It would be funny for telltale to spoof themselves. Like, Sam and Max go to a studio that resembles telltale.
I think they did that already as well, in 205. Compare the trailer with the actual room environment.

Somehow, the first thing I thought about it was an adventure involving Superball, the cold-war and time travel.... in black in white.

    They should go to Slothmart.

I always wondered where one went to purchase bradypodidae...

Oh, that's not what you meant?

Maybe they should reek havoc in Gotham City. I'd love to see how the Joker handles Max.
  • edited July 2008
I bet they would become best friends.

Also I would LOVE to see them wrecking an entire mall^^

Bring back the World's Largest Ball of Twine! XDXD

 Ok Telltale Team, cancel everything else this one's first.

That is something even Sam & Max cannot solve.
  • edited August 2008
They should go see Max's relatives. Sorry if someone said that already but it'd be awesome.
  • edited August 2008
I personally any & all relatives of Max are just robots made to think he has relatives when in actuality he's a lab experiment.

Giant Ball of Twine!(tm) or Ken & Roberta's house.

    POSSIBLE SPOILERS HEREIN
So far we've had an old Theater, a TV studio, A casino\playland, the White House, a Tron-esque internet, and day spa on the surface of the moon - in Season 1.
Season 2 had The North Pole, Easter Island, A Stuttgart dance club\vampire castle, a time traveling Mariachi Spaceship, and an office complex in the bowels of Hell. These are all sort of the "Target Area" of the game. They're the places we have to get into to solve the mystery and defeat the bad guy(s).

So where does everybody want to go in Season 3 that hasn't been covered before?

I'll kick it off with a few of my own ideas:

1> A big stadium style rock concert, or maybe something like Woodstock. This would give Mr. Johnson an excellent chance to expand Sam & Max soundscape and we might get to see Sam sing once again.

2>Heaven, hey it's a natural progression after having gone to Hell, and you know the boys are going to have tough time getting in there.

3>A Game Company, perfect chance for a lot of 4th wall jokes and maybe a bit of homage to Reality 2.0. Maybe we could some light cycles?:D

4>A Raceway, with all the driving sequences we've had so far, entering the DeSoto in a stock car race could be fun.

    Anyway, have it, let's talk.

Underground? May overlap a bit with Hell, but personally, I'd like to see more of the Mole people.

A Convention (Like comic-con)? This would be hilarious!

    A University? Why not?

Their house, I guess. Though since it's only been shown once in the comics and once in the cartoon, there isn't really a design to base it off of.

Their house would make for a good change of home base for the Season.

    Airplane...

I think they just sorta live and sleep (if they sleep) in their office.

As for locations, I want Canada.
  • edited September 2008
They should discover, or just be in, an underground city.
  • edited September 2008
I would think this would be obvious, but Strong Mad's Room.

*Naturally, I think this because he says it will take a month to get all the bugs out or whatever. And, we all know that the games are released in Monthly Segments ;) Sneaky eh?*

    No, they have a house.
But only when it's convenient for the plot.

Ooh, maybe Atlantis, plenty of jabs at Indiana Jones there.:)

Canada's a good suggestion too, also a natural progression after Sybil's tenure as Queen. It might give them a chance to play out the revenge story idea the developers were talking about in the DVD commentary.

I really would like the return of odd locations, just like the biggest ball of wool, or the swimming pool of fuel, well, you know, those things that reminds us that not only the people and Sam&Max are crazy, but the world they live into is ^^
Like a museum of something ridiculous, museum of ice sculptures but all melted, which would bring us hilarious comments ^^

That applies for quite a bit in that universe

I think the rock concert idea is fantastic. I'd also like to see an episode taking place in outer space. Sure, we already were on the moon and in a spaceship, but neither episode really developed the space setting. "Bright Side of the Moon" was more concerned about Prismatology and being a season finale, while "Chariots of the Dogs" was all about time travel.

An episode featuring ancient Greece or Rome would be cool, too. And a real detective story - complete with murder, several suspects and so on. Maybe a film noir parody.

    Wrooonnggggg gaaaaaammmme.

I want to see S&M's house, too.

They should tear down a cathedral.

I like the film noir parody idea, Flint would fit in perfectly, and the idea of investigating a murder as part of the plot.

The ancient Greece\Rome idea is cool too, particularly if it's "drawn without reference material, apparently". Something to go along with that, what about an episode that parodies movies like the LOTR and Conan serieses, with plentiful jabs at WoW and Everquest?

How about a puppy mill? It would be interesting to see how they would deal with Sam in that situation..., possibly make it a situation where you control Max because Sam can't mentally handle the place.

I keep thinking like a flour mill. They grind up little puppies into a fine powder suitable for baking...

Already said this in another thread, but their seldom-seen house would be nice.

The 1950s. (thinking: Flint Paper Sr., the Desoto is young again, the noir decade)

Oh and I'll second airplane (along with tour bus and train), it would be interesting to have a mobile level.

Edit: And on another note, do we have two of the exact same topic now? *deja vu*

i would love a Flint Paper spinoff episode with more brute force and pummeling :)
