I was all on-board with Sony Vegas, until I actually tried to make the video, at which point it sent me into a murderous frenzy by constantly crashing at the 21% mark for absolutely no reason. The one time it DID compile, all it produced was 35 minutes of a black screen.
I did eventually get it to work though - with higher settings that mean the video is 1.8GBs.
The limits of my anger know no bounds.
Anyway. The solution was to upload that 1.8GB file to YouTube (who promptly blocked it because of copyrighted material, which I completely expected because YouTube is fucking useless) and then just use VideoDownloader to grab the processed YouTube video - now a much more sensible 132 MBs - and upload that to Blip.
So much for Sony Vegas!
So... Final Cut Pro? Might give that one a try next. I do have a documentary-style video in the works that'd be a good way of testing it...
Why don't you try something like Pinnacle Stufio before dropping a few hundred on FCP.
To be honest, I haven't looked into it much. I just heard someone mention FCP and thought it was a legit suggestion. I'll do more research before actually making the plunge on anything.
The Fez Humble Store Widget is live. Gives a higher percentage of the purchase to Polytron than Steam or GOG, also gives a DRM-free download AND a Steam code.

Ugh, maybe they could have mentioned that before the release day, many people(including me) already pre-ordered it elsewhere.
The War of the Dead series deserves more recognition from gamers. John Carpenter's films amalgamated into original Metal Gear/Zelda 2-type games with adventure elements?
So much imagination and inventiveness with those technological restraints.
A-ha, they're adding something that doesn't have Iron Man in the title, and putting breaks in between! To socialize with your fellow marathoners, perhaps?
Ack! I accidentally installed Haiku over my Ubuntu installation, so now my computer is not startable since it relies on grub to choose operating systems.

Time to make a Knoppix CD (or other alternate bootable thingy) and see what you can salvage?

There were breaks in-between during the Avengers Marathons which were really successful for them. They were used largely to refill/purchase more refreshments and to use bathrooms. For the Avengers one they had laminated badges on lanyards to identify the people allowed in.

So this is pretty much the schedule we got. They had intermission between movies to let people get up and move around, stretch, that sort of thing. There were also games that they had, mini competitions to win prizes like trivia and such.
We got the bottomless coke and popcorn, so we wouldn't have to pay for drinks over and over again. I had awful food just about every movie, like hot wings, fries, cheese sticks. Going to be working this off for a while.

Everything turned out OK. I used an old computer to burn a Ubuntu CD. I used the Haiku DVD to format the partition from BFS to NTFS, then the Ubuntu CD to format the partition to Ext2 and installed Ubuntu back onto it. Everything works fine now (I can triple boot into Windows 7, Ubuntu, or Haiku). The grub2 menu just shows a blank screen for 10 seconds (the Ubuntu build I was using before was really old and still used the original grub), and I can't seem to get it to show up no matter what settings I change. But since the grub menu actually works to select operating systems despite it not showing up, I don't really care too much about it.
So this has been a productive day, though it's all because I decided on Tuesday to find out how long it would take to listen through all of the Idle Thumbs podcasts available on iTunes and as part of that today I listened to 8 hours worth of them while playing Forza 4 (not in one long session, I took breaks here and there). Good news is that since Tuesday I've listened to 14 episodes. Bad news, there's another 115 left to go.
Also, as a result I've got the Idle Thumbs theme stuck in my head. Not a bad thing really except when I start chanting 'games, video games, video games'...

i listened to them all in a short time as well and yeah "video games" and "wizard" are now sort of trigger words for the memory of idle thumbs
Yesterday I made 250 dollars making food for 2 hours and then proceeding to drink german beer and scotch and eat food for 6 hours then cleaning for the last hour or so. Why can't this be my job everyday?

I want another bunny so badly now. I miss having one around.
All 3 movies? I wish I did that when I saw 3.
What the hell are you doing with the other five hours and forty minutes?
This on a loop.
Probably drinking and hitting up the ladies. His favourite past times.

Preparing himself for an Iron Man Triathlon?
Iryon Man?!

I like Slayer and he was a human being, so it's sad it that regard, but he was the asshole hick/bigot of the band. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

All 3, two drink minimum, no bathroom breaks. Let's rock and roll.

Also I'm really sore.
No. He would be expected to go with Tantor.
UGH that freaks me out.
(Only thing is... I'd need an actual microphone. Webcam mic isn't going to cut it, even if its just a shitty joke game)
