Is that why all those states trying to secede?
  • edited November 2012
Not the States. The people in these States. And not even that. A handful of people in these States. And not even that. People where part consists of people from other States representing these States.

Didn't we have a civil war the last time people tried to secede from the union?

I don't think I like where this is going.

I wish they'd go away and form their own measly countries or whatever. I hate them all, and their stupid faces.

    They won't.. succeed at seceding.
  • edited November 2012
Honestly, in this day and age, secession is a pretty much impossible. It simply isn't feasible anymore with the way governments work now.
  • edited November 2012
Tell that to Quebec, they've(a certain party) been trying for like 15 years or so.

The funny part is that, with the exception of New York and Texas, most of those states receive more funding from the federal government than they pay in to it. So they'd really be shooting themselves in the foot if they tried seceding.

Really, of all the states, I think California would actually do the best job of being independent, despite enormous deficit, simply because a huge portion of industry, agriculture, and trade is located here. And we have the ninth highest GDP in the world. Funnily enough, nobody here seems to want it as much as the states that can't afford it.

You know where Louisiana is? 61. That's well below Mexico and Argentina.

I was playing it. I wanted to play this game because I knew it would be so bad it would stop me from buying anything Blizzard puts out. And it worked flawlessly in that regard.

I see that you GOT World of Warcraft although you didn't BUY it. You get this piece of ...excretion... either way!

If someone is suddenly a lot nicer to you and you don't even know them that well, then what does that mean....?

(Because someone at work was like that to me today. If anything its made me kind of paranoid now... >_>)

I don't know what it means. I would probably ask them directly if I was in your situation. (Though, to be honest, I'd most probably not even notice a change in their behaviour.)

If there is one thing I pick up on. Its emotions. Behavior.

There are very few people I can't read. There *is* one person at work I don't like to look at for this reason. Something about their eyes that betrays them, (not the same person as the girl that has changed her attitude to me).

I wonder if she has received some kind of information, some kind of stimuli that has changed her perspective. The analyst in me is curious to find out why.
(But I'm sure that the next time I talk to her, (if I do, since the workplace allows little opportunity for a chat), I'll find out or have a clue to that reason)

It really is. I got a free copy of WoW stuck in my big box Diablo II. They can't give them away anymore so they're using the old pusher tactic and giving the first sample for free.

THANK GOD Blizzard doesn't have my address. Before we know it, WoW DVDs receive the AOL CD treatment and we don't know where to hide from them.

No idea if they do. Don't care if they do.
My IP is stored constantly in several places. Including several vBulletin forums.

All I know is the server you get (e.g. in D3) depends on the client you installed, not the current IP adress.

the sheer amount of people freaking out about a punchline of a joke involving being gay at the end of paranorman is pretty ridiculous.

it was a total throw away joke that completely inconsequential to the plot.
i guess being gay is a bigger problem than murdering children.

Damn. There's a lot of hate in those articles.

Though, my favorite bit was this dude who started ranting about how being able to spread your own immoral beliefs was not a right and how it caused disgusting diseases and was a choice and shit like that. Then the next commenter said, "Geez. Calm down, dude. Not all Christians are like that."

    BAZING.

Could be nothing to do with you, too. Could be that they've made a realization in their own lives that they're not being friendly enough, and are now trying to overcompensate. I would accept them as their new selves, while keeping an eye out for things like, "So, can you lend me your new gaming console for a week, ol' pal?"
