    I have it already. It's hecka fun, at least based on the Xbox 360 version. You should defs get it if you already haven't on any other console, otherwise, I don't really think it's worth the extra money. You really do need to use a controller to enjoy this game.

    And I just bought Hate Plus, because I didn't need to feel happy any time soon.

    Today's Two-Day Deal is 75% off...

    There's also some week-long deals, none of which are particularly amazing. So here they are.

    Ghost Master® looks a bit like the upcoming Wayward Manor, only less visually appealing and without the writing of Neil Gaiman. I'm slightly interested in it, but I can't decide. It's pretty cheap.

    Cargo Commander also looks cool in my opinion. I keep thinking that I own it, but I think I'm always confusing it with Rochard for some reason.

    My god this game is old. But still I remember loving it back in the day. It's a anti sims game. You try to scare a group of people out of a place, collect new ghosts by solving puzzles etc.

    Let me check if it runs on Win 7 64 bit before recommending it though.

    Sounds interesting.

    Thanks, that would be great.

    In case Steam version doesn't, Ghost Master is also on GoG fyi.
  • edited August 2013
    Works fine on Win 7 64 Bit, 5:4 resolution.
  • edited August 2013
    Thanks for checking. Bought along with Cargo Commander.

    You Need a Budget is one of the Midweek Madness deals. I wonder if point one on the software is "Stop buying stuff on Steam sales".
  • edited August 2013
    It's to keep your finances in check. It still means you'd have to manually enter your expenses and income.

    and it's so hard to do that on a spreadsheet I guess.

    ShinyLoot.com is out of beta and is celebrating with a launch sale on over 300 games, of which 26 are redeemable on Steam. During the sales there will also be daily and weekly sales, which I assume are reduced even more in price.

    The current daily and weekly deals with Steam keys are Fortix 2, Waveform, Anodyne (both regular and Deluxe Edition) and Hinterland.
  • edited August 2013
    You got the link for Weekly Deals wrong - here's the right link.

    Although they're not on Steam, I can heartily recommend Doom and Destiny and The Perfidious Petrol Station. Also, the Mystery Masters bundle, but that's a bit of a stretch (the Black Mirror's aren't that amazing).
  • edited August 2013
    Indeed. Fixed it now.

    I'll look into those.

    The Weekend Deals are...

    spotlight_image_english.png spotlight_image_english.png

    Natural Selection is also free-to-play all weekend.

    Finally, in celebration of Steam Greenlight's One-Year Anniversary (has it been that long already?), a bunch of games that were green-lit are on sale. Here's the list.
  • edited August 2013
    The weekend deals on ShinyLoot are up and they include a few Steam games:

    * 75% off Zombie Shooter (Steam): $1.25
    * 75% off Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded (Steam): $1.25
    * 66% off The Lunar Pack: Lunnye Devitsy and Wake (Steam): $1.70

    The Lunar Pack is definitely the one I'm most interested in of those. I also bought Oknytt, which isn't on Steam and is not in any way related to recently greenlit Knytt Underground (other than also being Swedish), but is a puzzle adventure based on Scandinavian folklore.

    So, there's a bunch of Steam activated stuff over on Green Man Gaming that can be purchased with the 25% off coupon, including big new titles like Castlevania: LoS, The Bureau and Saints Row 4.

    This matches the price it was during the summer sale, and honestly? It's just about worth this. JUST.
  • edited August 2013
    It's 5 bucks, and all of the horrific bugs and glitches have been patched out. It doesn't change the fact that it's a terrible game, but for that price...
  • edited August 2013
    ... But for that price, you'd still be better off waiting to buy a good game at $10 or $15 rather than 2 or 3 terrible ones at $5 each.

    I just noticed that there are some deals on Steam that end in less than a day, but haven't been announced that I know of:

    * 50% off Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 and 4 Bundle: 3,99€ / $3.99
    * 50% off Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 (Windows/Mac): 1,99€ / $2.49
    * 50% off Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 (Windows): 2,49€ / $2.49
    * 40% off Skyward Collapse (Windows): 2,99€ / $2.99

    The Nihon no Mura DLC for Skyward Collapse is 10% off.

    There are also big discounts on Postal, Shad'O and Chrome and I'm guessing these are part of the new week long deals.
  • edited September 2013
    Ok, the full list of weeklong sales are up:

    * 50% off Star Trek (Windows): 14,99€ / $14.99
    * 75% off Postal 2 Complete (Windows/Mac/Linux): 2,74€ / $2.49
    * 75% off POSTAL (Windows/Mac/Linux): 0,99€ / $1.24
    * 66/67% off The 39 Steps (Windows/Mac/Linux): 3,40€ / $4.99
    * 75% off Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers (Windows/Mac/Linux): 2,49€ / $2.49
    * 75% off Fireburst (Windows): 1,74€ / $2.49
    * 75% off Deep Black: Reloaded (Windows): 5,24€ / $7.49
    * 75% off Chrome (Windows): 0,99€ / $1.24
    * 75% off Chrome: Specforce (Windows): 0,99€ / $1.24
    * 75% off Unmechanical (Windows): 2,25€ / $2.50
    * 75% off Shad'O (Windows): 2,49€ / $2.49

    Unmechanical is a good game. I think it's been in a couple of bundles before and it was featured on IndieGameStand. It's not a very long game, but I'd say it's definitely worth it at this price.

    The Penny Arcade stuff was a sale that lasted the duration of PAX.
  • edited September 2013
    Ah, ok. That explains those. I checked the news and the sale on Skyward Collapse is probably because the DLC was released earlier this week.
  • Oh here it is.

    EDIT: WTF!? The new forum solution doesn't support UTF-8?

  • Thanks for doing that.

    Honestly, I just really don't have the heart to do this in the new forum. You do something for 2 years (has it been that long? Jesus...), you get stuck in your ways. And I really don't want to have to fight my way just to get things working like they did in days of old.

    I know I've said this before and it's never really stuck, but honestly? I think I'm actually done with this now.

    75% off

    EDIT: Whenever it actually decides to go on sale. It's in the news, but there's currently no discount.

    EDIT2: Now it's on sale.

  • About time, that thing practically never goes on sale. Good thing I got it last time it was 5 bucks.
