Heeeeeeey, I thought we were waiting until Josh managed to talk Chris into getting it so the four of us could play together!
Well, I wanted to test out my computer, and if we wait for Chris, we'll be waiting for a very long time. Chris already has the game, I think, but he doesn't have a computer that can run it.
...On the other hand, I'm sure a little practice couldn't hurt.

Well, if you don't mind me dropping out every once and awhile and killing everyone we could try a three person game. I'll only be in the same location as my computer for the rest of the summer (before I go back to school), so if we're going to make it through the game, we should start soon.
Also, there is a possibility that I could get my brother to join us. Or one of his friends who have the game.
Very interesting concept and has a nice playful humour to it.
Its not a RPG really, its a puzzle game.
Its all about figuring out the ideal/most efficient path to beating the boss in 30 seconds.
Though that timer stops in towns, and can be reset by praying and paying gold at the godess statues.
Boring, full of bugs - and that "story" which supposedly makes it so great? It's essentially Star Wars minus the good stuff. I've known the only good stuff in that game for years now, and that is the music.
Stacking. Decent. It's lame to me that there are so many possible solutions to each problem (3-5 generally) because that means there will always be 1-2 that are very easy. To me, finding new ways to solve the same problem is mostly uninteresting. Once it's solved, it's solved. Maybe forcing you to find several solutions (by, for example, having your first solution not work no matter what) would help. Or of course having just 1 or 2 possible solutions that are more complex. Perhaps it changes later in the game, I'm about 25% in.
It is good that somebody is innovating the genre though, and using 3D with a fully rotatable camera.
Trine, possibly the most fun I've ever had with a platforming game. I'll probably write some sort of review of it after I'm finished in the hopes of enticing people to play the game so that I can play the multiplayer.
I spent last evening playing AaAaAA!!! A Reckless Disgregard For Gravity. It was difficult as all hell, it was unforgiving, but it started to grow on me as I started to suck less at it.
Mysteries of the Sith mods and a bunch of recently discovered Half-Life mods. I'm about to try going through The Gate again. Wish me luck - I have very bad memories of this one.
On consoles (slowly, but gradually): Heroes on the Move (still calling it that), Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 (need to actually watch the fourth film before I play the game) and FEAR Files (which is f**king impossible on hard mode).
Now playing:
Portal 2 (PC) - After completing the single player campaign, I'm playing with the developers comentaries, and I'm gonna start soon the co-op campaign.
LEGO Star Wars: The complete Saga (PC)
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (3DS)
Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC/Steam)
Dragon Quest VIII (PS2)
Just Cause 2 (PC/Steam)
A few tips I have for others playing Just Cause 2:
1) There exists a resource locator in the top left corner of your minimap. When you are relatively close to a pickup item, it will appear with one to four bars, depending on how close you are to the item. At four bars, the nearest item(s) locations will be marked on the screen. I played this game for quite a while before realizing this feature existed and learning how easy it really is to find items- as the locator makes it less hide-and-seek but more hot-or-cold when finding things.
2) Helicopters are better transportation than planes. Granted, a plane can get you somewhere faster, but a helicopter is more maneuverable and easier to control (not to mention, shooting things from a plane is insanely difficult.)
3) Start exploring the map early. Use a helicopter to fly low over the yellow dots on the map, and discover as many locations as you feel necessary early on. At some point in the game, you gain the ability to parachute drop on to locations you've already discovered, which makes it less annoying if you die and spawn halfway across the island from where you need to go.
Currently in that long lull between major video game releases that happens every year. I believe the hippies called it, "summer". I have been checking out some games' replay value from the past year or so. Mafia II seems to be the winner right now.
Finally got around to L.A. Noire. I was really drawn to the game but I was always too busy to find the time to actually play it. The gameplay is what really intrigues me: trying to figure out if someone's telling the truth or not, driving around and simply just investigating the crime scene.

To me, it is THE game to beat for game of the year. Collecting more newspapers give you a bit more overall story. Collecting more evidence will give you more case specific knowledge. No, you can't "lose", as many people negatively pointed out. However, the better you play the game, the better the game becomes. The console DLC is especially great and unique as those cases are automatically added to the main story and you do not need to select them separately when playing through additional times.
Man that game is so fun!
(And very cheap for what you get too!)
I've died 3 times.
And I haven't even got past the 1st floor yet! XD
Funny thing is my first character, Rage, died amost instantly and only got 81 points.
My second, Rage the Second, got to just over 1000 points before succumbing to death's cold embrace.
My third was much, much better!
Rage the 3rd almost cleared the entire floor, and was doing sidequests before moving on.
Unfortunately he summoned the demon from the eye altar as part of one of them, which quickly killed him before he could get a chance to use his elixir.
He scored over 8000 points!
Hopefully Rage the 4th can fare better!
(I've kept the exact same skill choices all the way through, though if he can't get any further, maybe Rage the 5th may change one of his skills!)

Exactly. The newspapers and evidence is definitely one of my favorite aspects of the game. I honestly couldn't care less about the linear pattern; the game takes advantage of what it's given and offers the player as much as it can during the story and cases. It's quickly becoming a fast favorite of mine.
I've been playing "Assassin's Creed 2" again; got this hard murder contract where I have to kill 10 brutes in 60 seconds. Tried several times but the most I got was 5, and that's including the 2 automatic kills when I jump down on them from a nearby roof. They always block my attacks, and when I try to counter another guy than the one I'm targetting hits me and I can't turn around quickly enough. I guess this one needs a different strategy.
I remember that. I tried a few times and gave up I know that isn't really helpful. It was the only thing I couldn't do, so I'd call it the hardest part in the game.
Finished up most of the Portal 2 multiplayer achievements with Dashing last night, then helped him out with his last three single player ones. Now I only have two achievements left, and I'll get them as soon as I finish playing the tutorial with someone who's never played before, then give them a hug. I just need to find someone who hasn't played multiplayer yet.
Now I'm probably going to play Fallout, Fallout: New Vegas, or Zelda II.
Now I'm probably going to play Fallout, Fallout: New Vegas, or Zelda II.
You should play Fallout! Since that's the only one of those games that I've actually played. Well, I own Fallout: New Vegas, but I'm too busy practicing my speed reading to do much else.
My Snes/N64/Gamecube (they all have the same port on them) S-Video cable arrived today!
Can only use it on the downstairs TV though, (my newer Bravia TV doesn't have a S-Video port unfortunately), and the results are just amazing.
There is slight ghosting, and a little wobble, but the picture is so much clearer, crisper and more colourful.
Yoshi's Island just looks FANTASTIC on it.
I had to set my TV to 14:9 mode, since in widescreen it stretches the image quite a bit, (but still has black bars), but this mode gives me a lovely large square image!
Also will come in handy when capturing video on it, as my capture card does S-Video as well.
So I've been playing all my favourites, a bit of Pilotwings, some Super Mario World, some Super Punchout.
Played Super Smash TV the most though!
Man is that game awesome!
Apart from the extreme difficulty its almost perfect.
I got much further than I normally do, which was pretty exciting.
I actually got to the Second boss, but I only had 3 lives left (no continues! Arrgh!), and he easily killed me.
I got Puyo Pop Fever for the DS in the post today, which I am going to play the hell out of.

GETALOADOFTHIS!!
Seriously, these games are almost like an entry level drug. Next thing I know, I'm gonna be buying Fallout 3! I already bought Fallout: New Vegas...

Even on easy, Starfox is pretty challenging, (at the end).
Going to see if I can tackle the other 2 difficulties tomorrow.
(Maybe play some more Snes cables)
God I hope my S-video cable arrives tomorrow!

AHAW!
AHAW HAW HAW HAW HAAAAAAAWWWWWW.
I'm really playing it. I'm really playing Megaman Legends 3....
AND IT'S SO...
GOOOOOOOOOOOD.
So...good.
>tears falls from my eyes
Its official. Secret Fawful has finally seperated himself from the tiny tether of sanity that has kept him within the normal restraints of reality.
It's funny because the image you chose clearly represents my own reaction.
I was going to wait until the 5th try to change a skill, but I decided to switch one for the 4th playthrough.
Rage the 4th has given up axe specialisation (still has sword though), for blacksmithing.
Very handy as I can collect and create metals to craft weapons and armour on the fly.
Rage the 4th has completed the first floor now, and tomorrow, he shall try to tackle the great unknown!!
