I've just started Star Fox Adventures. I've played it a few times before, but I really enjoy it, and I lost the save file for it when my GameCube memory card died in the weirdest way I've ever heard of. Basically it could be read from but not saved to, and about half the save files went corrupt. Thankfully, I didn't lose my most precious save: The Wind Waker with all of the figurines collected. I NEVER want to do that again.
I gave SFA to my nephews. It's a decent game, but I feel was too targeted to kids. I'd rather play Zelda.
I did recently completed a 1st quest (green tunic) playthrough of Wind Waker, and took all but two pics that I needed (Tetra & Kogoli) to use in completing the figurine set. Knuckle doesn't count cuz I don't have a GBA. I was annoyed at missing those two, especially after learning that it is indeed possible to get all figurines on the first playthrough, but I'll get the rest when I decide to beat it again with blue-shirt Link.
Also, once upon a time I damaged a GCN memory card that I had [actually, it was the one that came with my Action Replay (which is like a GameShark/Game Genie)]. But anyway, there was a bug that got in my house and was crawling on the floor, so I picked up my shoe to kill it... I swatted at it about the time it decided to climb onto my GameCube, and I hit the memory card on accident. My wife was mad because her savegame of LOTR: The Third Age was on that card, and she was really close to beating it.
SFA's one of my favorite games for the GameCube. Not above Zelda or Metroid, but certainly above the majority of the titles I own for it. Also, this seems like an appropriate time to mention that I've never parted with any game I've owned.
I did the figurine quest once and I don't think I ever want to do it again. I'd heard it was possible to get them all on the first try, but I've never seen a guide that explains how to do it. I was under the impression that there's too many things you have to take pictures of before you get the color pictograph box. Which two did you miss?
And surprisingly enough, my bricked memory card was (like all of my memory cards) first-party. I usually hear of failures like this with third-party ones. Well, not exactly failures like this. I've never heard of a failure quite like this one.
Sam & Max Save the World - Episode 1: Culture Shock (PC)
Star Wars: Battlefront II (PC)
Penny Arcade Adventures - On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One (PC)

Nope. The only (seemingly at the time) one-shot color photos you have to miss on the first playthrough before you get the Deluxe Pictobox are bosses. I always thought that since Carlov only takes color photos (except the legendary ones you buy,) that taking pictures of repeated bosses in Ganon's Tower doesn't count because the whole room is black and white. Turns out that's not the case (which I can personally confirm.) I wouldn't have bothered to try, if not for this pictograph list at GameFAQs.
Tetra, which gives all her pirate crew in one set (can only be pic'd first-quest when taking her to Hyrule)
Kogoli (disappears from Dragon Roost after you complete the Earth Temple)

I had a third-party memory card for my PSX that had multiple pages (ie. it's one card with multiple cards worth of storage space.) One day, I turned on my PSX and every page on the card but page one was was completely blank. I went to Software Etc., and the guy there said that third-party cards have problems "leaking" when you take the card out of the console when the power is still on, while first-party cards are guaranteed by the console maker to not have problems.
I'll never buy a third-party memory card ever again. Also, I've had my share of third-party PSX controllers breaking their dualshock or having the paint on the buttons wear off, so I refuse to buy third-party controllers either, even if first-party stuff is more expensive.
GeoDefense, the additional six levels. I can't believe that i payed $1 for just six simple layed out levels but a part of me wanted to know how i would feel afterwards.
I recently finished Assassin's Creed (it's been in my backlog of Steam games for almost a year), and it was completely awesome but I was miffed at the cliffhanger ending. So I borrowed my brother's Xbox and rented AC2 and I'm working on that now. I thought the reviews I'd read were being hyperbolic when they said it was better than AC1 in every way, but it really is!
I like being able to throw money and distract the minstrels, although today I accidentally punched one and he dropped his lute and I felt bad.
I never felt bad for hurting the minstrels. They're assholes.
Yep.... but at least they aren't as bad as the beggers in the first game. I can't count how many times I got a game over from killing those asshats
As for games I'm playing... Borderlands & The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (modded) for the PC. I'm just not in the mood for the typical brand of console game that I normally play, so I just said screw it & bought a couple of PC games.
You enjoy the greatest game ever made, so you are quite alright in my book.
I had it for the original Xbox a while back, but I really wanted it for the PC simply because I thought you would install it & no longer need the disc (unfortunately this isn't true) & the fact that there are a crap ton of awesome mods out there (both graphical & gameplay wise... which are still being made & supported to this day). I love Oblivion.... but Morrowind just completely owns it.
See, I did the smart thing this time and I got Big over with as soon as I was done playing as Sonic. It was an incredibly frustrating couple of hours, but now it's over and I can enjoy the rest of my game. I did get better at catching Froggy as I went, but it was still so incredibly annoying.
How did you beat the first Big level, It's way too glitchy
Yeah, that was the worst one of all. It took me like 15 minutes. I just kept jumping in the water to find Froggy and then getting out and casting in that general direction.

Prince of Persia (2008)
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands (much better)
I never could beat DX, I blame Big the CAt for that.
Aw, but they just want to sing you a song.
