...Okay, you've talked me into it. Psychonauts has moved way up my list now. I think I'm still going for Zelda II next, but I think Psychonauts will be right behind it.
For the second time, I'm walking a friend through Majora's Mask and they can't remember the songs. So I did what I did for the last friend I did this with:
[whiteboard list of ocarina songs]
Why? Aren't they all listed on your pause menu screen once you learn them? As I recall, you can even select each one and have the game play it for you so you can hear what it sounds like.
This is true, but the whiteboard is more convenient. I've been through this with another person, and we tried it both ways. This works better.
Also, that red number in the picture is her Bomber's Hideout password. And that blue residue below the songs used to be the order for shooting the masks in the Oceanside Spider House to get a piece of heart.
Just started playing the open beta of APB Reloaded with some friends, an ok fun game but I am not really a fan of shooters where you fight other online people, and I never really liked the GTA games.
Anybody have a problem with the ending to L.A. Noire? I've heard a lot of angry rumblings around. I finished it and honestly, I kind of saw it coming and didn't overly mind it.
Sure it wasn't a blaze of glory death like some games and they left it open for a twist sequel. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but considering you never see the body, who is speaking at the funeral, the repeated mentions of "second chances". Too many things are "off".
Hey, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and would play another if they made one.
Saw The Witcher 2 at my friends house and am now on a mission to finally finish the first one so I can play part 2. I have to say it gave me some reservations for awhile but now that I'm deep into the game (about 60 percent) I'm just obsessed. It's kinda quirky sometimes but the awesomeness comes in pretty steady doses.
Aside from that I've been on a text adventure binge. I just played Zork I & 2 (with a map) and of course Hitchhiker's and am on Planetfall right now (Bad-ass so far) I don't know why I never had the patience for these much before now, but again I'm getting obsessed....please someone give me a good recommendation here I would love to try any text adventure that you can think of (infocom or otherwise..I've mostly played infocom so far though)

Can you give updates about how you're doing with different games and whether or not you're looking up hints, maps, walkthroughs, etc.?

I'm using a map (one that doesn't show where all the items are) so far. Although I did have a friend tell me the "ultimate objective" of the game, so I knew about the theif and the gathering of the treasures. The first Zork I had to start over at least 3 times, the last of which I was right near the end and had most of the treasures. (My lantern finally went out and I had put the torch in the case, so I got stuck in the dark) Last run through I screwed up the plastic boat by popping it with my sword, so I missed out on a couple treasures anyway. I cheated bad in that @$&#ing mineshaft, and also got a sort of vague hint about the dam/loud room that helped me there too.
Hitchhikers was kind of a cheat frenzy to be honest. To many obscure things like "enjoy poetry." I played a big portion of it without cheating though, while on the Heart of Gold I held my own for awhile. I had this game as a kid and actually spent an entire summer basically figuring out how to get the damn babel fish so I actually remembered that part fairly well (of course that was as far as I got as a kid, and I even think my cousin was helping me a lot)
Right now I'm on Planetfall, haven't cheated yet but this one seems a little more straight forward so far. I'm not that far yet though.

Keep us updated, I'd like to know which games are more reasonable to play without walkthroughs.
I thought the Babel Fish puzzle was one of the easier adventure game puzzles around. Very straightforward.
I just loved the fact we both pulled an Ultra of at virtually the same time, and its the first time I have ever seen two Metsu Hadokens both collide with each other and cancel each other out, but still manage to hit both of us. XD

Wait I thought it only hit me. Yeah, if the fireballs weren't so relatively small in the game that would've been some DBZ shit right there XD
Once again it falls to me to kick this thread kicking and screaming back onto topic. Seriously, I don't know why they don't just make me a mod and be done with it. We all know I'm the most powerful person around here anyway. I am a Sith Lord and all.
Currently going through Borderlands (though as I'm playing it single player my interest is starting to taper and I'm not even at level 15 yet), Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard (which I've just started but seems fun, even if the dialogue in cutscenes has a bad habit of going out of synch) and Heroes on the Move (I refuse to call it PSMove Heroes because that's a really clunky and just plain stoopid name - but it's OK, nothing great and you could replace the main characters with stuffed chickens and lose practically zilch).
I'm not playing it righ tnow, but I am keepign an eye on THe Sims 3 right now because, heh, EA just released another broken Expansion Pack. I really wish this franchise would just end, so I can get the mods I need from that one user that's doing all of EA's debugging for them.

Currently, I'm playing Majora's Mask, another game I've never finished. I don't finish probably 80% of the games I've started. Maybe more.

EDIT: Yes. here it is:

Very good fighter.
Probably more suited for the 3DS than Super Street Fighter 4.
Love Hitomi.
Alrighty then.

Though I warn you, If you fight me at this time, I won't be at my best.
(it is 3:15 in the morning here! XD (I sleep late these days))
Oh, didn't think you'd reply that fast. Anyways, do you have 3D on or off (not just the slider)?

Agreed.
Ah, that thread. Good times.
That Ryu match we had was just epically funny.

Agreeched. It's like agreed, but with my meddling.
Yours didn't have that bodacious Winslow, so no.
The thread that shall not be named?
Whatever's on your mind?
I think he meant the thread about video game crushes.
Yeah, but no one goes there anymore, so their bickering wouldn't be seen. We all know they enjoy the theatre aspect of it all.
Ah yes, I do know the theater aspect. It's the best kind of aspect and should be well enjoyed by everyone. Hence, banter.
Ah, yes; banter. How I missed thee, banter.
Banter is what makes the...forums...go...'round...
I was totally going somewhere with that, I swear. It sounded awesome in my head.
