Yes, ultimately that is what I will do... but I hope I can make it easier on the computer if I just cram every sound into one big file. After all, having 9 audio-tracks play at the same time can become increasingly difficult to render ^^

I managed to finish that effect I was complaining about. Now all I have to do is make the intro look nice and all that.

More info on the Star Trek crossover comic:

    Cover:
    tumblr_lzef70IT5x1qijoeyo1_500.jpg

The plot is the Borg have teamed up with the Cybermen and they have to stop it, which is appropriately fan-wanky. It'll be released in Eight Issues starting in May.

But when will the inevitable Compilation come out?!

In fact, where does one buy comics from anyway?
  • edited February 2012
Forbidden Planet. They have a pretty large comics collection in their London store. (Was there yesterday, so can definitely confirm this. Also, that Zam Wessell comic book? 99p. Guess she's not that hot.)

Hey, at least the plot of this comic makes more sense than the Star Trek-X-Men crossover. Ugh.

    Patrick Stewart for 12th doctor!

Borg and Cybermen have almost too much in common... it's like, what would they gain from teaming up? I'd kind of like to see an epic rap battle of the Borg vs the Cybermen, but I don't know how they'd get along fighting on the same side. Guess we'll see

There are various places online..... It's worth noting that IDW are banned from selling their "Doctor Who" comics to the UK (it would conflict with Panini's licence) so everything has to be imported by the vendors themselves.

Are we going to have a problem here, thou gloopy droog?

Alas, they only have 8 stores in the entire country (all in England too, incidentally), so sad face.

I'm sure you can buy IDW compilations like "The forgotten" easily enough in the country. Amazon stocks it without mentioning any importedness, and I believe you can get it on the Doctor Who comic app.

I'll probably wait for a compilation around christmas time.

    Yay!

They're (meaning Matt Smith as Doctor Who, Karen Gillan as Amy Williams, and Arthur Darvill as Rory Pond) starting rehearsals today! It's a Susan B. Anthony Day miracle!

Well, once they've imported a few copies it's no longer a problem! Though I can't help wondering if IDW will have to do a bigger print-run for this crossover series...

Russel T Davies' Doctor Who was better than Steven Moffat's.

    Discuss.

Irrelevant, Paul McGann's sixty minutes in the spotlight trumps anyone else's performance as Doctor Who.

I love how my video about the Doctor Who Experience was completely ignored by all. I dunno, after all the effort I put into that thing... This is why we can't have nice things, people.

Also, Douglas Adams' run was better than anything else the show's had.

Wait... the person in that vid talking was you?

I never expected that to be your voice. I thought you were posting something you found on the web!

I must say, the pics are pretty sweet. And I want to fly the TARDIS!

Why you can't have nice things, maybe. I just watch the show. I don't see what videos about the show have to offer me. What, is it new stories? Are Matt Smith and company gallivanting about the cosmos on fun new adventures? That's a nice thing and that's what I was discussing.
There's a time and a place to complain about your video and this isn't really it, I don't think.

I was complaining about the fact that no-one seemed to have watched it. Now that I know that's not the case, I retract my tounge-in-cheek statement.

Oh wait, no I don't, because it was tounge-in-cheek.

    Ladies, ladies, calm down! :p

The video was awesome. It made me nostalgia. Plus there is more stuff there now than when I went! I would've replied when I watched it, but I had a doctors appointment to attend, and then totally forgot about it. Sorry!

To compensate, have a free50 minute Paul McGann episode, for your listening pleasure.

Anyway, your video was not as awesome as my doctor who video!
    :p

His whopping single season that everyone hates other then City of Death, eh?

I was taking Comrade Pant's comment to mean 'Russel T Davies' Doctor Who(s)' referring to the people who played his Doctor Who.

And, no, you're all wrong, the best era of the show was Cartmel's three years. The Neo-Nazis v The Cybermen!
  • edited February 2012
I think the Big Finish years (1997-2005) were probably the best of the bunch.

Again, tounge-in-cheek. I know he wasn't exactly the best thing to happen to the show.

I believe it was just Season 17 off memory. He did write The Pirate Plnet the previous year though (in my opinion the weakest Key to Time story)

Hey, I just said it was my least favorite in one of the strongest seasons ever! It certainly pales in comparison to the story on either end, as Ribos and Stones really are fantastic.

I hated ribos. As did my good friend MISTER FIBUUULIIII! It was different, and funny, which contrasted with the standard gothic episodes.

Stones was pretty cool though, succeeding in making pillars of polystyrene relatively scary.

But...but... Ribos is heavily political! And those are the best kinds of stories!

The Meddling Monk cannot and should not return unless played by Bill Bailey. Seeing as he just appeared in the Christmas Special, it should have a bit of downtime.

Plus he's made an appearance in a audio only a year or two back, but to say which'd be a pretty big spoiler.
