hell to the naw I want HER back D:

Anyways,a loong time a day has ended with good news.

I love Kenny to bits, but I wouldn't say I hate Lilly. Looking back on it, even though she shot Doug / Carley, I can't feel anything but sadness over the whole situation. I mean, she had lost a lot, and her sanity had clearly taken a hit because of it. We may not have agreed, and I certainly don't regret leaving her on the side of the road, but I don't hate her. Probably wouldn't want her back in Season 2 though (but I wouldn't throw a fit if she was.)

The news about Kenny's fate makes me both nervous and excited (nervicited?) though. On the one hand, it could mean we see Kenny alive, but on the other, and knowing Telltale, a big part of me is terrified of seeing a zombie Kenny. I'd much rather never see him again then have to see that. I didn't cry during the game's ending (though I did come close,) but I think that might just do me in.

My own half-hope is actually that season 2 starts off with Kenny escaping whichever situation he was in (Christa or Ben) - with us playing him. We somehow get away, or are saved (perhaps by the second person on the hill, with Kenny being one of them?) and then we play Season 2 as Kenny. If they use a Season 1 character as the PC, Kenny is the obvious choice. We know he's capable of the 'bad' choices (as most of them in Season 1 were siding with Kenny anyway) but also that he isn't a bad man, so he has the potential for good too, depending on how you played him. (And I'll be honest - I wouldn't mind seeing the Kenny haters reaction to him being the PC, either. :P)

It would be even funnier seeing the reaction of the Lilly haters being forced to control Lilly as the season 2 protagonist. Lilly haters probably hate Lilly more than people dislike Kenny. I didn't like Kenny but I could tolerate him, I just avoided speaking to him more than I had to after he left me to die in the drugstore but from what I read about people’s feelings towards Lilly they would find it far harder to bare Lilly in their midst. As for me I could play the game quite comfortably if Kenny was the playable character I just think that it would be a cheap move on Telltale's part to bring him back just because he has a huge fan base. Seeing Kenny alive would shock me but for all the wrong reasons, it would shock me because my respect and expectations of telltale were high to begin with and that would lower my opinion somewhat.

Even if I disliked Lilly I would have less of a problem believing she survived than Kenny since she wasn't in direct danger when she was last seen but to be honest I would rather there was new characters in the group that Clementine joins or at least characters that weren't fleshed out as well as Kenny. Omid and Christa didn't get much screen time and we didn't get to know much about them. There was no down time so I would rather they returned or Molly than Kenny. Kenny returning would be like when tv shows bring back characters to do guest appearances to authenticate a show like Brenda Walsh in the new 90210 series. I don't think that is necessary for the walking dead. You could have a whole episode without Rick or a comic issue and it will still be the walking dead.

...wait, seriously? You'd lose respect for Telltale because they brought back a character whose death was already left on an ambiguous note (at least more so than any other character in the series)?

Now, if they had resurrected Carley out of sheer fan-service, I could see your point. The girl was shot through the damn head. The whole reason Telltale included that scene of Russell stumbling across Carley/Doug's corpse in the trench was probably to tell the fanbase, "She's dead, let it go."

If Kenny had been ripped asunder by walkers on-screen like Brie in episode 4, anything other than a cameo of Kenny showing up as another zombie would definitely be "fan-service". But we didn't even hear Kenny screaming in either scenario. We heard sounds of struggle, but no legitimate cries of agony. Right now, a lot of fans still think Kenny's fate could have gone either way, so let's wait and see what season 2 decides to do with him...
  • edited July 2013
Yeah I don't think Clementine should be the playable character but an active member of the new group, who doesn't need looking after but just guidance by the playable character.

If Telltale choose to have the playable character as someone who has already appeared and we know really well will most likely backfire.
