Most shots yes, but there were some shots that were obviously using a different model. First example, the shot of the time machine landing in the alley. Main differences are the "cooling towers" on the back and no DMC logo in the middle of the hubcaps.:p
That's bugged the crap out of me ever since I first noticed it. Nothing about the in-game model will ever bother me as much as that shot in the second movie. Hopefully that says something about how little this matters.
Has anybody stop to think that perhaps it's the matching plate that came with the one that got burnt. Licence plates do come in pairs, one for the front and one for the back, and since we've never seen the front one attached, Doc must have the spare one sitting around somewhere.

I've never had a front license plate on my vehicle and when our state changed them, I just got one. I dunno how it might be outside Oklahoma, but here, most front plates are vanity plates.
After the movie comes out, Telltale should make a poster depicting the timeline of the movies and game, with explanations (however brief) for every continuity error. Hell, I'd buy it, and I haven't even seen any of the movies in its entirety.
MAYBE someone picked up the license plate from the Hill Valley parking lot in 1985 and REATTACHED it to a DeLorean from another time period, because the future plate is from an unwritten future and therefore disappeared.
What? That is within at least two of the multiple logics of the triology!
Hmmm, following that way of thinking one can say that Mr Fusion also must disappear, right?
I don't think Doc rebuild a DeLorean. He probably lent it somewhere from the timeline .
This would seem the most likely because he obviously had a few adventures before meeting up with Marty again at the end of BTTFI, but he's wearing a wedding ring in the trailer.
Even considering this is a very small point that even most nerdy fans won't notice.. It's definitely too early to be jumping to the "they just messed up" conclusion. For one, we don't know where this DeLorean came from, especially considering it was destroyed at the end of the last movie. If it's been completely rebuilt, perhaps he just preferred that licence plate.
I'm sure there will be one or two mistakes.. But let's at least wait to see if there's any explanations for them, especially for things like this that can be easily explained away by what little we know or can assume.
I think Doc got a BttF1 DeLorean and installed it with a Mr. Fusion.
Why? The answer is pretty simple. Plutonium is impossible to come by. He only got it in BttF1 because he worked for a terrorist group.
If you would need to find Plutonium every time you needed to time travel in the game....yeah well...it wouldn't work.
I really really hope the DeLorean won't fly for the first 2 or 3 eps. I just want to start out with a DeLorean that needs to get to 88 mph on the ground.
Owh...and I am so glad that they try to retain the first license plate. That one is far more nostalgic. OUTATIME 'nuff said
I think he went into the far future with the timetravel train. somewhere around 2100 era and there he went to a time-travel museum where in that era Doc is famous for inventing time-travelling (Brown's Timetravel museum) and he stole a working prototype Delorean from the museum and went back to 1985
Well, the reason the 1985 DeLorean has a Mr. Fusion is because "shut up, it does". Actually, they probably didn't want to write a reason Marty needs to get plutonium in every game.
To me, there's an easy way to rectify any continuity errors.
It's a new machine. (Yes, I realize that there's no confirmation of that, but hear me out) Given Doc's penchant for avoiding paradoxes, he's not going to "borrow" one from during the current timeline; what if it happened to get destroyed accidentally? I doubt he could build another one before he or Marty faded from existence.
No reason he couldn't rebuild another; he did it in the cartoons (ok, no throwing stuff at me for making that point....not like I'm suggesting it turns into a suitcase, or that the dog will drive it). He built a freakin' time train for crying out loud. This is a man for whom time really has no meaning; he can take as long as he wants to build it. Heck, he probably can't even die; just travel ahead to when they've perfected some sort of anti-aging drug. I'm sure with time travel he can have unlimited resources, too. I mean, how else did he get that case of money?
So, I don't see it as an issue. And yes, I do tend to be a stickler about stuff. Maybe not as much as some people here, and I don't necessarily hunt for the issues (never knew about the hubcaps, for instance, but now it'll probably bother me forever), but still.
/me sits back and waits for people to debunk his ideas.
He probably had the case of money from his inheritance. It is applied that the Von Brhauns was a somewhat wealthy family, or at least had a respectable fortune that Doc inherited.
And I dunno....I have difficulty believeing Doc would create a DeLorean without the Hover Conversion(yeah I know it isn't established yet whether it has it or not).
And why would he again use the DeLorean as a model?
Why not a better sports car from the future that gets up to 88 mph much faster.

Well, that, and do you know how many tomatoes would have been thrown at the Telltale team if they had made a BTTF game without the DeLorean? Lots. Lots and lots of tomatoes.
True but still...I'd like to think TellTale also likes to make coherent stories that aren't farfetched and flow well. Writing is one of their strongsuits. And having Bob Gale involved helps too.
Personally, I would like to have another explanation than Doc having build a new one.
It would raise too many questions. I'd like them find a smart way around that.

Actually, Doc building a new one is an explanation that would raise ABSOLUTELY NO questions. Now, Doc NOT building a new DeLorian, on the other hand, WOULD raise TOO many questions.
No, it would be explained. Where he got it what era and how he plans to return it not to alter the timeline.
Uhm... Since the ONLY DeLorian was destroyed in BttF3, and after all the mess that happened in the BttF trilogy, I think Doc is smart enough to NOT do on purpose anything that would have the SLIGHTEST chance to mess up that chain of events.
And regarding him chosing DeLorian again, clearly it's because even up to this date it's the most stylish machine ever (and we all know Doc loves his Time Machine stylish ) and it's technical capabilities are not a problem since Doc can do whatever modifications he wants with it.

It was clearly stated he used his whole fortune building the time machine in the first movie.
As for the hover, it was clearly stated it was added when he went to 2015; an after-market product if you will. He probably doesn't know how to build it himself, and if he hasn't gone back to 2015 with it yet....
And finally, for using another sports car, that's simple. He would've had to redesign the whole system for the new car. It's much easier just to get another DeLorean and use his old plans.
it was clearly stated it was added when he went to 2015; an after-market product if you will. He probably doesn't know how to build it himself, and if he hasn't gone back to 2015 with it yet....
.............I know that. He could've easily gone to 2015 to give it the convenient upgrade.
Or go to a different future where it is cheap.
I was thinking about"All of a sudden the DeLorean reappears"
From 1885 to 1955, the DeLorean was stranded in the mine. Doc could at any minute and take it from there ... would not use a paradox because after being used, could be placed there again it would come quietly to Marty in 1955.
This also explains why the Doc and Marty did not just pick up the gasoline Delorian that Doc had put the mine (which had been struck by lightning) and placed in Delorian that came along with Marty (which had damaged the fuel tank and they used the locomotive to push [OMG SPOILERS!]. When They put it in the place again. the fuel was empty. (in 1885, logically speaking, there are two Delorians).
To store a vehicle for a long period of time, you take all the liquids out, including gasoline, oil and coolant/water because the rubber hoses rot from the inside out; and Doc says "I put gas in the tank", implying there was no gas in it.
If they take the DeLorean from the mine (or any other point in the Trilogy timespan, for that matter), then they would suffer the IMMEDIATE changes of the ripple effect when going to any date after Nov. 13, 1955, for the same reason why Marty didn't erase from existence at the moment George wasn't hit by Lorraine's dad's car in 1955 and why Old Biff doesn't feel the effects of his actions but after returning the DeLorean to 2015.
So, if this was the same DeLorean as the one in the mine, BTTF3 couldn't happen, not even if Doc plans to take it back before it's unearthed by Marty and Non-time-travelling-Doc in 1955 (Because, as Bob Gale said, everything happens the moment it happens On-Screen), Doc wouldn't have the ring in his hand and, as we know, the events in the game are happening AFTER the events in BTTF3.
^
Yeah it's weird. Because IF Doc promises to return it, the timeline should remain the same. But that's not how time worked within the three movies.
Because if that was true than for example in BttF1 Marty should've never started to fade in 1955. Why? Because he would leave that time succesfully bringing together his parents again. So when he screwed up nothing should've changed since he is finally going to succeed.
Like everyone's been saying, there's no knowing for sure where this one came from, but I highly doubt it could be:
1) BTTF1 DeLorean upgraded with Mr Fusion. Remember, as soon as Doc was on his feet again, he went to 2015. So the BTTF1 is out.
2) BTTF2 DeLorean. Same problems. Doc wouldn't have wanted to leave the time machine alone for long, so I doubt he'd have just left it for anyone to just grab, even himself. And he only left it once in 1955. Also, Doc wouldn't have taken this time machine for a quick jaunt because its time circuits were faulty. That's why he ended up in 1885 in the first place. So, possible, but very, VERY unlikely.
3) BTTF3 DeLorean from Delgado Mine. Doc would NOT have taken this car. Even with the availability of repair components, he would NOT have taken this car. Too many paradox issues occur. If he didn't return it to the precise location in the exact same state that it was in when Marty retrieved it, then Doc would have either gotten killed by Buford at the worst, or not met Clara at the best case scenario, and in both cases, Jules and Verne would be wiped from existence. There are far too many variables at work here, so the Delgado Mine DeLorean is out of the question.
4) BTTF3 DeLorean retrieved immediately before it was destroyed. This one raises fewer questions of causality than the other DeLoreans, but there's still one primary concern. One that I don't think many people realize when the BTTF3 DeLorean comes up. The car was 70 years old! Yes it was reasonably well preserved, but Marty and Doc were very lucky to get it running again. And after being converted for use on rails, as well as having several parts ruined(fuel injection manifold) and jury-rigged(time circuits), I really think that this particular time machine is just plain unreliable, so Doc would be unlikely to try retrieving this one.
I really think a new DeLorean is the better choice. Plus, the new one probably has a hover conversion, but Marty had never flown the car. Only Doc did, so Marty probably would've felt far more comfortable driving the car up to 88 mph. And if it is a new DeLorean, which I think is very likely(Telltale can chime in on this at any time), then any inaccuracies become a moot point. Doc had several years to refine some of his designs, and he was probably able to eliminate several superfluous components.

Exactly.
- Marty starts to fade at the moment where Dixon "cutted in" and started dancing with Lorraine, because Lorraine knew she'd spend her entire life with George when he kissed her. So, when that moment became shaky, Marty's future became too.
- Biff didn't feel the events immediatelly because, in 1955, he was in a moment where he could have easily taken back the almanac and stopped everything from happening but, when arriving to 2015, everything was done and Biff's existence was affected by it.
So, taking the mine DeLorean to any date after 1955 would erase BTTF3's events immediatelly, causing a paradox.

And that's why I'm so comfortable with the missing relays, missing voltage regulator, missing Torin blower and "OUTATIME" license plate
Biff didn't feel the events immediatelly because he was in a moment where he could have easily taken back the almanac and stopped everything from happening, but by 2015, everything was done and Biff's existence was affected by it.
Biff did feel it immediately. Well okay....maybe 1 sec after. His existence already started fading when he was still in the DeLorean.
Biff did feel it immediately. Well okay....maybe 1 sec after. His existence already started fading when he was still in the DeLorean.
That's what I'm talking about: He didn't feel them in 1955 (although we don't see it, but I think he wouldn't have come back if he was feeling too ill to drive/fly), but when arriving to 2015 and opening the door, he looked tired and only started clenching after getting his cane off the car (probably breaking it when the effects became stronger).
So, after the temporal displacement was over, the ripple effect kicks in because 1985 and the 90's were already gone.
So, after the temporal displacement was over, the ripple effect kicks in because 1985 and the 90's are already gone.
Ummm...I don't get this. I just like to think that it takes some time for the changes to take place.
That's my 'ripple effect'. I mean, they left 2015 immediately after Bill returned. So I think if they stayed just 1 minute longer they would've seen the future change.
My theory on why Marty didn't get erased immediately in 1955 is because he might've prevented his dad from meeting his mom like they were supposed to, but they would've still ended up together. But the longer Marty stays the slimmer this chance gets as his mom falls more in love with him.
Ummm...I don't get this. I just like to think that it takes some time for the changes to take place.

The ripple effect means "Butterfly Effect". Old Biff doesn't feel the effects of Young Biff using the almanac because, while still in 1955, he was in a time where Biff had not used the almanac yet. Biff uses the almanac in 1958, when he turned 21. When Old Biff returned to 2015, 1958 had already passed and Young Biff had already used the almanac, leading to his probable death in the 90's ("probable" because this is based on a deleted scene. He could have just had a heart attack when arriving, which would make the ripple-effect-affecting-old-Biff point irrelevant), and the ripple effect kicks in (Biff starts erasing from existence) right when he re-enters 2015 (again, non-canonical because it's based on a deleted scene).
Hill Valley might have already changed. Bob Gale has stated that they left that scene ambiguous for the viewer's interpretation. That's why Doc catches Jennifer before Biff returns with the DeLorean and Doc and Marty carry her out after Biff's back: Maybe another family lives there now and we never got the chance to see that. Hilldale might have or have not changed at all by Biff's little trip, but still he got to a 2015-A that transformed around Doc, Marty, Jennifer and Einstein.
My theory on why Marty didn't get erased immediately in 1955 is because he might've prevented his dad from meeting his mom like they were supposed to, but they would've still ended up together. But the longer Marty stays the slimmer this chance gets as his mom falls more in love with him.
The key point in Marty's future is the kiss in the Enchantment Under the Sea dance, not Sam Baines hitting George with the car and Lorraine having the Florence Nightingale Syndrome. When that event was in jeopardy, Marty's future was.
Back to the original topic: I agree with many of the others that this DeLorean time machine is EXTREMELY LIKELY a second DeLorean time machine that Doc built. Especially with the logic to support it. I mention the details that would suggest such, like this one both having the OUTTATIME license plate AND Mr. Fusion.
I'd like to know what happened with Clara Clayton, Jules, Verne, and that steam locomotive time vehicle after BTTF3. I bet we'll find out.

By the looks of it, garbage is something hard to come by in 1931 too, so Marty will have enough problems trying to fuel Mr. Fusion

Two very, very good reasons.
1) His plans were already designed fr the DeLorean. No point redoing those if you don't have to.
2) More importantly, DeLorean's are just awesome cars.
