I've had a good day today. One result of it means that I'm going to London for a few days on Friday, spending some time there with my brother, catch an away match as well. Should be fun.

Given my favorite LPers, sometimes the best thing is to just say whatever you're thinking. One of my absolute favorites was this Belgian dude who did an LP of Baldur's Gate I and II. Half the time was spent giving useful advice about how to get past difficult sections of the game and the other half was yelling at the NPCs when that strategy didn't work quite as planned.
Including all of the different ports of Donkey Kong?
You're reminding me of all the don't-pay-Nintendo bootlegs back then, too. I remember playing one stand-up arcade game, can't remember the exact name (it wasn't Crazy Kong), but it had the regular Nintendo animation up until you started controlling Mario, at which point the big ape suddenly became a bunch of blocks. I bet the thing didn't have enough CPU power to properly animate Donkey Kong and Mario at the same time.

If you have a lot of trouble with video, you could try doing something like Eddie's Let's Play Flight of the Amazon Queen? Either way, looking forward to it. Request to start with Space Quest!

I get to look forward to that joy in two quarters. But I'll be TAing a lab class. So in addition to making sure the undergrads don't managed to somehow blow up the building with e.coli for three hours or so a week, I also get to grade lab reports. And maybe lab exams.
The only good thing about this is that because the graduate students at my college outnumber the undergrads two to one, I only have to worry about doing this four times.
Trying to pick a thread for post number 6000. Until then I can't post outside Forum Games. (Edit: Well, that's done!) And it only took me 19 days shy of a year since I hit 5000 for the second time.

I happened to catch an episode of the Green Lantern cartoon a couple weeks ago where a power ring chose a freaking sentient planet to be a Green Lantern.
