*Sigh* My game's not working either...it comes up with the "error undefined" message like everyone else in the launcher...and then when I try and launch the game it crashes.
I am getting that internet explorer error as well. I ignore it, but there are no menu options to choose from or anything, I just have a grey box and the telltale logo on top but no start options.
This is a screenshot of the screen. Nothing appears except this:
It took all day to finally come out, and I still haven't received my email telling me it's out, along with my code (which I intend to turn into a gift code so I can send my best friend the first episode of Monkey Island) for my free Telltale episode.
Well, I've downloaded and installed the thing, so I guess once my computer's done with its latest spyware/virus-scanner sweep I'll start playing episode 1.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks for the help, and sorry to bother.
There's something more fundamentally the matter here, I fear, you're missing all of your textures!
Try clicking randomly to either side of "Gameplay settings".

hmmmmm I get a whole background, too, with a board and everything, the arrow for the graphic settings is next to the words "Gameplay settings" on the right, maybe klick on the spot next to it and the options will change?
Though the picture is not only what you should bee seeing in the setting section...at least I can se more than that.

All right, I found it and managed to get it to the graphics settings page. I assume I'm supposed to be clicking around "quality" and there are spots where the "X" changes to indicate a button, but clicking them doesn't get me anywhere, so I'm guessing at this point I need to contact tech support or somesuch?

First make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date. What graphics card are you using? When did you last update the drivers?
Heh, I actually have no idea. It's been a while...well, that's probably the problem then. Let's see if I can figure that out...
Don't pin your hopes on it, because it's not been a solution for some other people with the same problem! It just helps narrow down the possibilities .

Seems likely though. Looks like I have a "Plug and Play Monitor on Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller" which, according to the Intel site, has been discontinued. I think the only thing I'm going to pin my hopes on now is the wii version.
Thanks for your help though! I really appreciate you trying to help me through this. Seriously, you didn't have to and it's awesome.

I'm having exactly the same problems you are...Only nothing even shows that it's changed when I try to click around in the settings, aside from switching to the page of graphic settings.
I'm rather jealous of all those people who can properly enjoy theirs
Yeah mine brings up the menu now, I click launch game and it looks like it's launching. Then windows says that the program stopped working for some strange reason
Mine works fine, but it was slow as heck. Thanks to everyone here, I knew to knock the settings down to 2 and it works fine except on the boats with all the movement it still was a bit fuzzy, but after that it's been golden.
Just finished it.
Awesome work, guys. I didn't think that you'd quite captured the spirit of the originals during the first 15 minutes, but you quickly changed my mind with some awesome sequences.
Eagerly awaiting the next episode, and the final episode of W&G.
Wooo that was an amazing episode. Finished it about 30 minutes ago, it provided me 5 hours of gameplay. The episode was amazing! keep up the greatness and the monkey island series will keep its amazing quality. I was able to run it very smooth and easily with the second highest resolution, and quality level 9. I turned off the hint system completely. The puzzles are challenging and do take a while, but are not so hard that you spend hours on a single puzzle. Very nice episode. Looking forward to the next one.
yeah they are already on ''1'' from the beginning. i can't even change that.
i have a GF4 TI4800 SE /128 MB... could that be the problem (i already updated the driver)
its 1 20 am here and im having the same problem as dragonsong... i waited all day to play this then downloaded for an hour and now i cant play.. needless to say im pissed but does ne one know a number to reach telltale to ask wats wrong?
Well, I just completed this first episode and well...it was ok. I would have enjoyed it better if not for two sections I had problems with:
1. The bit with the chair in the Doctor's Office. I got royally stuck there for about 10 minutes because I didn't realize you could use Up and Down (W and S) to change the orientation of the table. Once I caught on to that, the puzzle was a snap. I would have appreciated a line from Guybrush or something after a while that would have noted that you could do more than just rotate the chair.
2. The "treasure hunts" - Look, I know most of us are probably big fans of Zelda, but the forest maze in Zelda 1 was a dumb idea when that game came out and over 25 years hasn't made it any better. I wouldn't have minded it so much, but often I'd pick the wrong direction simply by virtue of wandering too far in a general direction on-screen, "moving on" before I was really ready (I was just listening for the sounds). The part with the wind later on with the second "hunt" was particularly annoying, since there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to why a certain direction was the right one (even when I was trying to pick it by the direction the wind was blowing). And when you screw up, you have to start the whole bloody thing over again.
Also, was there any reason why you have to go repeatedly into your menu, select to examine your maps, and then select the maps to look at them? I got rather used to just being able to click an icon on-screen to see my maps in Wallace & Grommit. This way of doing it is about 2-3 steps too many for something you have to repeatedly examine. I also miss true point & click control, not this wonky "hold & drag" mouse control. Accessing the inventory's a bit obnoxious with mouse controls as well, so I ended up just Tab-ing it everytime I needed to use it. I ended up just using the keyboard simply because it works better.
Overall, I enjoyed the game and am really looking forward to the next installment, but I really hope some of these issues get fixed in future installments.

I had that happen too...I just closed it out and tried reopening it and it suceeded in at least bringing up the proper menu
Yeah...I'm trying to keep myself from being too negative about it all, but it's kind of depressing...
But it all worked wonderfully well on my system and the game looked great.
