    I wonder why Time Lords use a human form all the time The Doctor said looking human was optional. And there are cool alien forms they could use but most time lords are old white people.

    After re-watching Season 2 and 3 of the New Who I've just realized the Doctor pretty much doomed New Earth to death...
    I mean he shuts down the revolutionary medical facility that was finding cures to diseases centuries in advance...
    Then the entire planet dies of a virus...

    Good news for the last two Destiny of the Doctor releases - after the disappointig news Nicholas Briggs is reading for 9, it's now confirmed that Catherine Tate and Jenna Coleman will be reading the last two.

    I'm led to believe it's a bit of a last-minute thing; John Barrowman seems to have rather unexpectedly began hosting some forthcoming US singing talent show in the past month and so has become unavailable to record. At a guess, he had an early verbal commitment but had to drop out, meaning they got Nick Briggs in as someone who was in more Ninth Doctor episodes than Captain Jack.

    I'm glad they've been been used quite so much lately, so that when they show up it's a BIG thing.

    Not that it wasn't before, of course, it just feels more like it now.

    Well they clearly look more intimidating (if you hold the suspension of disbelieve you have to for any dalek story) then they have done since RTD era.

    Yeah, those are CLASSIC Daleks through and through. Can't beat that.

    (Still not sure why they felt the need to redesign the damn things so much, they were fine as is)

    Actually, I don't really mind the Daleks. I just think there's so much potential in the franchise for new villains that squandering episodes on the Daleks is a bit of a waste. But it is understandable that they are back for the anniversary, especially if it is about the Time War.

    I actually watched the VFX first. It's a better trailer than most of the official ones have been.

    I think John Hurt should be the next Doctor just to piss off the fangirls. Also, I want a grizzled Doctor for a change.

    Pertwee said he was thousands of years old once but that seems to have been retconed out.

    The new Radio Times has reported the existence of some rumours
    1) a Classic d Doctor will be in the Anniversary Special
    2) the next Doctor will be revealed in August, probably in a "Doctor Who Confidential"

    However, confirmation of the existence of rumours does not confirm the rumours themselves.
