Hum... A sphere or a cylinder are both simple. Something with angles would be harder since plushes are all soft. Something that requires to be made in several pieces would be harder.
Max was simple, for instance. Body+head= one piece, then one piece per arm and one piece per ear. Sam was harder. Still one piece for body+head, and two pieces for the arms and two for the ears, but also three pieces for the hat, and one piece each for his jacket, each sleeve and his pants. Oh, and the tie was 2 pieces, one of which was a huge pain.
I guess it's hard for people who don't knit to know what would be hard and what would be easy I rarely know myself until I see it, to be honest. It also depends on whether I have a pattern that would fit the bill or if I have to make it all myself (in which case I just have to try, unmake it, remake it, start over and so on again and again).
A piece of paper/cloth would be easy to knit - just a square. A map though? Not that easy. I mean, I'd have to embroider everything on top of the map, at which point it would be more of an embroidery project than a knitting project. If I wanted to make a map, I'd probably go with cross-stitching it instead.
Which could actually make a nice, relaxing change from knitting. I might see about doing that.
I have a fair amount of dinosaur patterns (and have knitted several in the past) but I'd need to know about specific ones that will appear, what colour they'll be, if there will be dinosaurs with personalities or just weird things that track you down rather than go for another, easier prey, stuff like that.
Knitting a dinosaur really won't be a problem though. It's common enough that the patterns are everywhere. Choosing which one to knit would probably prove harder.

Oooh, and about little Yare... Robert, you're a poo-head! Why are you so hard to knit, eh? Why can't you be all cartoony like fictional characters do? As a result, I'm putting you aside and not giving you clothes.
That's the most flimsy excuse I've ever heard for keeping a naked Yare doll.
I am not sure how hard this would be, but... A jar of Banang! Or the Can O' Nuts! It is a cylinder, but it might require embroidering, so I am not sure of the difficulty of those.
You could always join forces with Lucasarts and make some Guybrush Voodoo Dolls, give them to Telltale, and then we could buy them and have them shipped overseas to the UK!

That sounds interesting, actually. I might try the can of nuts. I just need to find good pictures now.

I think I'll wait until MI2:SE is sold by telltale. Then maybe
Couldn't you adapt the rocket pattern to make a Hidden person? Just add arms, legs, bubble eyes and a beard and wham! Hidden person. They're even the same color.

Hey, and it's the first time you've suggested it, too!
I am willing to put aside my love of TheBugTheBug, for now, so as to give your overworked, little fingers a rest. From knitting anyway.
That's ominous What other project involving my little fingers are you planning to dump on me?
Or was it just a reference to the fact that I use them to type?
Obviously you have to sew Chibi-Yare a waistcoat made from an argyle sock, and a white shirt to wear under it. Aaand ... some kind of pants. Brown? Honestly, what do you pair with argyle?
I think he uses the bow tie as a shield to hide behind so he doesn't have to acknowledge his complete lack of eyebrows and puffy, hair helmet. (I swear to god, every time I see him I think, "He's half-way to Vincentwithout make-up, just remake "Beauty and the Beast" already! )
Anyways! Are you voting for musketeer costume, sniper costume or civilian (read: argyle) costume? I might eventually make all 3 but it would be nice to know where to start.
Are you referring to Matt Smith? Aw, I think he's sweet. They can't all be David Tennant.
Ah, you are obviously not aware of Beauty and the Beast fandom. Vincent, deformed man beast though he was, was lusted after by millions. Personally I was too young for the lusting, but I thought lion-men were the Coolest Thing Ever! Okay, well, I guess I still kind of do, but come on! Giant dude who looks like a lion but is calmer than a zen priest and is poetic and crap? Who wouldn't want to sidekick that? Although I'd probably switch out the sappy, longing stuff to poetry that was ... less ... that. You know.
...
So I don't know poetry. I'm the comedic sidekick, what do you expect?

Ahhh I getcha. And I agree with you on the poetry thing - yawnface. Give me a kind heart (yes, preferrably with the rest of the guy still attached) and wicked funny any day.
I was raised on a cultural junk diet, so I'm slooowly expanding my filmic education with some of the stuff in the Classic Movies thread (people here are awesome). Is this one I should add to the (already rather long) list?
(Do you think I used enough parentheses in this post?)

What do you consider simple?

Never fear, we'll help!

Or you could go for an argyle-shorts-argyle combination for a nice aesthetic balance. Bow tie optional but recommended.
Sexy beast.
I love the way he's so insistent/defensive when he says it.
This is the correct answer.

Tell me if you need any more of them.
It is plain. I didn't think of taking a picture of the back. Sorry.
What about skinny spandex disco jeans?

They're very cute! These things always make me wish I could sew.

This, but maroon would be perfect!
I saw (and loved) the Disney version!
