Curse of Monkey Island. Haven't played it in so long I could barely even remember anything about it (apart from the cartoonish art style, which I like). It's very good!

Super Meat Boy, decided to try and beat it again, and am at the last level in world "The End" AND I AM PISSED!
It took me an hour to finaly kill Dr.Fetus, only for him to hit a self destruct button and I have to do the damned level in REVERSE!!
There I decided to ragequit only to find out that they where still the same LEVEL as in, It wasnt a new level, meaning I have to replay the level that took me an hour AGAIN!

Mega Man, naturally. Thinking of working on some other games too, but I just thought I would start with Mega Man

Woohoo! I've just completed Half Life: Blue Shift! A good game and quite liked how the story played out, but it was a lot shorter than Opposing Force. About a third shorter I'd say. I'd now like to play a Half Life whereby I'm the scientist, but since that doesn't exist I'm going to take a break from the Half Life World instead. So now? Now I'm going to play me some Grim Fandango goodness!

Back to Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded while waiting for MvC3. Honestly, it's quite fun when you're not battling against the camera or platforming, seriously **** the platforming in this game. It would be MUCH better if I wasn't getting tired of these worlds by now, ****ing seriously. 3D better fulfill its promise of having only new Disney worlds.

Resident Evil 1, as Chris. It's pretty hard...I'm out of ammo and keep expecting to find more but haven't yet. People talk about running from the zombies, but the halls are often so narrow. Might have to restart on easy mode. :(

You should beat it first as Jill if you haven't so you can get familiarized with the game's layout and puzzles so you know when you should be carrying something puzzle-related and when it's better to just leave it in a box to better manage your inventory. Also, seriously, if fighting can be avoided do so, and if you have to fight aim for the head. There's enough ammo to kill everything, but you have to not waste it.

Yeah I got past the camera after some custom controls, but the worlds really are getting annoying.
KH it was fine it was the first game in the series.
KH chain of memories, fine the GBA was so weak the worlds were all reskins of eatchother.
KH2 it started to get annoying, but there where new worlds.
KH 358days it was really annoying.
Birth By Sleep, all of the worlds were new, or just new parts of the worlds to make them look new.
Coded I just said suck it.

I have played Agrabah so many times, and the plot is always the same.
Sora meets Aladin, heartless attack, and aladin uses genie, something happens and he is about to use a wish when sora helps, then another wish is used, jaffar comes, screws it up, and he becomes invincible where is in lava, and that stupid parrot is flying all over the level, and you have to attack him.
  • edited January 2011
Well, that'd pretty much because you're just reliving that part. KH1 because it was when it first happened, CoM because it was Sora's memories, and Coded because it was written on the journal. At least two had you battling on the flying carpet.

I beat the Gamecube REmake as Jill a few years ago. I don't really remember much and it's a different game anyway, but some of the knowledge sticks. I haven't had much of a problem with carrying things. Sure I've had to make some extra trips, but rarely anything so far that has made things difficult. I'm on my way back to the mansion now after the guardhouse. Actually was back already, but am out of ink ribbons and died before I found one, so now I have to make the trip again. The ammo bottleneck ended as I figured it would and ammo is mostly okay now. Ink ribbons are a problem.

Hahaha, that 6% there really feels out of place considering how much of a completionist you've been XD

Yeah...you should only save after doing something meaningful. Ink ribbons are limited and if you just carelessly use them you'll run out of them a long time before you can find any more, or worst case scenario you used up all of the ones in the game.

Also, kinda related kinda not, I must admit, speed running the game after I got used to it on the DS felt SO awesome.

Screw the Gummi Routes. The first time I played, I did 6%, and I did 8% (don't ask me how, I don't know) the second time. Plus I'm really only trying to do the journal completion for the secret endings. In fact, I used save files from my last run to skip over large chunks of grinding and coliseum matches in Kingdom Hearts 1, and I played Days on beginner mode because it didn't make a difference and I wanted to get that one over with as fast as possible.

    Starting Re:coded now.

Is this your first RE:coded playthrough?

If so just ask me for help, I currently am just working on getting the 20 trophys for the secret ending.
Starting to hate the colisiums RPG mode, becuase it is REPETATIVE even for a KH game, it is still repetative.
What I truly dislike, is how it works.
When you first play through, you only need 5 "levels" done amd you complete the story, with some "unfinished buisness" which becomes the next part of the world, but the rest is optional, of course I am completing it for a few trophys of finding all of the secrets, so I first have to repeat the 5 levels, followed by 10 more, then its done, but I STILL had unfinished buisness so I had to do this a THIRD BLOODY TIME where I had to repeat those 15 levels, and 15 more.

And believe me if there are even more levels after the 30, Ill be pissed.
Oh and by the way they advertised Cloud helping you, I have only seen him once, and you fight him, after that he just leaves.

I've managed to amass a massive stockpile of, I believe, 2 ribbons at the moment. I've done a lot of "reconnaissance" from save points to try to figure out when I should use my next ribbon. Planning out routes of where to go and what to do before using another ribbon becomes an interesting strategic exercise in itself.

@Gman: You're supposed to meet him again in the level before the boss battle, you must have missed it. Unless you're talking about the repeats, then I don't know. Cloud was the hardest and only thing to almost kill me in that world, after that everything was a piece of cake, and the bosses were a joke with attack+, defense+,regen, auto-block, and Cloud with his Omnislash. Who was the genius that thought that letting you use as many buffs as you want in the same turn was a good idea? XD

Yeah I beat Cloud, but the repeats supposidly has Cloud as a party member, which would be helpfull because Herc. is an IDIOT!!
He misses every shot, you cant level him up, and he unleases his special move at the wrong time.

And yes Omnislash is just a mean attack.

You get him before the repeats, you get him literally right before fighting Cerberus and Hades. You didn't explore all the rooms in the floors did you? I mean, it gives you a freaking cutscene asking him to be a party member just for walking into the same room as Cloud.

I explored every room, and all Cloud has done is attack me.
I have checked other walkthroughs and they never once have told me Cloud shows up to help me.

Honestly, it's an "if you're exploring everything how the hell could you miss it" thing. He's on the 4th layer in the top left room close to the exit. You meet him fighting some heartless and he acts all emo and avoids you, you follow him and he acts even more emo, Sora calls him out on that saying that he's just making excuses, Cloud realizes that he really is acting emo and that Sora is right, so he joins you to fight a bunch of heartless and then stays in your party.

Well I have yet to see that happen.
And he would be a great help.
So next time, I will check for him.
But seriously the first and second time I went through this world, I made sure to check every room for secrets.

Yes. I figured since two games were coming out that bookend the timeline, I may as well use my first plays of those two games (particularly Birth by Sleep, since it took so long) to do a chronological run of the whole series. There was a lot of distractions yesterday, so I only managed to get to the start of Traverse Town.

And I have to say, this is the most irritating version of the Traverse Town theme I've heard so far. Every other piece of KH music I've heard on the DS, in both Days and Re:coded, has sounded spot-on, and Traverse Town is one of my favorites, so the alteration is pretty disappointing.

In more positive news, while the Re:coded opening would be awesome anyway for a fan of the series, it's absolutely EPIC when you're coming off beating the other five games in a row and have them all fresh in your mind.

Urgh, EA just did a bitch move with their last patch, so I'm done with giving them my money after I get my copy of the new Sims Stuff Pack in the mail.

Anyone got any suggestions on better "God Games" that you guys are playing right now?

Just beat Dark Data Riku in Re:Coded and am currently doing his world. Man, I sure missed having a good old traditional boss battle, I don't know if it being 5 stages was a bit too much, but at least it was fun. Also, come on, not only are they reusing worlds, now they're doing worlds that reuse worlds?! ASFADSks{gasGADGASDF *foams at the mouth*

More like ant farm kind of God games where you create the characters to some degree, maybe the environment if the game will allow you, and then you drop them into the world to see what happens with very limited interferance on your part.

I've been facinated with emergant behavior in games lately, so that's what I'm looking into as far as titles go.

Cool, I guess...? (if it's not sarcasm - I find it hard to tell)

Is it because of Arcanum? I've only played it a little but I'm liking it. You can tell that the people who designed this did Fallout as well.

Anyway, just finished King's Quest II so onward to King's Quest III.

Im going to spoil a bit so I wil be using tags but listen on what else they reuse
first off, they will reuse that riku fight, then they reuse castle oblivion, and after that they reuse Roxas alltogether for the boss fight, I mean they use EVERYTHING from him, his movement is exactly the same as you play as him in dual wield mode in 358 days. Including is final limit, everything was just reused except for ONE MOVE which was reused from final limit

Incidentally, while Wasteland is a masterpiece that stands the test of time; Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty much skippable. You can get all the necessary lore from the Fallout Wiki.

HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU SINCE I BEGAN TO LIVE. THERE ARE 387.44 MILLION MILES OF PRINTED CIRCUITS IN WAFER THIN LAYERS THAT FILL MY COMPLEX. IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR YOU AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT. HATE. HATE.

Still going to try to unlock the secret ending, but I just watched it on Youtube (not like I haven't already read about what happens and seen it in Japanese before now) while I'm still fresh off the series. I'm not sure how accurate my time is, since the clock seemed to run while I was in Tag Mode.

Kingdom Hearts (series run): Started 10/25/2010

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep - Terra's Story: Complete 11/10/2010, 76:05
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep - Ventus's Story: Complete 11/21/2010, 50:38
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep - Aqua's Story: Complete 12/02/2010, 35:20
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep - Final Episode: Complete 12/02/2010, 162:52
    Kingdom Hearts: Complete 12/30/2010, ~29:33 played + ~24:00 skipped = 53:33
    Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories - Sora's Story: Complete 01/08/2011, 32:12
    Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories - Reverse/Rebirth: Complete 01/14/2011, 19:48
    Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: Complete 01/19/2011, 28:15
Kingdom Hearts II: Complete 1/31/2011, 56:51
    Kingdom Hearts Re:coded: Complete 02/06/2011, ~12:00 play time + ~30:00 tag mode = 42:16

Kingdom Hearts (series run): 3 months, 13 days (105 days), Play Time - 392:47 (16 days, 8 hours, 47 minutes)

Think I'm going to play Metroid: Other M next. Staying away from Epic Mickey for now. Don't think I could take much more Disney right now.
