I'm not sure if you knew this, but Muppets actually make very badass pirates.

Watch them make LeChuck's nose red instead of purple.

    AND IT'S A RED....face.

Finally we get to see one of Guybrush's expressions!
  • edited April 2010

  • edited April 2010
I really really like this pic!! Guybrush face exspresion is awsome and leaves me with relife since the expresions in MI 2 are soo funny and from the other pics his face looked bland but this is the best pic so far

Couldn't agree more, they remind me of Bill Tiller's from Curse.

I should stop looking at those screens. In time the game itself won't hold anymore surprises.

I agree. This constant wave of screenshots is a curse, to be honest. First of all, we're given way too much time to analyze and critisize the new graphics. Second of all, we have already seen most of the game when it comes out, when part of the reason I'm looking forward to it IS the new graphics. And I'm too weak to not watch.
  • edited April 2010
They need to release the trailer already!

I'm just curious about the costume shop.
What will they have done to the Sam and Max costumes?
  • edited April 2010
I'm still guessing tentacle outfits, like the statue in the first game.

Yeah, It's almost spoiling the game for me, so I've pretty much ignored them for the time being. :)

That video is great and the footage of Dave, Tim and Ron recording the comentary is way cool. Its fantastic to see them all together. Can't wait for the game.

But then Guybrush's comment when he looks at them won't make sense! I think it was something like; 'I just remembered. I need to buy the newest comic by Steve Purcell.'
  • edited April 2010
Hmm...maybe they'll just remove the costume and the hotspot entirely...
  • edited April 2010
Or ask Steve Purcell really nicely :)
  • edited April 2010
Considering some of the other costumes were slightly-off versions of real characters, they might just call them Rabbit-Dog and Bunnym'n or something, and then change the name in Guybrush's comment to LeCrup Evets or something.
  • edited April 2010
I would imagine in this case they asked Purcell's permission and paid him for the usage. They probably didn't in the first one because it was just a simple sight gag, the tentacle idol worked just as well, and to save money since they didn't know how well it would sell.

After the success of the first SE, they're probably confident this one will also do well (I would agree, btw).

Not to mention they have what I assume a friendly relationship with TTG... Seeing as how their games are going to be sold in their store....

Not EXACTLY news-worthy, but I just read this on Craig Derrick's twitter:
Dominic Armato's (@SkilletDoux) rendition of Luke's "That's not true" monologue from ESB is my FAVORITE bit in MI2:SE so far!

So at least it can now be confirmed that Dom is back for MI2, he'll have voiced Guybrush in ALL FIVE Monkey Island games, and that the ending will be even more awesome than it was in 1991!
I just hope they got Earl Boen back too...

So that's Dominic Armato, Alexandra Boyd, and Phil LaMarr all confirmed for MI2, let's hope we see more from the cast list soon...

For the last time, the "all-star Monkey Island cast" has already been confirmed.

I wish this thing was out already the suspense is killing me

I just wish they gave us a release date. "Summer" is pretty vague!
  • edited April 2010
My bet is that if they say "summer" they have all summer to work on it if they need to... cant blow a date if you do not declare one.

I thought Phil Lamarr was more "hinted" than "confirmed"...

Of course, he now comes with voice. Who would be the perfect man to play our favorite Rastafarian boat captain?
    Will James wrote:

Thank you, Mr. James. I would highly agree.

So I mean, that kind of implies it, but it could also just be the dude who runs the facebook page agreeing that it would be awesome.

Unless it was confirmed someplace else, and I missed it?
  • edited April 2010
Yeah there was another Twitter or Facebook post that confirmed it. I think there was a news bit in an article as well with an official quote.
  • edited April 2010
So, guys, anyone with an idea what Telltale(praise the almighty)considers as "summer 2010"?
  • edited April 2010
It's LucasArts actually, but, hmm...I wouldn't have thought they'd have that much left to do by this point, it does look pretty much complete. At a stretch, May could be considered as summer. Thinking back to when SBCG4AP was upcoming though, originally they wanted it to come out in June 2008, and then it got delayed to "Summer 2008" and eventually it came out in August.

Tl;dr - Between May and August.
